The Flats in Downtown Melbourne is a unique triplex located in the heart Downtown Melbourne, just steps from shopping and dining! The Island Escape unit is located on the first floor, very clean, non-smoking, and creatively decorated with island decor to be your relaxing home away from home! The Island Escape comfortably accommodates two guests. It has been completely renovated, but still maintains its original historic character throughout including the original patina pine hardwood flooring and unique trim details!
Enjoy the breath taking views of dolphins playing in the Indian River Lagoon along your short ride to Melbourne Beaches! Walking distance to Manatee Park where local manatees are often seen playing in the warm waters of Crane Creek. Watch trains rolling through historic downtown!
Many famous attractions are an hour or less from The Flats in Downtown Melbourne. Disney, Universal Studios, Wet N Wild, Kennedy Space Center, Ron Jon’s Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach and Port Canaveral just to mention a few. There are also many fun things to do in Melbourne such as canoeing in Turkey Creek, jet skiing in the Indian River Lagoon, and paddle boarding and surfing in Melbourne Beach! Also, enjoy Sea Turtle season, May- October, we are the largest sea turtle nesting area in the USA. The Suite offers a plush full size bed. In the full bathroom you will enjoy the modern touches and walk in shower.
Spend your mornings by the fireplace in living room or strolling through Downtown Melbourne! You can also watch Roku where you will find your favorite movies or local stations on in the living area on the flat screen television. WiFi is available.

The only a few minor negative comments.The bed was way to firm for us, we went to Walmart and bought a memory foam topper for the next night. the other would be how dim the lighting was. If I was the owner I would put lights over the sink and stove for people that actually cook, and change all the bulbs out to bright LEDs and add dimmers so if the resident wanted to lower the lights to set the mood the could. Oh and key the side door the same as the front and have two keys. Otherwise it was a great stay and I will stay there again when I come visit my son later this winter. The decor was so well thought out and fun and truly felt like an island getaway. FYI...The description says it has a full bed but I think it's actually a queen because the full pad we bought was to small.

Location is great; enjoyed downtown Melbourne. Our daughter works downtown so we had opportunity to see her often. When we had issues with the rental, we received immediate response to fix the problem. Owner was very good to work with. Hope to visit again soon.

Very caring and responsive owners

Squeaky bed was replaced the same day. Refrigerator never stopped running replaced the next day. Suggested they should have a charcoal barbecue they bought one and four days later Eric installed it.

Location, location, location!!! Charming old house with lots of character! Great host! We wanted for nothing! Stayed 2 months and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I would recommend d to anyone wanting a great Central Florida/Space Coast experience!

Great property.

My stay at the Island Escape was very nice and private. I enjoyed having all the amenities like home. The location is close to everything: beaches, restaurants, night life, grocery stores included. The only downside to the triplex is the inside decor and furniture needs to be updated. The bed was uncomfortable and the futon was worse. I endure two cold nights during my stay and could not get the fireplace lit, but that’s my fault for not utilizing Ashley’s assistance. I’m sure it was a easy fix. Lol-overall it’s a great place and I would definitely recommend this unit to friends and family. Thank you for the rental.
