About this property

Amazing beach and bay views! Has everything you need and easy walk to the beach

Three bedrooms w/ sleeping loft and three full bathrooms and an outdoor shower with hot and cold water.

We have decided to price the house based on 4 guests (even though it can comfortably accommodate 10 guests) We are doing this so that it is less expensive for smaller groups to stay at the house. However, to price it this way, we need to charge for additional guests over 4 ($20 per person per night over 4) Otherwise we have to charge based on the maximum number of guests which didn't seem fair to us for smaller groups. Hope that makes sense.

One of the best features is the huge deck that overlooks the beach and the bay. It offers amazing views of sunrises and sunsets. Another plus is the gas grill located on the deck (so you don't have to go downstairs to cook), plus plenty of seating.

There is great lighting and music on the deck to make it the perfect evening hang out, plus it's high enough up that mosquitoes are rarely an issue.

Another great feature is the kitchen. With a full size refrigerator and full size freezer there is plenty of room to store enough food to cook all of your meals. Plenty of pots and pans even a crockpot, ninja blender and grill plate are provided. The huge island doubles as a dining table and has seating for 8. A great place for everyone to gather around and help cook or just hang out and play games.

We want you to have plenty of things to do, so we provide a washer toss game, corn hole, bocci ball and a shuffleboard table.

There are three full bathrooms plus an outdoor shower with hot and cold water. We have two large hot water heaters and have never heard of anyone running out of hot water. It is so much better to have three bathrooms when you are traveling with a large group and our house makes it easy for everyone to get ready quickly or rinse off after a day at the beach.

The drinking water quality isn't the best in Surfside, so we have upgraded our water filtration designed specifically for the water here. We also have a reverse osmosis system that supplies pure water to a hot and cold drinking dispenser is also auto fills the ice maker and Keurig. We sincerely want you to feel like you are staying at a friends house...not a rental property.

This home is amazing! Very smartly stocked with all you need for getting your sunbathing on and plenty of cooking pots, utensils and outdoor cooking provided. Alexa runs the house which was very fun for me. Great hosts to work with. I will be going back.

Absolutely loved this place and look forward to re booking. The house had everything we needed and more for cooking and going to the beach. Mike was very helpful with any questions we had and very responsive. Beach access is a short walk. Surfside Beach Buggy Rental is across the street, cool hangout spot for a few drinks and gift shop up stairs, the food truck also had great breakfast.

Wonderful time at Tiki House

Wow! We had an amazing stay at Tiki House. Mike has truly thought of and provided everything a guest would need. The house was clean and well stocked with supplies. Mike checked on us throughout our stay, as well. We loved it!

Perfect getaway for the beach.

I dont know where to start, the house was amazing, emaculately clean. The location gives you a nice view of the ocean, both from the deck and the upstairs room. The house is adorned with the coolest decorations which at beach themed. The house has EVERYTHING you need.. and i mean everything.. i will certainly be rebooking this location.. the host was fantastic and accommodating... dont think twice about this spot, just book it and enjoy your beach house!

Fun Family Getaway

We loved this beach house! Very short walk to the beach. The deck with its tiki bar vibe, listening/watching the waves was the best. Plenty of room. The best amenities of any VRBO I’ve stayed at. Great communication with owners. Some really fun things which I won’t ruin the surprise of. We felt very safe. Just a great relaxing place at the beach.

Perfect getaway

The house is exactly as pictured and so very well equipped. The extras, such as beach towels, burn cream, and scissors made our stay seamless. We loved sitting at the island and visiting in the mornings and evenings. Beautiful place, we will be back!

Tiki House is Perfect

Tiki House was super clean and beautifully decorated. The house was well stocked with supplies as well as things for the beach. The Host made us feel very welcome and checked in to make sure everything was going good. Grandparents, kids and grandkids had a great time. Thank you Mike for making it a wonderful get away.

Perfect balance

We loved this property. We’ve been coming to Surfside for 5 years and have stayed on both the public and private side. This is a great location. Walkable, and close enough to see and hear the ocean. It’s on the public side, but far enough from the crowd. House was adorable and well stocked.

Fantastic!!!

I can't say enough good things about this property and our experience staying there. It is SO WELL equipped--all the beach gear you need is there (plus more), every appliance you could imagine, basic spices and seasonings, plus the filtered water system was awesome. It is more like staying in a home than a rental, and the owner was kind, generous, and communicative, treating us more like a guest than a customer. After years of staying in various properties in Surfside, I'll now be disappointed if I have to stay anywhere else!

Fantastic location

Considering the property is not beachfront, it was the next best thing. We had everything we needed. The host was absolutely accommodating in every way. Great communications, friendly, responsive, and gracious. There is a golf cart rental across the street so I recommend if there is a need to make a reservation, they book quickly. Nice, quiet neighborhood, with all the comforts of home away from home.

Best Spot For A Beach Vacation!

We have been coming to Surfside for several years and stayed at several beach houses. This one tops them all. They literally have everything and more. The description is very accurate and Mike sent a message beforehand giving tons of information. The location is great - just a short walk to the beach with a wagon to haul things. They have a golf cart to rent at a great rate that really comes in handy and fun to run down to the ice cream shop. Beds are comfy, water pressure and AC are great. So nice to rent a place for 6 people and they actually have seating for 6 in the living and dining area. The deck is great and so nice to have a gas grill right outside the door. The ice maker and hot and cold filtered water was so nice. Tons of extras like beach towels, chairs, etc. I could keep going but just rent this house, you won't be disappointed. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful view of beach

We had several family members come down fo stay with us while we were in town. It sleeps very comfortable. All the supplies you need was available and the beach was just short walk. I will recommend this places to friends and family. Mike was very nice and communicated with us so that our stay was everything we wanted. I would only recommend a umbrella or shade cover over the deck. Thank you.

Best Beach House Ever!!!!

Let me tell you guys the house is fully equipped. We had everything we needed from an ice maker machine up to a lighter. The house felt cozy and my family and I felt so welcome. Mike is an awesome host. Seriously he's the best. He was very attentive during our stay. He even left a welcome treat for our furbaby. I would recommend this place. 10/10

Loved the Tiki House! This was our first time to Surfside Beach! We booked the house based on previous reviews and everything was as perfect as we imagined! The house is very unique and has been decorated and managed with love! The are so many details in the house and we felt like we were at a friends house instead of a rental home. The walk to the beach is very short! One of our favorite parts of the house is the deck, it sits up high enough over the other houses to where you can see all around you and take in all the amazing views. We enjoyed staying at the house and getting the grill going more than eating out at one of the local restaurants. Mike was very friendly and helpful in letting us know the details before hand and checked to make sure everything was good once we checked in. I highly recommend the Tiki House and am excited to return in the future!

House had everything and then some!

We had 3 families stay at this house. It was just perfect, all the kids had so much fun and the adults enjoyed all of the amenities. We took advantage of the golf cart rental which was across the street from the house, I highly recommend that. The house was a very short walk to the beach which was perfect since we basically lived at the beach during our stay. Mike was very attentive and answered my ongoing questions very quickly. He had everything that we could possibly need from beach equipment to so many towels to extensive kitchen appliances. We would definitely stay at this home again, so many great memories made!

The perfect annual beach getaway

Everything about our stay was easy and pleasant from beginning to end. Mike was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond, even before our vacation began. The house was just as beautiful and well equipped as the listing described. The set-up of the rooms and beds was just right for our two families. We had 4 adults three teenagers, and three children, ages 7-9. Everyone had a comfortable place to sleep. There were extra toiletries available in case we forgot anything at home, as well as some first aid supplies, sunscreen, bug spray, and aloe burn gel. The views were amazing, and the walking distance to the beach was just right. We loved not having to load all the kids and gear into the car to drive, and it was wonderful coming home with a mostly sand-free car. The wagon/cart was just right for loading umbrellas, chairs, cooler, and toys for the short walk. The beach was clean and enjoyable, and the waves just the right size and strength for "wave jumping", as my kids like to call it. There were a good number of small shells for "treasure hunting", lots of digging and sand castle building with the toys available at the house, and fun with flying kites that were also there. Nobody was bored! The kitchen was a great size for multi-person meal prep, and there were plenty of dishes for all of us to use. The spice cabinet was well stocked. We enjoyed using the propane grill for a couple of meals, and the breeze on the deck for evening meals was so nice.

Amazing location and very comfortable beach house

We had a great time at this beach house. There were 3 families with kids and we all had a good time. Beach is walking distance and we used the beach cart to get the various items to the beach. The beach towels and they are plenty, beach toys, beach chairs were all super helpful. The portable speaker was amazing to play music on the beach The house itself was comfortable. We also spent a good time on the deck with barbeque and some family fun All in all a great rental for families

Amazing!!!!

We absolutely loved the house. Everything was labeled and Alexa was set up to control everything so we weren't searching for light switches. The place was so pretty, well stocked on bedding and towels. We loved everything about it and hope to make it a yearly trip❤️

House was purchased in 2008...then my neighbor burned my house down (he burned his too). Rebuilt it in 2013 and made it just the way we wanted it. We didn't rent it out for the first 8 years we had it but decided it was so much fun that we wanted to share it with others.

Why they chose this property

We decided to make this a "smart house". We have smart locks, AC, speakers and lights. All of which can be controlled by "Alexa" or by the provided tablet. You can have music inside as well as out on the deck...you can have different music in each area or combine them to have the same in both. Most of the lights are also controlled by Alexa...just tell her to turn the lights on or which specific light you want on or off...do you need all of that to have fun at a beach house? Probably not....but it is a lot more fun with it! Plus she can tell you the weather for the day, cooking recipes or where to go eat. We also included a full size refrigerator and full size freezer...plenty of space to store food and drinks. We use the house so we make sure it has everything you need to enjoy the beach. From beach games to a crock pot and ninja blender. We also provide beach chairs, beach umbrella and an outdoor speaker you can take to the beach. It really cuts down on the things you need to bring.
