The property is very close to town and the wooded trail nearby made it perfect for our stay. The rooms were cozy and comfortable. The owner was easy to reach and responded quickly, and reached out to make sure everything was going well. This was an ideal place to stay while we explored the south shore.

Perfect spot in Mahone Bay

Lisette’s place was clean and cozy. Has everything you need to cook, and is close to downtown while also being tucked away on a quiet street. Would definitely recommend!

The cutest place ever with adorable charm! Our family loved staying here. Very inviting. Lisette had everything you could think of available to make us feel at home. Wish we could have stayed longer and would love to come back! So nice to be able to bring our dog Ruby as well. Close access to the trails, restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend!

Nice place to stay in Mahone Bay

We enjoyed our stay at this comfortable and very nicely decorated cottage. Everything we needed was there and it was an easy walk to shops and restaurants in Mahone Bay and a short drive to Lunenburg. It is around the corner from the bike trail.

Lisette's on Long Hill is a home straight from a magazine, beautifully decorated. It is so homey, has all the necessary provisions and then some, the attention to detail was amazing. It is a convenient location central to everything you would want to visit in the area. We spent most of our time in the solarium when we were when not out and about, it was so bright and airy, you felt like you were in a treehouse as it is surrounded by trees. Lissette was as a great host and easy to communicate with. We would definitely recommend this place.

Quiet oasis!

Wonderful cottage within walking distance or easy drive of amenities, such as shops, coffee bars and restaurants. Lisette's on Long Hill is perfectly located to use as a home base to visit Mahone Bay, Lunenburg, The Ovens and many parts in between. We highly recommend.

Great place to stay in Mahone Bay

Lisette's property was the ideal place to stay on the South Shore. The convenient location made it central to everything you would want to visit in the area. The home felt like a home with all you would ever need. Quiet street with a trail close by. The attention to detail and all yours needs are included right down to a well stocked coffee machine.

Warm and welcoming stay in Mahone Bay

Lisette’s house was everything we wanted and more. She has created an inviting yet organized space with everything we could need and more - including kitchen essentials and a take home jar of sea glass! The sun porch was so lovely so sit out on too. Lisette's property is very clean and comfortable. It's easy to find and has convenient parking right outside the solarium on a quiet street. The bed was especially comfortable. She has put a lot of thought into making the space a pleasant one for her guests. The only thing lacking was appropriate lighting in the living room for reading. Otherwise we had all that we needed in this charming space and felt comfortable during our stay in the Mahone Bay area.

Wonderful getaway location

We were travelling with another couple and very much enjoyed this location and the amenities. We were a short distance from the Rum Runners trail and managed to walk to Lunenburg. The kitchen had most of what we needed to cook. There is a very tiny sink in the bathroom and the bathroom is small so would not be comfortable for anyone who is a little larger.

We would return

We went to Lysette's cottage in Mahone Bay to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were very happy with it. Even the cat liked it there. All expectations were met but there were extra enjoyments. The fire table outside and the solarium were benefits beyond what would satisfy. And, there were always animals about, not only birds and squirrels but also deer! The location is just fine for enjoying beautiful Mahone Bay, as long as you are happy to walk for 15 minutes or just do a short drive. Also, a generous host.

The property is charming and delightfully decorated but there are a couple of safety concerns. The deck is old and rickety and the stairs down to the beautiful fire pit area are narrow, steep, uneven and have no railing. Not ideal for anyone with mobility problems.

When I was a teenager, my friend and I used to make day trips to Mahone Bay from further down the south shore. I grew up in an Acadian village in Yarmouth County called Pubnico, and Mahone Bay was (and still is, of course) a two hour drive away. (I won't divulge my age, but she was driving her parents' velour seated sedan so it wasn't yesterday. :) )

It is then I fell in love with the "bay."

Two years ago I moved to this beautiful place. The people are wonderful, the views are fantastic, and the town is simply charming.

I am excited to share my cottage with you. Lisette's on Long Hill will help you fall in love with Mahone Bay too.
