Escape to the Kentucky Rockies in this newly built tiny cabin near the Red River Gorge area. `Throw`n Shade at the Red’ comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests, boasts perfect seclusion and sits within 30 minutes of Natural Bridge State Park. You can find yourself relaxing on the beautiful deck while taking in all that nature has to offer or enjoying a cozy fire after a strenuous day of adventuring. This cabin is exactly what your small group getaway needs when searching for an affordable getaway.

- Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen (standard coffee pot, microwave, 2 burner electric cooktop), WiFi, washer/dryer, charcoal grill, fire pit, RokuTV, a sizable deck w/ outdoor furniture, and more!
- Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1 - Queen Bed | Bedroom 2 - Queen Bed | Living Room - 2 Single Sleeper Sofas

- We provide fresh linens and towels. We also include essential starter packs to make your stay easier! (Starter packs include: 2 rolls of toilet paper, 2 rolls of paper towels, 3 shampoos and conditioners, 3 bar soaps, 3 laundry pods, 3 trash bags, and 1 sponge.) You will also need to bring your own firewood and charcoal for the grill. Please purchase firewood locally.
- Please note that a 4-wheel drive vehicle is recommended as this cabin sits atop a gravel hill. Property is gated. Trailers prohibited.
- Quiet location! 30 - 45 minute drive to zip lines, horseback riding, rock climbing, hiking, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, shopping, restaurants, and much more.

Super location for red river gorge

Property was beautiful and an excellent location for activities in the red river Forge. Additional remedies such as toilet trees were a nice touch. Beds ere very comfortable.

Great smaller cabin

Loved the seclusion of the cabin. I would advise 4WD for the driveway, my van made it. It was clean which is a must. It was comfortable and cozy, would recommend to small groups and family!!!Thanks for the Great stay!

Perfect for a couple getaway

It was a perfect stay for a couple getaway. The hot tub was great, the fire pit was nice as well. Will definitely stay again.

I was looking for a secluded cabin with a hot tub. This checked both those boxes. It’s down a low traffic country road. As the other reviews mention the driveway is terrible, you have to have a 4WD SUV. Very deep ruts and steep. I wouldn’t try this in the winter. The outlet under the tv did not work. One of the beds isn’t very comfortable and the frame is very squeaky. There are very nice blackout shades in each bedroom.

I tried to take a picture of driveway to alert others of how terrible and huge ruts are there to bottom out. We had to carry all of our stuff up to the cabin up the steep driveway. It was terrible. Coffee pot was not clean, we had to deep clean it to use it comfortably. The two seats for furniture in living room where tv is are completely stained and scary to sit on without throwing a blanket over them first. The shower has standing water in it while showering, doesn't drain good whatsoever. Little bugs flying around inside of cabin that get into your food and fly around your head constantly. Moldy mattress directly on floor of room with laundry in it. Tried to get in touch with someone and nothing back.

Getaway for family

My family had a pleasant time at Throw'n Shade. It was a quick trip to get outdoors at the Gorge, grab some pizza, then a evening at the cabin. The location is beautiful, nice view of a valley in the spring with no close neighbors. Just enough for what we were looking for.

Watch out for the driveway, bring tick repellent

We loved the cabin, the area is beautiful and serene. 4 adult women stayed here and let me tell you, don’t come if you don’t have 4x4, I can’t even believe they rent a place with such a driveway!! Also, we saw multiple ticks (on us) so bring bug spray and plan on using it! The place is cute but the fold outs are uncomfortable and some sheets to cover them would have been appreciated. Very minimal kitchen but it was doable.

Lovely Getaway

Adorable little stay! Had everything we needed and more. Would definitely recommend a 4 wheel drive as in description. But both outside and inside features were perfect for our anniversary getaway.

We really enjoyed our weekend. We had a few small hiccups but the property manager was very responsive and all issues were resolved very quickly. Great property! Great Customer Service! Great time overall. 10/10 will be staying again!
