The house was AMAZING! This was the nicest house we have ever rented and we have rented quite a few houses. The views were outstanding! We saw a lot of wildlife including:Humpback WhalesOrcasBald EaglesGolden EaglesSealsand Sea lionsALL from the front deck!My husband was able to do extensive mountain biking in Victoria and Sooke.Be prepared for a long drive to town (1 hour each way). The driveway is extremely steep, but our Subaru managed it. There is a flat area halfway down to park cars that cannot handle the steep angle.

Paul is an amazing host with a beautiful property. If you like coastal settings with all the amenities to make your stay unbelievable you've found the right place! Six of us stayed comfortably, had an absolutely great time. Any communication we had in relation to the home or booking was promptly answered. Absolute serenity is how I would describe this property. Thanks again Paul!

There were the six of us: 4 adults, 2 children enjoying every minute in this spectacular house. We all wanted to stay a bit longer but Vancouver and Australia were calling us back. We thank the host and highly recommend this place.

I almost never give properties 5 stars. This one deserves every one of them. The house was very clean, the kitchen was really well stocked, the view is unreal, and the whole experience was just a positive one. We had some issues with the door lock, and the owner was very responsive and helpful throughout. There was a thunderstorm, and we lost power, and the house has a generator so we barely noticed. 100% would recommend this house. We are a family with two adults and two kids (9 and 11 at the time of our stay).

Great stay!

We had such a great stay at this beautiful and relaxing home. Everything was even better than advertised. We witnessed eagles everyday, watched whales spouting while we had our coffee, and loved all the convenient beaches. Great dinners cooked in the kitchen from our own seafood catches! Family time perfection.

The house was beautiful and provided a majority of essentials that made our arrival comfortable, due to flying! The location is accommodating for sight seeing, hiking and relaxing! We enjoyed breakfast at Shirley Delicious and dinner at Point No Point as it was quaint, with excellent food! We enjoyed a daily show of watching the seals , whales and a bald eagle from the balcony. Pack binoculars!

Beautiful Property

This house was well appointed especially the kitchen. The grounds were beautifully manicured and the view off the deck is postcard worthy. We were close to so many beaches and a great pizza restaurant down the road. 10/10 would recommend this property to any friends and family and we will be back!

Stacey - thank you, thank you, thank you. Thank you for treating our place like your own - it was spotless when we returned, and our plants appreciated the love and care. Thank you as well for being our first guests on this platform - I know it is a risk to book a place without any reviews. And thank for the kind review - we are so pleased you enjoyed your time at our place! You are welcome back anytime.

Amazing Experience

Our stay at this home was an amazing experience . The host was easy to contact and quickly responded to any questions we had. The house was beautiful and clean. The views from the deck were breathtaking. Many afternoons and evenings where spent on the deck watching seals, otters and sea lions in the water near by. We also were able to see whales in the distance on many occasions. This was truly a great experience.

Stunning

Our family stayed at this home for a week in the middle of a three-week roadtrip and it was absolutely amazing. The panoramic views of the Salish Sea were stunning. We were visited by a bald eagle flying past the deck multiple times a day, so close we could hear the wind from its wings! We saw harbor seals and a sea otter in the water below. The house is really well laid out, with views from every floor, comfortable, modern, beautiful, with a fabulous cooking kitchen. It was also a nice location for day trips to Victoria or up the coast to Botany Bay. We didn't want to leave!

An absolute gem

I can't emphasize enough how amazing this place was. From the moment we came down the steep drive and saw the house, nestled among the trees on the coast, we knew this was going to be a special trip. We had 4 generations in one house, from age 1.5 to 85, and there was plenty of room and everyone had a blast. We've never stayed at a better-equipped rental, and to say the views are stunning is an understatement. On top of that, communication with our host was wonderful, both before and during our stay! We would not hesitate to stay here again, it was pure magic.

Family trip

What a great trip overall. Some pros and cons; Pros: Amazing property with beautiful views. Property had everything we needed. Easy to locate. Owner rsponsiveness was excellent. Cons: For the rental cost and cleaning fee having to take garbage to a dump is a bit inconvenient. Bbq, multiple dishes and childrens high chair all needed a thorough cleaning before use. Overall excellent stay, would highly recommend and would definitely come back!
