This was a great place to stay and enjoy the beach and the beautiful Oregon coast. It was the perfect escape for us and our pup to head out and whale watch, walk the beach and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
Enjoyed the comforts of home while reuniting with old friends, some camping and one staying with me at the cottages. So nice to be able to relax, enjoy a slow morning with the comforts of home while watching and listening to the waves. Spectacular sunsets and beach access is a definite plus!

Great location and beach access
We had a great time staying here. Great location and easy walk to the beach. Our dogs had a blast. There is a great trail to walk in Waldport. Great place for a couple and small children or just a couple. Definitely would stay again.

All the units have their own balconies with Beach views. It was so much fun!
We really enjoyed our stay and will likely come here again. The cottage is right on the beach, but know that car sounds from nearby 101 may encourage one to sleep with the windows closed and a fan on to drown out the sound. We didn’t have any need to communicate with the property manager.

Beautiful view
Really enjoyed our stay here. Me, my friend, and my dog stayed for a weekend and as soon as we got inside we were really happy with the place and the view is amazing. All our neighbors were nice and respectful. Based on the pictures we assumed there was nothing to cook on but there ended up being a plug in stove top and an air fryer. Overall, really happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again!
It was perfect. Location beautiful and I loved watching the ocean from huge comphy chair. Bed was comfortable.
Pictures don’t do justice as all the floors are newly updated. Small but efficient and perfect for us. The housekeepers take pride in doing a great job.
The stay was great. Bed was comfortable, and it was quiet.
Kitchen was small but great for a week. There is a convention toaster oven and 2 burner hot plate. Good for tacos and spaghetti.
The owner has updated the flooring from carpet and linoleum to a black walnut finish (not shown in photos). It was super pet friendly and easy to sweep sand up.

Mostly very good
Location, location, location! You can’t beat it for a quiet beach stay. Wasn’t spotless but clean. Big comfy, looking chair needs replacing because of the cavity you fall into in the back. Cable remote worked but TV remote didn’t have batteries. Microwave sounded like it was working, but there was never any heat. Would’ve been more of a problem if I ate most meals in.

Meh...
Husband, myself and our lab for our19th anniversary. Chose this cottage because it allows dogs and has great beach access.
The owners should probably know by now that if they allow pets, they shouldn't have carpeting. We got there really late and the place had been closed up. We got settled. The bedroom is nice size and the bathroom as well. As others have said, the highway is right there and unfortunately so is your bedroom. The highway quiets down at night but don't plan on sleeping in. When we sat down to relax in the living room, it smelled like we were sitting next to a litter box. It's a good thing it wasn't that cold because we ended up leaving the living room windows open the entire time.
They do indeed have a clarifier that the internet wasn't suitable for working but what they should actually say is they have no internet. That might not be a very big deal except you're kind of isolated and you can't always go out to eat because of COVID19 so if you want to order food you can't research restaurants that are nearby because the Internet won't last long enough if you do make a connection. Plan ahead.
I can't stress how much they need to remove fireplace from their listing. It's not a fireplace it's a great big wooden box with a fake fireplace insert that uses a remote with the buttons taped over on it. When you do turn it on there's one little plastic log in the middle that gets a little bit red and that's the fireplace!
I get that it's a beach house but the decor is overly funky. This would be a perfect place where less is more. It seemed kind of cluttered.
I can say that we won't stay in that particular unit again but if we can find one with a bedroom on the beach side that does not allow cats and is reasonably priced we would consider a stay in a different unit.

Jacqueline, the homeowner would like to share the following message:
"Hi Jacqueline, We appreciate your feedback. First and foremost, you'll be glad to know that the internet is no longer an issue at our property. The owner recently upgraded to a new state-of-the-art WiFi system with fiber optic service lines and high speeds. Unfortunately, the system was being installed during your stay, so you weren't able to enjoy it. You won't have any issues during your next stay. Regarding your other comments, we don't allow cats in the property. We have a "dog only" policy for the reasons mentioned. We did receive your email upon your check-out and had our cleaning crew check for cat odor. They could not find any evidence of a cat in residence or of the smell you mentioned, so we're a little perplexed as to what you identified upon your arrival. It might have just been a bit stale from being closed up for several days. Additionally, we're aware that the fireplace in this cottage is only for ambiance. It's not designed to generate much heat. We do have other cottages at the property with full-size wood-burning fireplaces. We also have many with ocean-facing bedrooms that have excellent views and no traffic noise. We do recognize that the Historic Highway 101 is heavily traveled during the day, and most vacation homes along the historic highway and Oregon coast will have some traffic noise for rooms that are on the highway side of the property. We hope to host you again in the future."
