Two families stayed (total 10), lots of room to sleep, kitchen was nice and big. Property was big and lots of privacy, store right there for anything needed. Price of wood is ridiculous ($28/bag), don’t buy any wood, lots of dead wood in the surrounding bush, just drag it out and burn. Enjoyed our time, thanks.
The cottage and property were neat, clean and inviting. Kayaks were set and ready to go. We all enjoyed resting, relaxing, walking, swimming, kayaking, SUPboarding but the fish avoided us. Josh told us that around the point and in the middle of the lake was the best fishing and we did catch three on our last day. It was a a great vacation and Josh was extremely helpful and a great owner. We would recommend Josh's property. Great memories were made. Thank you.

About the host
Hosted by Joshua Luksa
In 2018, The Luksa Lodge (Our First Cottage) began as a personal cottage for our family to enjoy the great Canadian outdoors and get away from the busy city. Watching our children grow here through the years, we’ve recognized just how rewarding the community of Restoule is. With serenity and adventure found in abundance in Restoule, we dreamed of a collection of vacation cottages so other families could enjoy this slice of paradise we stumbled on. In connecting other families with this opportunity, we discovered the pleasure of sharing the natural bounty and close-knit community here at The Luksa Lodge. It’s the joy of providing people with an incredible experience that makes our efforts worthwhile. Our business is our love for and pride in Restoule and that is a true blessing.
We believe that the world is welcome to Restoule! From summer to winter and from sandy beaches to snowy banks, there is beauty and fun to be found at the lake and the surrounding Almaguin Highlands. Taking away the stress of short-term rentals for you, our guest, creates a positive experience for everyone involved. By simplifying the entire process through our strong communication and attention to detail, we make it easier to enjoy your visit at The Luksa Lodge
