About this property

House with Stunning Ocean View

This home is a welcoming retreat for artists and anyone who values quiet and seclusion. It is decorated in an eclectic mix of antique items (including a cannister set from the 1880's once belonging to my great-grandparents in the Netherlands) to original works of modern art. The open concept mini home was renovated in 2021/22 to provide everything you could hope for in a holiday home: A/C, updated kitchen, sliding doors to a huge screen room, woodstove and ensuite bathroom. Please note - the house is on a steep hill so if you are towing a heavy caravan, or your vehicle needs a brake job - this may not be the rental for you.

Hi Lorelle - thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I do acknowledge that the hill is indeed quite steep. In my 'About the Property', I have this description: "Please note - the house is on a steep hill so if you are towing a heavy caravan, or your vehicle needs a brake job - this may not be the rental for you." Lorelle - if you have a suggestion for a description that would have helped you be more aware, I am very open to suggestions! :) Best regards, Renny

Beautiful, relaxing home in a quiet wooded setting with beautiful views of the water. Home was clean, cozy & welcoming. Even though it's off the beaten path a bit there's an Irving Gas Station, restaurant & liquor store 15 minutes away. 20 to 25 minutes there's a Walmart, Grocery Store & many restaurants on Port Hawkesbury across the causeway. This house was a great location for exploring all of Cape Breton & Nova Scotia mainland.

Great place to get away!

We came here for a quiet weekend and this rental was exactly what we were looking for. It was far enough from the road that we could take the kids outside for a walk and even got to see some local wildlife!
