The Plimmerton Beach House is a place to unwind relax and let go. Sand sun and fun, beautiful sunsets. Walk from the sea up the sandy beach and onto the large deck, past the BBQ shower spa hammocks and kayaks, under the pagola and outdoor furniture, into the lounge or a quick right into the master bedroom/private lounge, straight on past couches open fire and smart TV to the open plan kitchen, left into the bathroom or first right into the bunk-room or a bit further to the double room, open the fridge whatever you want then walk out the road side doors down 5mins to the restaurants shops and cafes or half way down turn right and catch the train 30 minutes to beautiful and buzzing central Wellington. The train track runs behind the house and street the electric commuter trains are quiet but up to 3 to 4 freight trains run at night which are louder. I live in the Beach House when its not rented with my children and it doesn't disturb us at all and I have only 1 in 50 guests even mention the trains, so just letting you know.

So nice to be able to hear the sea while sleeping. The location was excellent and everything about the place was perfect. Looking forward to a return visit.
The location on the beach was perfect, loved watching everyone walking their dogs. The cabin is older but very comfortable, plenty of room for family, good location to restaurants and grocery just up the road. Quiet area, it is right by the railroad tracks and there’s several commuter trains that go by all day but they are pretty quiet and hardly noticeable
We had a great time staying here, best points were being right on the beach and having access to the spa pool and also kayaks. Would absolutely stay here again.
A wonderful place to stay with family of all ages, all the amenities one needed to enjoy a lovely weekend. Host was wonderful and easy to deal with. Would highly recommend
this property was fantastic and easily catered for a family of 8.It met all our needs and more and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing break away from all the hustle and bustle of every day life
Excellent communication and so lovely of owner to let us also bring puppy. Such a great spot and a treat to be able to walk from deck straight onto beach. A real beach house feel with excellent set up.

An absolute pleasure to host. thanks Fiona welcome back anytime. Rob
Plimmerton beach is lovely and this place is right on the beach with a sheltered deck. The spa is great. Comfortable and pleasant place.
The kids had a ball. Thanks.
Awesome spot easy access to wider wellington City.
Awesome beach for small children, and the spa in the rain was unbeatable.
The only fault we found are the dated beds and super squeaky bunks we ended up buying air beds

Glad you enjoyed the spa its a real winner. Sorry about the Bunks your right, got my spanner out and tightened them up. all good now. Thanks for the feedback on the beds good to know your thoughts Rob
Lovely beach front place with shops and everything real close by. Thr beach is great—calm and shallow for safe swimming with kids. The trains run constantly by the house, but they are surprisingly quiet (mostly passenger trains). Will definitely be back!!

About the host
Hosted by Rob Moffat
Hi this is the best place I've every lived in. Half of the time I live here with my kids. I love swimming running kayaking on the beach and warming up in the spa afterwards.
Why they chose this property
Beautiful beach only 25 mins by train from Wellington with its own village shops and restaurants
What makes this property unique
Its unique in the wellington region as it has direct access onto a permanent sandy beach. no matter what the tide is you always have sand and there are no roads to cross its right at your door step. To my knowledge there is no another place on this site like it.
