About this property
Private Historic Studio from the year 1900!
This historic property was built in 1900! It`s got all the charm of a building from that era with the brick exterior, high 10 ft ceilings, and large windows throughout. Very conveniently located in Midtown and a super short Uber ride (5 min) to downtown, you`ll have everything you need within a few minutes away. You have your own entry, parking, laundry and all the essentials you`ll need to explore the best of Memphis. We`ll send you a digital guidebook with our favorite recommendations :)
The numerous windows keep my place open and bright with a well laid out floor plan. The brand new bathroom is on one end of the studio apartment, kitchen and living area in the middle, and the bedroom on the opposite end from the bathroom.
I`ve tried to set it up so you have several different sitting areas; a couple in the living area with either a comfy sofa or a relaxing chair facing the smart TV equipped. A small kitchen table with a couple bar chairs is also a good place eat a meal you brought in from one of the many nearby restaurants or a meal you prepared yourself in the equipped kitchen with all the essentials (salt, pepper, olive oil)
In the bedroom, you have a window AC unit that also does heat to keep the temperature right where you want it and get some reading done next to the large windows.
On the other end is an antique desk in the corner for when you need to buckle down and handle your business. This is just one apartment in a building of 6 but you have your own private entrance and private laundry in the apartment.
This is a pet-friendly property! We’re glad if you were able to bring your pet along, but please note we have a few additional rules:
● Please note that a $65 Pet fee will be applied per stay.
● We are unable to host cats and breeds of dogs deemed aggressive, per our insurance policy
● No more than ONE (1) animal, no larger than 20 pounds
● Pets are not allowed on furniture & please clean up after your pets
● Do not leave your pet home alone unless crated (doggy doo-doo bags are provided)
The property is in the rear of the building where you have a designated parking place
please note **the driveway accessed from the front is very narrow and a truck WILL NOT fit but there is rear access via alleyway**
Options for parking:
1. A smaller vehicle will fit down the driveway and to your designated spot out back labeled #5
2. There is free street parking without restrictions in front of the building
3. You can also access the rear parking from an alleyway that leads to S Cleveland St and is wider allowing for a truck (the alley is not always maintained though)
You will have full access in the apartment; there are no locked doors or cabinets.
You`ll receive a digital code one day before your arrival for the rear door which means that 24 hour check-in is no problem at all! Any questions and we can be reached 24 hours a day by sending us a quick message.
I will send you a text with a link to my guidebook I`m working on before your arrival but you will also have additional information inside the apartment with contacts, transportation and other general info
Walk out the front door and you`ll find yourself in front of a delicious Thai restaurant in a converted historic home, next door to a spa, or a short Uber (5 min) brings you to bustling Overton square, one of Memphis` most happening areas with a host of other restaurants and bars.
Head downtown the other direction in a short 5 min Uber ($6) and you`ll find yourself engulfed in Memphis` blues scene on the famous Beale street.
In addition to the many great eateries (which you`ll find in the guidebook i`ll send you) there are several parks nearby and places to relax.
Uber or Lyft are readily available and definitely the best option.
There is a trolley that runs down Madison and will bring you to downtown if you want a little more of a historic experience heading downtown.
**the driveway accessed from the front is very narrow and a truck WILL NOT fit but there is rear access via alleyway** Options for parking:
1. A smaller vehicle will fit down the driveway and to your designated behind the building labeled #5
2. There is free street parking without restrictions in front of the building

This is a historic property so sound can travel a bit easier than a new building. Please be mindful of your noise level (especially after 10pm) as to not disturb the long term residents next door.
