Great stay in Vail- ver convenient for town- close to bus stop and beautiful, quite location. Owners were fabulous to work with and our stay was so relaxed.
This was the perfect place for us. Casual, comfortable lodge/cabin type accommodations.
Exactly what we needed for this week in Vail. Great open space on main floor and the front patio. Bed access for 2 people a little tight but wasn’t a problem. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Owner was very responsive and made the stay logistics much easier. When we had an issue, the owner came over and fixed it promptly and checked in throughout the stay.

Thank you and we look forward to having you again next year!!!!
Wonderful stay. 5 college classmates (age 65+) spent a week skiing Vail, Beaver Creek and Copper Mountain. Each bedroom afforded good privacy. The cabin is a 3 minutes walk from the free bus service Meadowbrook stop. Hot tub on the deck was great - clean and well-maintained. Kitchen had all necessary utensils and a stock of spices, cooking oil and some dry goods left from other tenants. Beds were comfortable. Heat worked well. Owner was responsive to inquiries and minor fix-its (like rebooting the wi-fi from 3 to 30 Mbps). Driveway may fit 4 cars in the summer but realistically only fits 2 with the winter's snowpack - one (a mini-van) in the garage and one (standard SUV) parked off to the side. Would definitely stay here again.

Peter, thank you for staying with us!! Please come again with your group, we will try to have as much snow as we had this year for you!
This was our first trip to vail though we have skied most of the Denver resorts in the past. Included are some tips we learned on this adventure. Vail is HUGE! Both the resort itself and town are large compared to other resorts.
Our experience with Lakespur Lodge was excellent. It’s a lovely home and perfect for a family ski trip
The home is a short walk from the bus stop, and easy enough in ski boots. The rental shops in town will store skis and poles overnight.
The free shuttle system in Vail is THE way to get around. Easy and on time. Parking in the resort is not all that close to the lifts.
DETAILS:
The lodge is 2 stories; there are separate thermostats for each level. The stairs are a spiral staircase; important if you have small children or elderly. There are outside entrances for both levels.
Beds and pillows are very comfortable; probably the best of all of our VRBO experiences. Plenty of TVs and good high speed internet. Kithchen well equipped with pots and pans, dishes, and a few spices as well. Lots of little touches; games for the children, snowball maker, etc.
Wonderful private hot tub on the veranda; outside grill.
Andy and Meg are readily accessible and responded quickly when my wife locked herself out!
Overall, an excellent experience; enjoyed immensely. Accolades to Andy and Meg!
We had a great time in the Larkspur Lodge. Perfect for a large family. Great location near bus stop, hot tub and well equipped kitchen. Very friendly and helpful hosts who quickly sorted out any questions.
This is a very quaint, cozy cabin in Vail. It's in a great location right by a playground, a stop for the bus system, and right off the highway. We loved the hot tub and the beds were quite comfortable (probably my best night sleep in a VRBO). For the price, I was expecting a little more. It just seems run down i.e. bulbs were out in the lamps, the soap dispenser didn't work in one of the bathrooms, the knives are all extremely dull, the electric outlets are all full so if you want to plug in a computer, you'll have to unplug something else. It definitely seems like a rental property. They are clearly just little things, but something to note.
The home was well located and cozy. Although the kitchen was on the smaller side, it was well stocked with equipment and had everything we needed. Thank you for letting us stay here!
Our whole family had a marvelous week here in August. The owners live next door and did all they could to make our stay great! We would definitely rent this rustic house again.
Firstly, the cabin is just perfect - it's a shame more of these properties don't still exist in East and West Vail. We had a group of six - from teens to young and middle age adults. The "kids" took the downstairs and we took the upstairs bedroom - perfect set up for us. The large front deck is just wonderful, as is the back deck with the hot tub. Kitchen very well equipped. And the owners, Andy and Meg, are local and super responsive! And you cannot discount being right at the bus stop - all in all fabulous - we will ABSOLUTELY stay at Larkspur Lodge again!
We chose the Larkspur Lodge for our annual ski trip. As we continue to age, we learn to appreciate having adequate space for both lounging and storing our gear. The Larkspur Lodge worked out perfectly as we were able to keep all of our gear in the clean garage and there was adequate sleeping space for eight adults. Spending the extra money vs staying in a condo was worth every penny...PRIVATE (CLEAN) HOT TUB!
Our only complaints were that we had to buy our own detergents for the washer and dishwasher. Also, the mini fridge in the basement had an atrocious smell from previous renters, which could clear out the entire room if you opened it. This essentially rendered the fridge useless for our stay, but luckily we had a couple coolers with that could keep beverages from freezing when left outside overnight.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and look forward to renting again in the future!
My husband, brother and I had a magical experience staying at Andy & Meg's Larkspur cabin. The cabin was cozy, comfy and offered everything we were looking/hoping for. We will definitely be back in the future! Meg was lovely to communicate with and a wonderful host!
The Larkspur Lodge was the perfect little getaway for our quick mountain vacation. It had everything we needed and a hot tub to boot!! Steps from the shuttle, but outside of Vail Village for a bit more peace and quiet.
This house amplified our Vail experience. The house is a few miles away from the village and a few trails. This house was excellent for family and friends. 10/10 would rent again.
Nice property, hot tub is 95% private, rooms are a little small but the beds are big queen size, good kitchen except we couldn’t figure out how to work the microwave and the turntable they’re in.
This cabin fit our needs perfectly for 6 adults and 2 dogs, with room to spare! The location was great-away from the heart of Vail so you had privacy, but close enough to have easy access to the town. The large hot tub on the back deck was wonderful for relaxing and viewing the amazing stars. The bedrooms are a little on the small side, but we appreciated having queen size beds that were very comfortable. I would be careful staying with small children, some pets, and elderly because the spiral staircase could be tricky. The cabin is well supplied with everything you could need. We loved being able to gather at the outside table for a couple of meals! Very relaxing stay! Thank you!
Nice house and very responsive owner. We had 3 children and 5 adults and everyone was happy with the place. Would suggest getting the knives sharpened and moving the fire extinguisher to a more accessible place but other than that the place worked for us perfectly.
