Group Hug is a four-bedroom, four-bathroom home located just steps from the beach in Morgantown, a family-friendly, beachside community. Morgantown offers two swimming pools, lighted tennis and pickleball courts, and four beach access boardwalks. The home is also conveniently near the award-winning Kiva Dunes Golf Course.

• The fully equipped kitchen features everything needed in your home away from home. The dining area seats eight and there are four barstools for additional seating.

• The covered balcony provides seating for six around a table and includes four high-top Adirondack chairs, offering another perfect space to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

• The living area offers a twin sleeper chair for additional sleeping accommodations.

• The primary bedroom has a king-size bed, an attached bath with a Jacuzzi tub, and private balcony access.

• The second bedroom has a queen-size bed with an attached full bath.

• The third bedroom also includes a queen-size bed with an attached full bath.

We love the house layout and was nice and clean. The location was great with short walk to the beach. We love having coffee on the deck that had views on the water. The host was great and sent beach updates.

Just spent a week here with my family and the commendations were great. There could have been more blankets there but other than that it was a great stay. There were two pools that we took advantage of. Very clean and friendly environment. I recommend staying at Morganville. I will go back and visit again.

My family and i had a great time at Group Hug. the Property was beautiful, I would recommend renting a golf cart for your trip. there were plenty of options to do and have fun. Don't let the washing machine scare you! it was part of the character of the house.

Great for XL families

This home is an absolute dream for families! The standout feature is undoubtedly the incredible family areas that are both functional and inviting. The kitchen area, family room, and outdoor area were spacious and open, providing a comfortable space for everyone to gather and spend quality time together, for movie nights, cooking or playing games, or simply relaxing. The kitchen had more gadgets than listed, multiple crock pots, toasters, griddles, coffee maker and k-pod coffee maker. Great for large family meals. Great property!

Lovely Home.

Beautiful Inside. Was a little misled on the sleeping arrangement, but it worked out perfectly. There was dirty mattress cover on the pull out twin bed, went to wash it and had immediate issues with washing machine. It was reported, but we were not really able to do any of our laundry and used dirty towels up until our very last day of stay. They did make it right with a discount, but not having clean towels and cramming all our cloths last day was a bit of a bummer. Honestly, the laundry situation is only complaint.

Relaxing Place!

We wanted a relaxing vacation for a group of 5 girls, and it was exactly what we needed! The place was very spacious and just a short walk down the road to the beach. The house was very clean and had all the amenities we could ask for. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it easy to cook meals together, and the living room provided a cozy space for us to unwind after a day at the beach. The bedrooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were stocked with towels. The host was also incredibly welcoming, offering us great local recommendations and checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall, it was a perfect getaway spot for a group of friends. I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, beachside retreat with easy access to everything.

We were a group of 12 people which easily fit I the house. I loved that each room had its own bathroom. It was very comfy and was easy for all of us to eat meals together at the big table. Loved the outdoor shower, perfect for getting the sand and salt water off before heading inside.

Wi fi didn’t work and was only repaired by our efforts with supplier. Took 3 days. Management was contacted 3 or 4 times. Grill was disgusting. Owners left nice cookie package at door. Overall a 4 star property

WIFI is always an item we check before guest arrive, however, we cannot guarantee that the WIFI will be functional during your stay since we are not the WIFI supplier. You will be pleased to know that the owner has provided a new grill for his guests to enjoy. Nice place great location not kept up by management company

We liked the house itself and location. The master bath is beautiful and the layout is very family friendly. But many things in disrepair. Towel bar falling off wall, missing door knob in closet, cooking utensils were horrible old falling apart, broken blender. The tub in one bath was full of dirty water when we arrived, no lamp in one bedroom, no bedside table in another bedroom, one lamp in living room, couches stained, rug stained, towels super cheap and thin, the few pillows that were there were small lumpy and smelled. Broken blinds, broken door knob to deck, missing light bulbs, beds are not comfortable and one bed the box spring and the mattress make this really obnoxious noise every time you moved. With all of this the worst was the presence of black mold of which I have pics. It was in two baths which the maintenance man came to fix by spraying bleach on it. I am from the deep south and I can assure you I have never had, nor have the hairy crawling mold that was present in this rental. I did ask the maintenance man to fix the items that he could to which he hesitated as he had not received a ticket to do the repairs but he did do it. We were not told the mold was in the house when we arrived to check in. After he came to “fix” the mold, two days later it reappeared in two other places one being a light fixture. The house has a problem in the ventilation system that needs to be addressed. I immediately addressed the management company Beachball properties to which I received no response. I did get a list of what needed to be done upon departure with threat of further charges if not completed by 10am. I did call Beachball about my stay and over 3 weeks made numerous calls to which I was was told by the manager I would receive a phone call after he researched the issue (I did not get a return call so I had to call again 5 days after he said he would get back to me, to be told he was not available) I did talk to him several hours later to which he told me it was mildew and "they" fixed my issues so what was my problem. I told him I would never rent from him again and he replied good and said good bye. I expect a clean, well maintained, well stocked property without MOLD black green or otherwise. Be very wary when renting from this company. Owners you should find a new company to represent your home. FYI I called VRBO about this issue, sent pics to be told I had to work it out with the management company. Fees paid to VRBO for what?

Thank you for taking the time to post a review. However, several of the items mentioned in your review deserve some clarification as to accuracy. After your arrival, you contacted our office regarding certain housekeeping/maintenance issues. As is our policy, we immediately sent one of our maintenance personnel to the property to ascertain the extend of your concerns and decide an appropriate course of action. Our maintenance personnel attended to your concerns. The “black mold” you refer to was mildew on an AC vent. There is no ventilation problem in this house and to state that as a fact in a review is extremely disingenuous. Previous reviews of this property have always been 4 and mostly 5-star reviews. The guest who had just vacated the property prior to your arrival had awarded a 5 Star review to reflect the quality of their experience. The “threats” you allege you received were nothing more than a check list we provide to all our guest as reminder of what is requested at check out. This is not an accurate review, and you should consider removing it as an act of fairness toward the owner.

None of the codes given were accurate. Upon arrival I had to call and get a new door code to enter the house. The code given for the pool was also inaccurate. Not a major problem but....

Perfect for our Family

This beautiful beach house was perfect for our family. Nicely decorated and furnished. Large, open living/dining/kitchen area was great for eating, watching TV, playing games and just hanging out. Each of the four bedrooms had its own bath and the primary bedroom and bath were extra special. Plenty of seating both inside and outside on the spacious deck. The only downside was the walk to the beach was a little long for my husband and I who are in our 70’s but the younger folks in our family didn’t mind at all. The owners of Turtle Bay have definitely gone the extra mile to make sure their guests are comfortable and have everything they need for a great beach vacation.

Awesome Property in a Great Location

The home was nice and up to date with furnishings and comfortable beds. Ocean view, in a nice, peaceful neighborhood with a pool, tennis courts, and several beach access points. Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent Spot and our new summer destination!!!

My family consist of my wife and I, 2 daughters, 2 son in laws and 5 grandchildren ( 11yo to 1 yo ). We traveled from Illinois and arrived around 5pm. Check in was smooth, house was beautiful, with the right amount of space. Plenty of space to spread out, a nice deck and a fun 5 minute walk to the beach. The property is located 10 minutes from the Ft. Morgan historical site ( Highly recommend ) and 30 minutes from Orange Beach, which had great places to eat and shop. We enjoyed being able to relax, grill, sit on the deck, and hang out on the beach. We only had one issue and that was with the dish tv. However, this was due to something beyond the properties control and they made EVERY effort to fix this. I highly recommend this property and will most definitely be back in 2022!!
