We loved every moment of our stay here. The cottage is beautifully decorated with every amenity you could possibly need. Great location, tons of space out back and great views of the lake. Would highly recommend!
As advertised, this property has everything one needs. Nice view, nice sunsets on the lake, cottage has everything, comfortable beds and great living areas.
Thank you to our hosts!
For a family with teens this worked well. The adults were able to bike at near wineries, the teens were able to enjoy high speed internet. Everyone was happy.
Lovely home and grounds, on a very quiet road overlooking the water. A short 20 minute drive to Picton, shorter drive to Lake on the Mountain. Is as the pictures. Very well equipped. Conducive to enjoying your time/meals at home. Would definitely recommend.
We enjoyed our stay; the owner was communicative and helpful; easy check in and the place was as described except grill is not useable. It was extremely dirty and greasy and would have required a lot of work and a proper cleaning instrument to clean. Do not expect to use the grill but kitchen is clean and well equipped.
We had a lovely week in Cressy. The property is well maintained and the amenities were modern and clean in a lovely log home. We appreciated the modern appliances and tv in the evenings, and savoured the quiet and peaceful outdoor setting during the day, The front porch was a great place to sit and listen to birds as well as read a book. The water was warm enough to swim in and was quite refreshing, we needed to wear water shoes because of the rocks, but that wasn't a problem at all.
We kept our bikes on our car and drove to Picton and Wellington to use the Millennium Trail and also hiked in the McAulay conservation area. We truly enjoyed our break.

Great to hear you have enjoyed the area and the cottage :) Hope to see you back soon, we would love to host you again.
We loved every moment! The house is lovely. It’s nicely furnished, comfortable, cozy and artistic. The property is beautiful and while the gardens weren’t quite ready yet in April we nonetheless could see their potential. The front deck is great, the rear also. The water is right across the road (not busy) and even though the dock was not in yet we nevertheless spent a fair amount of time there viewing the gorgeous sunsets. Some mornings the water was like glass. We’d definitely recommend this property and ourselves hope to return one day. Plus, we saw the ECLIPSE!! Awesome!!!
The photos on the website are those of the previous owner. Not accurate at all. No water access unless you’re able to move a huge tree trunk out, which the owners told us to do. No cooking implements. Coffee maker so old and grimy we bought a new one. Dish towels grey and stained. Broken chairs outside. White carpet in master bedroom stained and disgusting. Watch out! VRBO didn’t help us! You’re on your own. Renters beware

Stay Away from Carol!
Carol and her group were challenging guests from the start. They changed their booking multiple times, creating significant uncertainty about their stay. Their demands were excessive and difficult to manage, including requests to purchase extra restaurant-style wine glasses for a large dinner party, additional fans, and sun tanning chairs. They continued to push the limits of reasonable expectations for our recently renovated family cottage.
Our property is accurately described with transparent and real photos and amenities, consistently receiving 5-star reviews over the past three years. We have a fully stocked kitchen, access to the lake including a new dock, ample outdoor seating options and the carpet she refers to is an intentionally distressed wool carpet from Article, to fit with the cottage decor.
However, Carol and her group seemed dissatisfied from the moment they arrived, despite satisfying their request for early check-in, which they later changed to insist on additional cleaning for a spotless cottage, which we had already ensured.
Upon check-in, their behaviour was rude and disrespectful, with continuous complaints to both us and VRBO, including an unreasonable request for a refund while fulfilling their entire stay.
While outside of our policy, we offered an early check with a full refund for their remaining stay and they insisted their entitlement to stay for the entire period.
Their conduct throughout was arrogant and inconsiderate, leaving the cottage in poor condition, with food and garbage scattered throughout, moving furniture and small appliances and damaging stairs on the side deck.
We strongly advise other hosts to exercise caution before accepting Carol and her group as guests. Their demanding and disrespectful behavior made the hosting experience extremely stressful. We trust our reviews to date will take precedence and that hosts will take heed when it comes to having Carol and her guests stay at their homes.
Excellent property in a very quiet location.
Beds very comfortable but I would like to suggest that there are a few more firmer bed pillows. Host was helpful. All in all we enjoyed our time in This home.
We enjoyed our stay. Nice swimming and campfires just across a very lightly trafficked road. Good proximity to hiking at McAuley conservation area, wineries and Sandbanks. Very clean and well equipped cottage.
The Cressy cottage is an amazing cottage and my family and I had an amazing time staying there. The property is absolutely spotless, well maintained and well stocked; it is exactly how it looks in a profile.
The entire property is well maintained, grass immaculate maintained, with lots of room for kids to run around and for us to enjoy the beauty of it. Taking advantage of provided gas BBQ was a treat and having a working AC during a late summer heatwave a true blessing that many cottages don't have. The Cressy Bay is mear steps away from the house and it was very nice to be able to go in and out of the water as we please. The water was warm, calm; the shore's a bit rocky so make sure you have water shoes.
The overall checking in proceess was smooth and hastle free, which is exactly what you want when you arrive somewhere. The hosts could not have been more friendly, responsive and accommodative.
We definitely will be back.

Thank you very much for your review! We enjoyed having you and your family. Thanks for the great communication and fast responses!
See you back soon:)
My husband and I stayed at this lovely, well-appointed cottage for 11 nights. The cottage was very comfortable, with all the amenities and the location was perfect for a restful vacation . It is a beautiful cabin in a beautiful part of Ontario
We had such a great time at this Cressy property! Faiza is an awesome host and great to communicate with. The property offers such a range of gorgeous views - we loved spending time by the water, chilling under the willow trees (they’re so stunning), gazing out over the back fields. The cottage itself is perfect and has everything you need and all the comforts of a perfect getaway. We stayed for close to a month but we could have easily stayed longer! Thanks for an awesome vacay!
