Enjoyed having you and will update the apps on the TV. Come back anytime!
We had a wonderful stay in the caboose after a day of exploring Route 66. It was a perfect way to end the day. The hosts did a great job renovating the old caboose. I would recommend it to anyone passing through Joplin.
The caboose was so much fun and super cute. Looked just like the pictures. We stayed 2 nights. It was convenient to our activity and easy to get to. We had an issue but the host was quick to get the problem resolved!

We're so glad you had fun staying in the caboose and that it lived up to the pictures! It's great to hear the location was convenient and easy to get to for your activities, and that any issue during your stay was handled quickly. Thanks for sharing your experience!
Really loved this cozy and unique caboose cabin. Nice n homey inside, close to things but remote and quiet, and near highways to zip off to Joplin or Ozarks. Perfect quick getaway.

Thank you for enjoying our caboose! It was our pleasure to have you. Please remember us in the future!
This was the perfect place for us during our work commutes from Kansas City to Joplin. It offered a small refrigerator, sink and prep area for meals, microwave and induction cooktop and pans ( which we did not utilize on this visit. Nice location, off of the beaten path and still right next to the highway for easy access. I was surprised on how busy the frontage road was, but nothing of concern. There is a porch at the front for sitting out after dinner, however being that it faces the road, maybe in the future a sitting area of the side or ?Hands down , a great place to stay, and the uniqueness is excellent, and the inside is spot on and well done.

Thank you for the wonderful review! We're so glad this spot worked well for your work commutes between Kansas City and Joplin, and that you enjoyed the kitchen setup, the easy highway access, and the porch for relaxing after dinner. It means a lot to hear that the uniqueness and the inside details stood out to you as spot on and well done.
Pretty interesting place to stay. The Caboose offered everything that my wife and I would need. Check in was very easy as was the check out process. AC kept up with the 100 degrees outside. We did not need to use the kitchen, but it seems stocked with items that we could have. Was a great conversation piece and a unique place to stay. There are two units there, the caboose and also a passenger car.

We're so glad you and your wife enjoyed your stay in the Caboose and found it to be such a unique conversation piece. It's great to hear check-in and check-out were smooth and that the A/C kept things comfortable despite the 100-degree heat outside. We put thought into stocking the kitchen so guests have what they need, even if it's not always used. It's a special property with two distinct units, the Caboose and the passenger car, and we're happy you got to experience it firsthand. Thanks for sharing your experience and for the 5-star review.
The caboose was perfect for our short stay. Joplin is a great town. People are friendly!!!

No title
It was unique, but truly not desirable. Entryway floors and lighting were not what one would want. It is not safe for most seniors, with any type of issue, be it legs or eyes. I would recommend the other side of the train where all the floors are level, there is plenty of lighting, lots of seating for visitors, and there is a real kitchen. In the caboose I felt like I was in a motor home without level floors. Like I said, for only a few dollars more, I will come back to the big side of the train (that is if they will let me after this review). Thank you for hearing me out, Pam Bouse

We’re sorry the space did not fully meet your expectations. The caboose is intentionally a smaller, unique accommodation, and we’ve worked to make the most of its original layout and character. We appreciate you sharing your experience and feedback.
