The Neighborhood:
Kinetic House is situated in one of the most desirable neighborhoods "on the mesa" in Yucca Valley near the border of Joshua Tree. This perfect central location is only 15 minutes to the picturesque Joshua Tree National Park where you can rock climb over 8,000 established climbing routes, go hiking, horse-riding, join in on a ranger talk, go biking, stargazing or just pack your camera and capture the unique landscape and wildlife that the park has to offer.
Visit Pioneertown, a 1940’s Old West movie set where more than 50 films and TV series were shot. See the frontier stables, saloons, and jails while inside there was ice cream parlors, bowling alleys, and motels. More than 50 films and television shows were filmed at the town in the 1940s and ‘50s and is now home to live music, mock gun fights and delicious food at Pappy and Harriet’s Pioneertown Palace.
Head to the Yucca Valley Town with many small, unique shops filled with antiques and gift items, visit one-of-a-kind restaurants and drop into local cafés to get your latte or espresso with a homemade sandwich or croissant. Getting Around:
Many roads in the high desert are dirt roads, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive is not, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain.
GPS is accurate, however please follow our turn-by-turn directions as some of the other approaches take you down fairly rough roads.
Other Things to Note:
• EVENTS & COMMERCIAL PHOTOSHOOTS: Are not permitted without prior approval, applicable permit and additional fees.
• DOGS: Your dog is welcome and there is a one time fee of $100. Please alert us in advance. Max of 2 dogs. No other types of animals are authorized.
• SOCIAL MEDIA: If you plan on sharing your experience on social media, please mention us!
• CELL SERVICE: Cell phone service availability and quality in the high desert varies by service provider. This is particularly true in the more remote areas of Joshua Tree, Pipes Canyon, and Pioneertown. Please be prepared by enabling wifi calling or downloading a VOIP program.
• ROAD CONDITIONS: Many roads are dirt, so please take it slow. A four wheel drive car is not required, but note that roads will often have ruts, particularly after a rain
