The home has two unique offerings.

The music studio, with its vaulted ceilings and multiple isolation booths, has recently hosted Australia's #1 electronic dance group, Rufus Du Sol. It is a storied part of Los Angeles music history, created by one of the founders of Trotsky Icepick in the mid-1980's, and used at times by Paramount Records. Purchased and refurbished by the current owner in 1996, this studio home hosted Venice fixtures Ballyrag and Squick, the engineers of Groovetree Recording, Nova Blue, and many others. Engineers have tuned the sound room over the decades with baffles and foam to produce a perfect sound ambiance beloved by recording artists, engineers, and DJ's alike. The studio comprises 600 square feet, with a live room, control room, isolation booths, triple-pane glass window between rooms, and silent air conditioning. It can alternate as office space, a yoga or meditation studio, or whatever your imagination can summon. The studio contains an acoustic guitar and a modest set of speakers for playing tunes from your device.

The other standout feature of the home: the newly constructed modern salt water pool. It features a waterfall infinity spa, multiple shelf levels, a diving deep end, and three pillars built into the pool superstructure which support a cabana/carport. The pool size is 12 meters by 4 meters, or 32 feet by 12 feet. It is 8 feet at the deepest point, allowing diving, tapering to about 3-4 feet deep on the shallow end. On the Baja shelves, you can lie down on your back and relax, or sit in the deeper shelf.

The sizable spa heats up in 20 minutes. The pool is heated year-round.

Pool maintenance is normally on Tuesday and Friday, and landscape maintenance is on Tuesday, during the day.

Rates are for up to 4 persons, extra guests are $25/day. Occupancy is determined by persons on premises at any time.greatest attractions.

House Rules

Please enjoy our home and neighborhood, and treat them with the same respect you would your own.

- No smoking or smokers allowed anywhere on premises, either outside or inside. Any sign of smoking will result in a fee for abatement and cleanup, and other more serious sanctions.

- NO PARTIES, no music outside, all guests must be registered whether visiting or sleeping. Keep noise outside to minimum. Quiet hours after 10PM. Spa and pool use not allowed after 10PM, as with most hotels. When playing in studio, shut doors. Noise complaints result in cancellation, loss of deposit, and fine.

- No pets. Service dog fraud is prohibited under California Penal Code 365.7 PC. Violation will result in cancellation or $500 fee or both. This home is not a public accommodation as a hotel. Please respect the health of others with serious allergies, who legally require a pet-free home.

- Photo ID of booker, and guest list required, sent to the host on channel within 24 hours of booking.

- Children under 12 must be watched at all times, and are acknowledged to have pool training.

- No filming or photo shoots, except by special arrangement.

- We ask not to cook fish indoors, in consideration of other guests. A BBQ is provided outside, and we suggest a delicious foil wrap with butter/oil.

- Please do not send packages to this residence. Any mail delivered to this property cannot be guaranteed.

- Please empty food into garbage, not the garbage disposal. Rinse dishes before placing in the dishwasher.

- Only toilet paper in the toilet. A $300 fee will be assessed for clogs due to anything else.

- Loss of remote or keys will result in a $50 charge.

- On departure: Leave property in same condition that you received it. Dishes done and put away, food and drinks removed from fridge. Close all windows, turn off AC, spa, lights. Pots & pans hand washed and returned to original location. All trash removed and taken outside, placed in trash bins (use remotes on entry counter). Please inform us if you have broken anything. If additional cleaning is required, please let us know.

You agree not to raise issues in a review which were not given a reasonable chance to be remediated. Issues must be documented via text in the conversation thread. Acceptance of House Rules invalidates any review which does not follow this guideline.

Please note that this property features a detached music studio equipped with a central HVAC system, and an electronic dehumidifier, to maintain optimal air quality and humidity control.

Being soundproof, the studio is a wonderful place to sleep as well as jam, and also doubles as a high quality office space. Use of the studio is only limited by your imagination.

By booking this property, guests acknowledge awareness of the music studio’s features . Use of the studio is entirely at the guest’s discretion, and anyone using or sleeping in the music studio agrees that any such use does not constitute grounds for a refund or other compensation, nor is grounds for a negative review.
