About this property

Bush retreat near Lake Eildon - comfortable house on bush block

The house is set on several acres of beautiful, secluded bushland near Lake Eildon.

At the centre of the house is a cosy living room with a fireplace, and a well set up kitchen. You can BBQ on the weber or in the fire pit, and most importantly kick back and relax on the huge deck surrounded by bushland.

There are four bedrooms, two with queen size beds, one with two bunks and a cot, and one with a bunk (double bed on the bottom).

SHEETS AND TOWELS ARE NOT PROVIDED – WE KINDLY ASK YOU BRING YOUR OWN

The house is fully off-grid, solar power and tank water, so we do ask you are especially careful using water and electricity.

The house is a perfect get away for two families or a small group of friends. No parties, events or camping.

There are kayaks, life jackets and inflatables at the house for you to use.

Important: Lake Eildon is currently around a 5-minute walk/drive from the house. Lake Eildon is a dam used for irrigating farms across Victoria so water levels are often changing. You can check current Lake Eildon water levels my searching 'Managing water levels at Lake Eildon.'

Guest access
You will have access to the whole house.

Important things to note
There is finite power so not charging EVs or using your own appliances.
We do provide hand towels, bathmat and tea towels.
The only heating is a wood heater in the living room.
There is no TV, but books and games to use, and being in the bush there isn’t broadband, but you can get Telstra reception and minimal Optus reception. A stay a Lakeside Bush Retreat is your chance for a digital detox but if you need some screen time, we suggest you download what you like to watch or play onto your device before you come and stay.

Simply amazing

We stayed at Jane’s place and it is truly a hidden gem. It felt like coming to your own nice and clean home. Amazing water front view from terrace and each room with all the creature comfort including fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and laundry as well. There is plenty of room to stretch your legs or go on the property for bush walk or you can use the kayaks when ever you feel like it if you get tired just sit back and relax by the fire in front yard or in the lounge. I am pretty certain you can launch the boat and leave it in the water while you stay as no one else is around. To sim it up - very nice and clean home - all amenities (except screen) - private beach and water front (kayaking, fishing, boating) - plenty of firewood - complete bliss if you want to stay away from screens Will be coming again at the next available opportunity. Thanks Jane
