Whether you're looking for a romantic getaway or are friends traveling together looking for a safe and fun adventure, the layout of this house having bedrooms at either end of the large open living / kitchen area is perfect! The furniture, beds & linens all selected with comfort in mind, and the ocean and jungle views are simply stunning from every room in the house! Located a mile to the beach to the front, and to the back several acres of hiking with rewarding views of the Pacific Ocean – where you’ll see plenty of monkeys! The ocean breezes are perfect for that siesta in the hammock or just lounging by the pool. Having easy access to the beach, shopping, groceries, zip line tours, fishing - the list is long for activities, all within 20 minutes of Casa Verde. We urge to you read our reviews where the guests outline their favorite activities - this is truly a unique location in that it’s so easily accessible, but you feel like you’re in your own private resort. The owners are a couple houses away so should you need anything at all, there is always someone to help with directions or questions & help with booking all your tours.

A little piece of paradise

Amazing Trip

We stayed in Kelie's Casa Verde for a few days on a couples' trip to Costa Rica. This was a fantastic spot. The home was clean and well-equipped with everything we needed --- from a blender for fresh fruit smoothies to rain ponchos to borrow for a hike through the jungle. We loved the patio with the pool and outdoor grill. The view is spectacular and pictures do not do it justice. Kelie is an excellent host and was quick and responsive to our questions. She also helped us set up a guided tour through the national park in Manuel Antonio. She is well-versed in the area and all of the restaurants she recommended were A. We had a wonderful time and can't wait for our next opportunity to visit!

Relaxation with view

We had an incredible stay at this mountain retreat with a stunning ocean view! The house was impeccably clean, extremely comfortable, and perfectly located in a central spot to our activities and restaurants. It had all the amenities our family needed, making it feel like a home away from home.Kelie was exceptionally knowledgeable and provided us with a plethora of fantastic ideas for activities. IT DOESNT GET BETTER THAN THIS!

I can truly say, this was our very best vacation! The house & property was amazing, having everything we needed. A big part of the reason was Kelie. She goes above & beyond for her guests, something we have not experienced in our many VRBO stays. The house is comfortable (beds included) with a lot of space for families. The patio views are amazing with such a variety of birds to see. We didn't use the pool because our days were full of hiking (so much to discover), white water rafting( a must!) and a visit to Tortuga Isle via Catamaran (snorkeling, banana boat & hiking), Manuel Antonio National Park & the local beaches. Take advantage of Kelie's suggestions for restaurants & places to visit during your stay & you CANNOT go wrong. Simply the best!

Awesome secluded property

Property is better than the pics - spacious and clean and beautiful!

We were 5 ladies on a girls trip and enjoyed every minute of our private party at this house. The beach is easily accessible by car and the backyard bar was the greatest hangout. The locals made us feel so safe and at home. We will definitely be returning to Casa Verde and Playa Hermosa - it was a little slice of heaven!

An Amazing Stay!

Our family stayed here for a week and it was wonderful! The pool is great and warm at night, the house was very clean and roomy, and the location is great. Lots of day trips around the area as well as pristine beaches both at the bottom of the hill (2 minute drive) and in either direction on the highway. We loved all the restaurants close by. Lots of bird watching from the pool, saw a few toucans. Kelie was an amazing host and very helpful, providing great tips for the area. Highly recommend staying here!

Beautiful adventure!

Location worked well for us, just on outskirts of town. Enjoyed morning coffee outside and watching the birds - the views were magnificent! Our daily adventures included the monkey mangrove tour, Manuel Antonio National Park, boogie boarding, surfing, the scenic drive Kelie recommended, walking the miles of beaches (Hermosa and Esterillos were our favorites), and more! We are already making plans to return. Thank you both Kelie and Jenn for an unforgettable week!

The best VRBO I have ever stayed at

We travel a lot and this was the best experience I have ever had. The property owner is on the property but not so close that you don't have privacy. She went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. She helped with the car service, rental car recommendation, discounts on excursion and the inside scoop on the best places to go. The private pool on the property was an amazing place to hang out in the heat of the day and just relax. Fresh eggs, fruit and coffee were waiting for us after a long journey. I can't recommend this place enough!

The house is convenient to beaches and towns while shouldering forest land. The home is lovely and the hosts are kind and generous. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished it could have been a bit longer... For those who are interested in wildlife: While at the house and hiking in the neighborhood we enjoyed watching toucans, monkeys, scarlet macaws, poison dart frogs and a variety of other wildlife. Great quiet view of Playa Hermosa

WOW! The pictures only do it half the justice that it actually is. Great location to explore the area. Quiet and safe. The owner lives in the house adjacent to it and is a wealth of knowledge to help you make your own discoveries. The property works perfect for 2 couples with bedrooms and on suite bathrooms on opposite ends of the house. Fully stocked kitchen so that you can cook in if you choose. FANTASTIC!

Had a wonderful vacation!!

The house is located on top of a hill at playa Hermosa. The view is amazing... every morning when I stepped outside it was just so breathtaking for me. Breakfast in front of the pool and ocean view couldn’t be better. Kelly and Chuck are nice and friendly hosts and we didn‘t miss anything during our stay. The house was very big for us two but we appreciated the two bed and badrooms. If I ever come back to Costa Rica I will definitely book Casa Verde or the smaller la Casita again :)!

Casa Verde is beautiful, clean and fully equipped for the perfect vacation...from fresh eggs to surfboards! Pool was sparkling clean, and the view of the ocean from the hammock on the covered patio is like a post card. We saw and heard magnificent scarlet macaws and green parrots. Kelie was welcoming, gracious, and available if needed. You will not be disappointed once you discover Casa Verde! ❤ We will return on our next visit.

Wonderful vacation!

This rental property is BEAUTIFUL! It was the perfect size for my husband and me, plus our 2 kids (ages 17 and 20). The house and pool were spotless, the gated community felt very safe, and the views were AMAZING!! The owner, Kelie, was invaluable with her tips on rental cars, food, tours, and even taxi drivers! Having her right down the street was a definite bonus! (Thanks Kelie ...for answering ALL my questions EVERY day!!) This was our first trip to Costa Rica but hope it won’t be our last! And when we return, we know where we want to stay ... Casa Verde!

Beautiful Veiws from top of the mountains..

I highly recommend this place, It sits high in the hills near Hermosa beach, Easy to get to and very safe. The owners are super nice people. The 2 bedroom house is new and very roomy, Kitchen has everything, Just bring your food to cook or grill. The beds are very comfortable with bathrooms in both rooms. Huge hot water showers. The living room is also very comfortable if you wish to be indoors, The pool overlooks the Pacific ocean and the beautiful mountains. Just a 10 minute drive to Jaco, Many great Restaurants, Bars and beaches nearby. Very Reasonable. I will Definitely stay there when visiting Beautiful Costa Rica.. Thank you Dan Sprester

Perfect!

This was our first visit to Costa Rica and we had such a wonderful time in Casa Verde. The house was very well equipped, having everything we needed and more! Kelie was delightful and was so helpful arranging our trips and giving advice about where to go and what to do. She really was invaluable and it did make everything so much easier. Nothing was too much trouble and she really cared about all her guests. Casa Verde had wonderful views and we enjoyed walking in the rainforest behind the house. The local restaurants were very good particularly Vida Hermosa which was our favourite. All the beaches were stunning and we enjoyed watching the surfers. We would definitely recommend staying with Kelie at Casa Verde.

Hermosa Heaven

Casa Verde is the most amazing vacation home we have ever stayed in. Kelie is a wonderful host who stayed in touch with us from the moment we made our reservation. She had fresh eggs and fruit waiting on us when we arrived. The views from the pool of the ocean and surrounding valleys are fantastic. We really hated to leave the home to go to other activities. Kelie has an impressive list of activities and restaurants to visit which makes it easy to plan your days. My wife and I were staying with our two grown sons and we had a car rental which really made for some great exploring of places Kelie had suggested. Wish we could have stayed longer. If we get back to Costa Rica, we know where we are staying - Casa Verde. Thanks Kelie!

Incredible vacation, wonderful place and superb hospitality

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Verde. Kelie is a special host and a wonderful resource. All of her recommendations were spot on, from the airport pickup, car rental, tours, fishing and restaurants. It was our first trip to Costa Rica and we didn’t know quite what to expect, but everyone we met was very nice and welcoming, which made for a memorable vacation. We second Kelie’s recommendations for Los Suenos. The zip line and buggy tour were loads of fun and the staff very professional. We also enjoyed Jose’s crocodile tour, fishing with Chiri, and a meal with Bruno, the private chef! We really enjoyed our dinner at Los Almendros, a friend of Kelie’s restaurant. Yummy! If you are planning a trip to Costa Rica, we can’t recommend Casa Verde highly enough! Kelie’s wonderful dogs, Claudia (the princess) and Rudy (adorable rescue puppy) helped us feel at home!

AMAZING!

We had the best experience yet using a Vrbo staying at this property! Pictures and descriptions can't do a place like this justice. The views are stunning! We felt so at home and relaxed during our stay and honestly looked forward to getting back in after our days of venturing out to relax in the warm pool and take in the sites and sounds of nature. It made our vacation even better staying here. The house was immaculate in cleanliness. Every accommodation you can think of is here. The fruit provided was so fresh and ripe too that was provided! Kelie is always available with suggestions for activities, advice and even lent me her camera as I forgot the battery to mine. I moved to Costa Rica from Charleston, South Carolina in 2002 and have loved it ever since. Our favorite activity is hiking the mountains behind us with a rescue dog named Rudy and an black Labrador named Mackie. I love to cook, and grow most of my herbs and spices. We have several fruit trees and last year started growing coffee & chocolate, so we're hoping one day to offer coffee from our own crop! I have a lot of dinner parties; there's nothing better than good conversation, good food and good wine!
I used to travel quite a bit, and mostly stayed at Marriott & Hyatt, so I wanted to offer vacation rentals with the same comfort, but with a familiar feeling of home, and some privacy you don't find in a hotel. I bought my vacation home in Maggie Valley NC in 2021 and have 2 vacation rentals in Costa Rica on my 7 acres

Why they chose this property

Unbelievable views - from the ocean, the valley & the mountains. We're on a peninsula, so very private and you see the wildlife everywhere. I feel we have the best of everything; the ocean, the mountains and the valley. When the clouds roll into the valley, it's just breathtaking. And when we have the electrical rain storms that light up the ocean - it's a light show that can be mesmerizing.

Close to everything but very private and quiet. It's nice to go out and see what's happening at the beach and in Jaco, but it's nice to get away from the crowds, cook a nice dinner and enjoy some wine on the terrace.
