Rooms were nice and clean and location was easy to get to. Just thought there could be a few more supplies. Only 2 dishwasher pods and no oil available on site to season the cast iron pan provided. But we managed. Fall colors bloomed on the property and it was beautiful. And although we didn't avail ourselves to them, the books and board games were a nice touch. Would stay here again.

Nice weekend in the country

We had a great stay at this quaint home in the woods. Clean, well firnished and quiet. Our family had a great time there and visiting the Corning Museum.

Peaceful stay near Watkins Glen

We had a great stay; the house is in a good location for visiting Watkins Glen, downtown Horseheads, and more. Very comfortable, well stocked and plenty of room for 5 adults. Great yard and nice back deck for eating outside. The hosts did a nice job with the little extras like cozy throw blankets for curling up on the couch, and a great assortment of puzzles, games and books. A nice place for families!

Finger Lake Visit

The home was as advertised. Experienced a power outage in the area, and the owners came to check on us and brought flashlights.

Watkins Glenn vacation

We stayed 3 nights. Location was fantastic! House was accommodating. Lots of room the 4 of us. One thing not advetised is great view of sunset from back porch or living room window.

Hideaway

The place was nice and worked for what we needed. I liked the keyless entry. Made things very easy.Place was cleanThings were labeled, trash, recycle, etc. We did not have cell service (verizon carrier) at the house, so we were grateful the wi-fi.We did not contact the property manager. Check in was simple and check out there was a checklist to follow.

Great Location!

We loved staying here. It was within 15 minutes of Watkin's Glen and Corning, which were the two places we wanted to visit. We loved the private wooded feel of the property. It was very clean and we had everything we needed. That being said, the house was a little dated. There is a lot of dark wood, old doors, and a musty downstairs. It had a little more of a cabin feel to it. My family didn't mind that though. It felt more like a home than a ritzy hotel. The last note I'll make is that the water smelled like sulfur in the sinks and shower. Thankfully there was filtered water and ice as part of the refrigerator. Altogether, my kids loved it and we were already talking about coming back.

Nice place to stay

Communication with the property manager was very good. The home is 20 minutes from Corning. There is a grocery store 6 miles away and Watkin’s Glen is 20 minutes north. When you arrive you will enter into the basement. In the basement is a refrigerator, books, games, and a half bath. The stairs up to the main floor is quite steep. The kitchen is has good appliances. But if I was to stay there again I’d bring my own skillet. The one there is old and worn out. No central air. One has a window AC. 2 bedrooms have queen beds. One bedroom has two twin beds. The beds are comfortable. Water pressure is is really poor. Don’t expect to watch TV unless you brought HDMI cables and a laptop. Wi-Fi is good, ATT wireless isn’t. Would I stay here again, sure.
