Lakefront Retreat on Galway Lake, NY

Great lake views. Great fishing (smallmouth bass, pickerel, walleye, crappie, perch, sunfish).
No gas motors are allowed. Definitely "kid-friendly."
4 Kayaks, row boat and life jackets available. large deck on the water.
25 Minute drive to Downtown Saratoga Springs
Grill, fire pit, our door fire place.

1 King, 2 Queen, 1 single, 1 cot.

There is a wood burning fire place in the living room, a pellet stove in the sun room and a gas fire place in one of the bedrooms and yes we provide wood. Linens are provided. Cable TV.

Just returned from a relaxing weekend at this beautiful lakehouse! Our family had a lovely time and we absolutely enjoyed this peaceful lake. We even got to see a bald eagle! Our host was friendly, courteous and made us feel right at home! Highly recommended!

Fun stay in the lake

Michael’s lakeside retreat was the perfect getaway. Being right on the pristine water was incredible. Michael is a great host; he made us feel right at home. The house is huge with lots of room to spread out. Nice location close to Saratoga & Cooperstown.

A fabulous vacation Lake Home, well-maintained with thoughtful comforts of home throughout to make it cozy and just like home. Ample lighting and an open concept floor plan provided breathtaking views of the lake from multiple rooms. Amazing Family Vacation

Location with beautiful views and comforts of home. Michael met us at the house for check in and explained everything we need to know as well as checking on us a few time during our stay. We had one issue and Michael was very quick to respond and resolved the issue. Upstairs bedrooms are very spacious. Great dock for fishing. If you like to kayak, you will love this location! Overall we had a wonderful week with family. Thank you

The multiple porches and dock were ideal, and we loved to kayak on the beautiful lake. The communication with the owner was very good.

Water Lovers Dream

It is a great property with beautiful views of the lake. Lots of kayaks are available for guests to use, with easy access to the water from the shore or dock. I'll definitely stay again during my next visit to Galway Lake!

nice escape on beautiful lake

We had a great time.

The new dock with the recline chairs were perfect for watching amazing sunrises. The kitchen was fully stocked with anything you could need. Would definitely come back!!

Wonderful, relaxing vacation!

The house was spacious, clean, comfortable and beautifully maintained. We enjoyed kayaking and building fires, but spent most of the time on the deck and in the "sun room” – the waterfront location and view were beautiful. Overall the stay felt like visiting a friend’s house, rather than renting one.

Beautiful Lake / Relaxing Vacation

The property is exactly as described, but Galway lake is even more beautiful than the pictures. The house is extremely well-equipped and the bedrooms are very comfortable. Views from the sitting room and deck are fantastic. The lake is picturesque, quiet and (at least for us) not at all crowded. We would definitely stay there again and recommend the property.

Gorgeous views

Gorgeous and serene location. Loved waking up to the lake, drinking coffee looking at the lake, sitting on the dock with a glass of wine in the evening, and kayaking. It was also close enough to Saratoga Springs that we were able to pop over for dinner and for the races. The kitchen is well appointed and having the washer/dryer was an added bonus. Lots of room in this house. Perfect for a relaxing vacation.

Lovely

Enjoyed this place so much last year that we book it again. The house is so spacious and clean. Outdoor patio and dock were wonderful. Didn't need a thing while relaxing the whole week! Host is readily available for any questions.

Magical mornings

This was our second time at this property and we enjoyed it just as much this time. Michael is a wonderful hands on if needed owner. The dishwasher had a water line that broke during our stay and he had a new one installed the next day, how often does that happen?It’s situated on Galway Lake with its own dock. One bedroom overlooks the lake and waking up in that room is pure magic! We enjoyed meals either on the inside porch area or outdoors on the lower deck all with fabulous lake views. We spent hours kayaking, in the water or sitting on the dock. We did have some dinners out but cooked in the spacious, fully equipped kitchen several times. All in all we had another wonderfulvacation in this Galway Lake rental!Thank you, Michael

We stayed on the property for 4 nights. Wish the weather would have cooperated more but not the properties problem. We cooked breakfast every morning. Everything you needs to make breakfast was available. Will definitely stay at the property in the future.

Fourth of July on the Lake

The house was wonderful. Large enough to host a group of 7 friends comfortably. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need. The lake is beautiful - we sat on the dock surrounded by fish and a family of ducks and watched a bald eagle circling the lake from the kayaks. Would absolutely recommend to anyone traveling as a group or a family.

Living the Lake Life!

What a wonderful getaway. Michael's home is warm, cozy and each room has a wonderful view of Galway Lake. We loved early morning kayaking and just floating in the lake. Hanging on the porches, bbqing and just relaxing! The kitchen is filled with everything you need to cook a great meal and you are close to a lot of great restaurants if you have a hankering to leave the property! Michael is easily reachable and made the stay perfect! Look forward to a longer stay next summer!

Exactly as Advertised

The Lake House is exactly as shown in the pictures. The interior spaces are all extremely comfortable. We spent most of our mornings in the sunroom, which is wonderful. After dinner drinks on the deck overlooking the lake were perfect. I definitely recommend this property and Michael and his property manager Veronica. Both are top flight.

Great fishing!

Nice and quiet, beautiful view of the lake, loved the sunroom and deck to sit and look out over the lake. Nice dock with chairs for fishing. Used kayaks almost everyday. Caught lots of fish from dock and from kayaks out on the lake. House was well equipped. Michael was very responsive when we had questions. We would go back.

Great Labor Day weekend at the lake

We had a great weekend at the lake house. In spite of a few housekeeping issues to start, the house manager addressed them and both her and the owner were very responsive and helpful. The kitchen is well suited for cooking dinners and the house with the view of the lake leaves you no choice but to relax and slow down. Teens Kayaked while adults relaxed at the waterfront, nightly fires , s’mores and nice neighbors. We will definitely try and come back!

Beautiful lake house

My friends and I had a wonderful time cooking for each other, building fires, and using the lake. It was a relaxing space to be in, and you can tell the owners put a lot of care into setting it up. We had a lot of people (6 at a time) working from the house, and the wifi was not great at times. Would work well if there were less demand on it.

Beautiful setting

We loved the outdoors. The lake is beautiful and we swam and used the boat and kayaks. The house was very well decorated and had a terrific family room. The only issue with the house was that there was a one step up to enter eachbedroom in the second floor. So if you are older or don’t see well, it would be easy to fall. Our host, Michael, was very nice and treated us to a couple if pay per view movies. I would stay here again.
