This cabin was the perfect place to stay on our first trip to NH. It’s only 20 minutes from the main strip in Conway where we did most of our eating and shopping. It’s only 40 minutes from the trailhead to hike Mt. Washington. When we weren’t out exploring, we spent our time cozy by the wood burning stove. The cabin had all of the amenities we needed including well seasoned wood that smelled amazing when burned. We loved the bear-themed decor around the cabin and truly enjoyed our stay here. We’ll be back!

I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay! Mount Washington Valley truly is a gem. I’d love to see you back next year!
What a hidden gem! This place is so cozy and homey. We floated the Saco River just 15 minutes away, then came back to a warm shower and grilled dinner with a lovely fire in the backyard. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay. We’ll definitely be returning next year. thank you for everything!

So glad you enjoyed your stay! See you next summer!
The cabin is cozy and well located, with easy access to trails and local attractions. The rustic decor creates a cozy atmosphere, perfect for relaxing. The well-equipped kitchen and fireplace were highlights during our stay. Overall, a great experience for those seeking tranquility and proximity to nature. We will definitely be back!
Enjoyed a very peaceful weekend away. This cabin has a very rustic and classic NH feel. The host was extremely helpful. Went into North Conway a few times which is a quick 20 min drive.
Our stay was wonderful! We did a short weekend away to celebrate my birthday with our 2 pups. Everybody had a wonderful time. Love that it is pet-friendly. Met the owner and she was also lovely and very friendly! Would absolutely come back here and highly recommend. :)

From the owner: "So glad you had a great trip. Hope to see you again soon"
This was a long awaited, much needed little getaway for my wife and I, our three dogs, and our best friends and their daughter. We had such a great time. Easy proximity to all sorts of activities, excellent communication with all parties, and lots of space to just hang out together and relax. You will not be disappointed! We are excited to go back and grateful for hosts that allow us to bring our doggos when we travel.

We love pet here and love having the opportunity to have furbabies along!
Very clean and kept up. Perfect spot.20 minutes from Rupp Arena, 10 minutes from Keeneland and the bourbon trail. It was a plus that all the major distilleries are between 10-30 minute drive.
Incredible stay at black bear lodge. Perfectly nestled in the trees, the lodge had everything you could need and was very clean. The bedrooms were well appointed and the living space with the log fires in the lounge and kitchen were dreamy. We had a wonderful stay and communication was excellent the entire time. We felt away from it all yet had so much opportunity for walks all around us. The guest book was filled with excellent examples and ideas of things to do and it was evident just how loved the lodge was by every visitor. We would 100% stay here again. It was the highlight of our 2 weeks in the USA.

Just Okay
Cabin inside was decorated cute, but the curb appeal was below average. Tv by the road and junk car in the driveway just didn’t make it seem very homey. Towels smelled like mildew and cob webs everywhere. Cleanliness could be a lot better. If it’s summer be sure to bring your own fans as there were only 3 that we could find.
The other reviewer who said that this property has no curb appeal but has a wonderful interior hit the nail on the head. It looks like a haunted house when you pull up. Even worse, we arrived at night and there are no lights in the driveway and we did not realize you have to go in the back door. But once we were in and settled, we loved it. It had plenty of room for a family of six to stay for a week. We loved the privacy. The kitchen has no frying pans, and any messages I tried to send about it were never answered. It's possible that after Evolve took over the listing the responsiveness level decreased. Thankfully we didn't have any major issues that needed to be addressed! The downstairs bedroom now has a queen bed in it so we had a master bath downstairs and our kids were upstairs. That's to update previous reviews to say there was no master bathroom. We went to the beach in Portland, hiked the presidents, and shopped in Conway. It was a perfect vacation.

I am so glad you folks enjoyed your stay! Yes, if you are not used to the deep woods in a rural area, it can definitely seem a little spooky lol! We purposely do not use a lot of bright, man-made, lighting, so we can keep the natural vibe and feel of the property. So glad you found your way into the cabin though.I want to apologize about not being responsive to your messages. I never received any and I am not sure where they go so I contacted evolve to clarify this. Thanks for the heads up! Hope to see you again next season!
From the outside this is an adorable log cabin that is on a slight turn in the road - so easy to miss. It's set back a bit giving you privacy in the backyard. The house is slightly oddly laid out and I was hoping for a 1st floor master (which I thought there was from the photos) only to find a single bed with a trundle downstairs. The kitchen while well appointed with tools for cooking lacks light. The temperature was warmer so some of the bedrooms felt stuffy but there were windows that had to be used gingerly. There is a lovely screened porch that is ideal for your morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine and enjoy nature while being protected from weather or bugs. There is a smaller cabin in the backyard, hidden in the trees that the caretaker stays in, which is fine as she is accessible but she also shares the driveway so you occasionally see her going back and forth. The cabin is very accessible to Conway, Freyburg as well as to marked trails for hiking, however, you do have to drive to those locations (I wouldn't recommend walking on the road as there was moderate traffic).

Rustic and Clean
We enjoyed our short stay. We had one concern which we have brought to Evolve's attention.
A very cute cabin, All the towels and linen appeared brand new. There is a full bathroom and bedroom on the 1st floor. The only wish is that they had more fans or a window ac.
