Place is great. Beautiful backyard lovely by waterfront water was great to swim in for kids slow sloping into a deeper area. Cottage was cozy. Host was informative.
The cottage was absolutely beautiful with a great view overlooking the river. Chris and Alina did a great job making us feel welcomed and providing a clean and comfortable cottage to stay.
With a nice walkout to the water it made it easy for me to take my dogs for a swim. We hope we get to come back soon!
Great spot. Great host. Everything is as shown. We had a full cottage and still lots of room to prep meals. The dock is beautiful with 4 of us on it with Muskoka chairs (Grandkids in the water)River is walk-in access, no rocks in the way. Water is super clean and clear. Alina has everything in the kitchen you could possibly need. Beds are all very comfortable. What a charmer cottage. We will be back, on the regular!
My family of 6 stayed July 2022 and we absolutely loved this cottage. Alina our host was wonderful and very helpful. The cottage is a modern A-Frame with a large open concept kitchen. Very nice upper deck and large new dock. Being on the river is nice and there is great fishing off if the dock! Overall great week. Thank you.
Beautiful cottage. Has AC and also heating for cold nights. Wood stove worked well for extra heat.
We were counting on using the BBQ a couple of nights but the burner tubes were so rusty they were falling apart. A new BBQ is required.
During the tornado watch when the cottage lost power the owner kept us informed by text of the Hydro One alerts when power would be restored which was great.
Overall good.
Water entrance safe for kids.
Bbq needs cleaning.
Dog hair prevalent.
Some people reacted to dog hair with slight allergies.
Some amenities lacking.

Hi Michael, thank you for the feedback!
We do our best to keep the cottage dog friendly, and keep it as free of dog hair as possible. Will discuss enhancing hair removal practice with our cleaners.
We have previously received reviews that the cottage is very well equipped so am surprised to hear that you thought amenities are lacking. Can you please clarify which amenities were lacking so we can improve!
Thank you,
Alina
Beautiful cottage as depicted in photos. Our family had a wonderful time! Air conditioning kept the cottage quite cool on hot days. We did bring an extra large fan for upstairs as it does get quite warm up there. The shower was amazing - great temperature and pressure! Beds and bedding were also so comfortable! Stairs were steep and open concept which is to be expected with this style of cottage, but something to be mindful of for those young and old. Outside photos are dated as they have a lovely larger dock now. The kids could also wade into the lake, although did have some hesitation due to some rocks and seaweed. Good for young kids though as it is too shallow to jump off the dock. Host was incredibly kind and responsive. Best cottage to date the we have rented!
Beautiful property on Gull River. Great kitchen/family gathering spot. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you need. Four sleeping areas: 2 enclosed bedrooms (Queen beds) lower level, 1 upper loft space (king) and pullout in mud room (king) open to basement area with a walkout.Large dock and small beach area with easy access to the water. Full sunshine all day. Water toys included a paddle board and some inflatables. River was great for paddle boarding. Bit of a wild drive in but just take it slow. Host was extremely responsive with the few issues we had ( stove broke down and water toys were not available )We were a family of 7 plus 3 dogs so it can be a little tight if you’re stuck inside. Biggest con was the very steep stairs inside the cottage. If you have dogs or little ones a baby gate is a must. All in all a very beautiful cottage.
Beautiful property. The pictures are current and accurately reflect the cottage. Alina was very responsive and even left a welcome card with a bottle of wine.
Would highly recommend.
We had a great time - cottage and property are lovely! Has everything you need for a great vacation. Only tricky thing was the stairs with 2 little babies. Very steep for lots of up and down but otherwise everything was perfect
We loved this newly renovated cottage. The River water was clean, shallow at the entrance then gets deeper as you swim further in. The cottage was equipped with all new appliances and kitchen needs. There’s a paddle boat for use, but wish there was at least a canoe or or kayak to explore the river/lake more. There are no blinds, so if you like to sleep with blackout blinds, it may be too bright for you in the mornings. Host was super responsive and gave clear directions.
Had a great stay at Alina’s cottage rental. Very easy to find, easy check in, and nice cottage exactly as described. The beach had nice soft sand which was an added bonus. Very clean cottage, and very spacious. Would definitely stay again.
Beautiful cottage with everything you need. Host provided lots of amenities and was easy to communicate with. Enjoyed the new dock and swimming. Would stay again!
Lovely A-frame cottage modernized with all the comforts of home. Gracious host who reached out to check that we needed anything and left a note and a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. Took one star off as the steps to the ground floor are steep with no railing. Could be a safety hazard for small children and seniors. Overall a great place to relax and watch the boats on the river!
Our stay at this cottage was great. We arrived to a welcome note from the owners and a bottle of wine. Nice touch! It's comfortable, cozy and very well stocked. The location superb. It rained the day we arrived so the outdoor furniture cushions were soaking wet but that was the only negative. The beds are comfortable, wifi worked great and the kitchen had everything you would need. There is a new dock to lounge on and enjoy watching the boat traffic. We would definitely return to this location.
