Very convenient to Seward while still in a rural setting. House was very clean and well appointed. Host responds quickly to questions. Very enjoyable week long stay.
The host was very pleasant and the property was quiet and peaceful. The bathrooms were recently redone and are very nice. The beds are comfortable with nice linens. Our only complaint was the stairs to the second floor. They are very steep and very slippery. Not a good fit for older people with mobility issues or small children.

Thank ad for that feedback, Debra! I saw what you meant and I installed a clear textured surface to the stairs.
Glad you found the house comfortable & enjoyed your stay!
We loved our stay at Eagle's Nest. My wife and I and our two adult kids had plenty of room. The house had everything we needed and was in a great, secluded location. Mere steps to the Salmon River for eagle viewing. Thank you for everything!
Worked well for 5 women. We were there for one night before our boat tour the next day. Two of us went upstairs to share a bed and bath, Three stayed downstairs to share a bed, two bunks and bath, Easy to get to town. 5 minutes at most! Saw moose cow & calf on road to house. Eagle was at the creek (short walk across yard) when we first arrived and was looking around. Then had bears come between the car and the cabin about 10:00 at night! We watched them through the entry door! It was a happening spot for wildlife! There was coffee beans, grinder, creamer, sugar and honey that we did not expect so we brought our own. Full kitchen stocked well,
THIS is where we made memories. The home is exactly as represented; a cozy cabin in an idyllic setting. We came to see the wildlife and we were not disappointed. The cabin has a retro vibe with modern amenities. A step in time to a writer's cabin where looking out each window opened up the possibilities of what each day could bring: moose, eagles and immersion in local culture. It's close enough to town for a quick meal or ice cream outing yet far enough away to immerse yourself in the beauty of the nature and wilderness that makes Alaska unique. We read the home manual, and we were hooked- lots of local info and even dining suggestions. Everyone in town was exceptionally nice as well! This place truly lived up to our expectations. Thank you, Karl!
The property was beautiful and the house was nicely kept. We had very good and efficient communication with the owner. It was in a great location, easy to get to hikes and to the town. Overall it was a very easy process and relaxed stay.
This cabin has a great location and Karl was very thoughtful about providing detailed information and everything we needed for an inviting stay. He also had great local insights and recommendations for our time over July 4. The home was very clean, had plenty of space for our family group of 6, and was a quick drive to the grocery store and Seward. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting the area.
