Walking distance to the Dunlin Hotel, the Bungalows are a limited collection of furnished boathouses nestled along a quiet creek off the Kiawah River. The spirit of the Bungalows is all about carefree romantic getaways or the ideal jumping off point for authentic Lowcountry adventures from this picturesque riverfront village.
The Whimbrel offers a small kitchenette, Keurig style coffee maker, cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, stand-alone ice maker, mini fridge, king bed and walk-in shower with tub. Washer/Dryer is located under the bungalow in the garage. There are 16 steps to enter the 2nd floor property. There is an outdoor shower under the bungalow in the garage. The outdoor porch is a perfect place to take in breathtaking coastal views.
The Whimbrel is part of the vibrant Kiawah River community on Johns Island. You're just a 5-minute drive to Kiawah Island, Seabrook Island, and Freshfields Village, and only 25 minutes from historic downtown Charleston. Embrace the local charm: walk or bike extensive trails, play tennis or pickle ball, shop Rosebanks farm, join a goat yoga class, book a kayak, boat, or fishing tour departing just steps from your door.

Construction: There are nearby homes and hotel under construction. Some construction noise can be heard from the home during working hours. Monday-Friday 7-7. Saturday 8-5. The price reflects this and will increase upon completion.

Absolutely amazing property. Nice and quiet . Near local Groccery store and shopping Pavilion. Nice get away for a couples weekend. A++++ accommodations nice new and clean! Will definetly return.
I was very pleased with the rental and it was as expected and advertised. Property is in an excellent location with Freshfields market and restaurants nearby. This unit is also across the street from the pool and fitness center which was very nice.
This is one of the best trips we’ve taken in awhile. From start (planning our trip) to finish (packing up and heading home) it was great. Natalie at Sewee Properties is the BEST!!! The cottage was clean, new and just lovely. The grounds are beautiful - paths around ponds/waterways are great for morning/evening walks. It was such a relaxing week for us. Will visit again.
The new palmetto bluff but near beaches and city living! Was excited for the bungalows to be completed and having the opportunity to stay in the charming clean well done accommodation with gorgeous views! Porch was perfect for cocktails and sunrise/ sunsets while taking in the beautiful preserved nature. The neighborhood has made great progress and staying in the bungalow was a perfect opportunity to making the next move into this new exciting community. Renting bikes and or golf cart highly recommended . Sewee provided all the help needed for making our stay easy. Will definitely recommend to our friends.
I had a great stay here. The Bungalows are impeccably furnished and sit in a very quaint little community. They have done it very well with the guest house that has a great pool and gym - all very well done. I’d stay here again for sure!
