AMI Starfish is a spacious two-bedroom private pool home located two blocks from the sparkling clear waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

The bright kitchen overlooks a dining room with seating for four and additional stools at the island. The living area is a comfortable spot for the family to gather.

The master bedroom features a California King Bed with balcony and the guest room has a king-sized bed. A sofa sleeper in the living room provides accommodation for extra guests. Each of the bedrooms features crisp linens and plush towels from our professional linen service. Your guests will stay connected with complimentary WIFI and enjoy all of the comforts of home, including a washer and dryer.

The private heated pool highlights the backyard. Relax in a pool lounger and enjoy the island breezes of paradise. An outdoor shower allows you to rinse the sand from your suit before entering the pool. The covered poolside patio area features a TV and bar. Guests will enjoy the giant Connect 4 Game, Cornhole, Ring Toss. The Ping Pong and Foosball tables are inside on the lower level.

AMI Starfish is one half of a duplex. Each side has its own driveway, entrance, grill, and private pool area. If you have a larger group, check out AMI Sand Dollar to book both sides for your group.

AMI Starfish is a dog friendly home! If you have added a pet to your reservation under the number of pets, the fee of $150 per dog plus tax has been added to your reservation total. Please note, there is a 2-dog limit

AMI Starfish is easy walking distance to the free island trolley, which travels the entire length of the 7 miles of the island. Hop on and off at your leisure and explore shopping, dining and the beaches. The perfect location for your next beach vacation!

Wonderful vacation

We had the best week on Anna Maria island staying here. The house was perfect for our family. Just a short walk to the beach where we made wonderful memories. We would definitely stay here again.

Great house and great location. Only thing I would change at this location is a refrigerator in the lanai or in the first floor recreation area. I had to purchase an over priced styrofoam cooler to keep drinks near the pool so I wouldn’t have to continue to go upstairs to get cold drinks. Our family stayed downstairs most of the week and enjoyed the outdoor space.

Location was great and we very much enjoyed our stay. Property is great and enjoyable. Only complaint is there are only bare necessities, we flew in so couldn’t bring simple things with us. There are no spices to cook, not even salt and pepper. A fan would be great and I agree with other comments that a fridge downstairs would make life so much easier even just a mini fridge to keep drinks cold instead of having to run upstairs from the pool. Beach supplies were great and very helpful. Overall we loved the place and would happily return

Absolutely loved it!

This house was perfect for our family (and pups)! Quick access to the beach and an easy bike ride to restaurants. Having a private pool was the best way to end each evening.

Perfect vacation house

Loved the front porch!!! House was clean and comfortable. Close to the beach and restaurants. The wagon for the beach broke and they were out the next day with a new one!!!!

Family Fun!

I've stayed in Anna Maria many times in many houses. This one was ideal for our small family. Easy beach access, a small pool to cool off in the evenings, games for the whole family, and clean home to rest in after a day at the beach.

Quaint Cottage near beach

The cottage was clean and located near beach. It could have been stocked better. We had one small bar soap for 2 bathrooms and kitchen sink until we got to the store.

In each bathroom, you will find two rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom as well as a small bar of soap and a trash bag in each trash can. In the kitchen, you will find a roll of paper towel in the kitchen, a large trash bag, a dishwasher tab for one load, and a small bottle of dish liquid. This was the perfect location for us to enjoy AMI. We were in the middle of everything, couple of minutes walk to beach for the most perfect sunsets every evening, walking distance to delis, pubs and restaurants and private enough that you feel away from it all. The house itself is even better than it looks in the pictures, the games areas and outdoor dining/bar were a lot of fun also. I'm sure we're going to be back! Great house, excellent location only 2 blocks from the beach, quiet street, within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The house itself was clean, comfortable and very well equipped with everything we needed including outdoor beach gear and toys. The private pool was great and a. wonderful way to cool off after a day on the beach. The outside covered patio/entertaining area was awesome as well as the home's lower level game area. Anna Maria Life was a great company to work with, very friendly and responsive. We can't wait to come back to AMI Starfish.

Indulgence

Opulent setting in traditional Floridian decor. A secluded outdoor sitting space off the master with soft lighting. The pool, all your own, at ALL TIMES inviting you to enjoy. Walk to white sands on the Gulf. Enjoy each meal in the sunshine outside or inside. Do not pack too much. You won’t need much to wear and whatever you do wear you can wash in your own washer and dryer.

Given the storm damage to all of AMI, this propeerty appears to have been whipped into shape and we were glad for that. Given that the weather was unusually cool compared to our many years of thanksgiving time stays at AMI we were glad to have a place to rent. However, the kitchen was poorly equipped, pillows and bedding were of poor quality, the range worked but was very old. Needs a receptacle for recycle items and waste basket for bathroom. Having said all that "We will return to AMI next Thanksgiving. Janae & Eric

Open and bright

We've been coming to AMI for decades, but only recently retired and so are able to stay longer than the Annual Spring Break. Since we're down for a month, we like to bring the four legged member of our family, so we need pet friendly accommodations. Whether we were drinking beverages on the front porch, playing games in the game room with the grandkids, or lounging by the heated pool, AMI Starfish fit our needs beautifully. Perhaps what I loved most was waking up to the sunshine streaming through all the windows. We do wish there had been some basic cleaning supplies so we could keep the floors clean under our bare feet. The broom and vacuum didn't quite cut it.

Starfish June 2025

The check in process was easy and convenient. The check out process was also clearly outlined in the binder that the property management (Anna Maria life) leaves. The house location was nice, just a couple blocks from the beach and in the quiet neighborhood of Holmes beach. This house is cute, has a nice open layout, but is lacking a few upgrades for the price that we paid to stay here the week. We have stayed in many houses in Holmes Beach throughout the years. The kitchen appliances are dated, but functional. Both bathrooms could use an upgrade, but especially the guest bathroom. There are sliding doors on the bathtub/shower which is very close to the toilet and makes it difficult to bathe young children. The faucet and knobs on the guest shower also leaked quite a bit so we elected to only use the master shower. The dryer lint filter sticks up and won’t go all the way down into its slot, so it ended up ripping some of our clothes that got caught on the corner and we avoided washing our clothes the rest of the week. There were plenty of towels provided, as well as a small supply of items like dish soap, paper towels, toilet paper to get the vacation started. The pool area was very nice and our family of 4 enjoyed spending a lot of time playing in the pool. The shallow platform on the pool is a perfect spot for a baby to wade and the tv and set up downstairs is a nice area to get out of the sun. The two porches were nice areas to relax on…Overall we had a good stay

Almost Perfect

If there was a rating of 4 1/2, we would have chosen it. The house is the way it is pictured, comfortable, well stocked,etc. The staff is responsive, efficient and eager to please. Why not a "5" rating? Two things relating to the cleanliness of the house. The master bath's shower had several areas of mold around the base of the shower. We actually took a photo of it, but my husband says he may have deleted it. The other, also related to cleanliness, is when on May 9th someone came to change the air conditioning filter, I was there and saw it. We change our filters at home every few months and it never, ever gets the amount of dirt on it the one the service man showed me, suggesting they are not changed frequently enough. That's it. See you next year.

AMI Starfish

AMI Starfish is a wonderful unit, tastefully decorated with all the amenities one could ask for in a vacation home. We really enjoyed relaxing on the decks, by the pool and in the bar area. The location is perfect, being two blocks from the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. Only negative has nothing to do with the unit, but the City is doing a large water line replacement project that is causing pools of stagnet water in front of the home. On Holmes Blvd. there are torn up sidewalks and mounds of construction materials. This has made the experience less enjoyable then on previous visits to Holmes Beach. We would definitely stay again at this unit, when the pipeline work is complete. We appreciate the owners hospitality and their attention to detail to make this a great vacation experience.

Paradise with petty issues

The house is just as advertised. Beautiful house, beautiful pool, comfortable beds. Kids loved it, grill worked perfectly. Only small things were the internet stunk. Some hot afternoons where you want to crash and watch TV wasn't possible. Also I was on call and really needed internet. Also there's a land line that rings 10 times per day. I'd recommend and stay here again. The horrible internet bugged me but just an inconvenience.
