From the owner: "Thank you so much, for the high score and review. Hope you stay with us again."
This property was our favorite experience so far! So clean and comfortable! The pond, wildlife and scenery are amazing! Mark was extremely helpful and easy to get in touch with. We would definitely stay here again!
The cottage is like new, and one of the best stocked and equiped VRBOs we have rented. The setting across the street from a lake is beautiful and tranquil. Our host, Mark, was accomdating, friendly, and helpul. My wife and I both highly recommend this cottage!
Super clean, well-maintained house. Everything was perfect. The owners were super conscientious and communicated well to make sure everything was just right. Could not recommend this place more.
The home was lovely and cozy. The location was easy to find and entry, even late at night, in our case, was very straightforward.
There were so many nice, welcoming touches that we appreciated and wished we could have spent more time there! If it was possible to give it a perfect rating, we would! Thank you again for a wonderful stay!
This cottage was so immaculate and beautifully decorated. The owner thought of everything a guest may need and supplies were plentiful. It looks brand new and is cozy and comfortable. We loved staying here as it was close to Augusta and Gardiner. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and really went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. I highly recommend this property!

From The Owner: "Thank you Diane for visiting our Cottage. And thank you for the wonderful review!! It was a pleasure chatting with you And thank you so much for leaving the cottage and such a tidy way! I hope you make it this way again!"
We had a lovely stay here. This is a small but comfortable cabin. It has comfortable furnishings and an efficient kitchen for prepping meals. It has a spacious back yard with a grill and plenty of patio furniture. We loved the outdoor shower! Front porch has a beautiful view with chairs. Our favorite part of this property was the dock and canoes! We spent hours on the lake It was very peaceful and serene. If you are looking for a getaway from a busy life, this is a great escape without a hefty price tag. We will definitely be returning!

From the owner: "Thank you so much for choosing the Cottage On Dam Pond... We agree that it is quite a special place! Thank you so much for respecting and leaving the cottage in such wonderful shape, and yes, we do hope you come back soon!"
This is a lovely, clean and comfortable property. Everything we could possibly need- from can opener to canoe was provided. The private dock was the perfect spot to see baby loons paddle by. The “pond” was bigger than we expected and so quiet. The hosts deserve a huge “well done” for what they have created. We can’t wait to return!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage on Dam Pond. Everything went very smoothly checking in. Our host, Mark answered any questions we had and was readily available. We had not been to Augusta before and enjoyed Maine Cabin Masters, Fort Western and Cushnoc Brewing.

Thank you for your lovely cottage and all the amenities. We truly felt welcome.
This is a very new house across the road from the dock on the pond. It was very quiet with just a bit of traffic on the road in the morning and evening. Very well equipped and spotless. Everything was provided for Kayak/Canoe journeys on the pond. Also, it is only 10-15 minutes from downtown Augusta which made it very convenient for us. We enjoyed our stay and would book this house again.
We had the most delightful stay at the cottage. Before check in our host reached out to give us some recommendations and let us know we could check in early. They stayed in communication throughout our stay as well and it was really nice to build rapport with lifelong Mainers. The cottage had everything we needed in the kitchen, bath and living areas. Bonus, there were little hand written notes and maps sharing extra instructions and tidbits. We spent a lot of time on the pond and the boating options were plentiful. We met the loons (from a respectful distance) and took in sunrises and sunsets from the dock. We’re only sad we couldn’t stay longer. We look forward to renting again.

From the owner: "We are glad you enjoyed your stay. Thank you so much for leaving the house put back together and clean!! Hope you come again!"
This was our 2nd stay at this property. That says a lot! The cabin is wonderful. The "pond" is lovely (I call it a lake). The area is so quiet. The location is very non-commercial, however, we were 15 minutes away from restaurants, a major grocery store and gas. It was the perfect place for us to hang out, canoe (and watch mama, papa and baby loon) and chill on the dock. But, the coast is an easy hour drive. There are many great hikes in the Belgrade Lakes region. There's even an amazing Antique Mall in Fairfield if you have a rainy day. Couldn't be happier and hope to return. PS, check in couldn't be easier and the kitchen had everything (and more) than we needed. PSS, everything was very clean too!

I went to the site and it was not as described. The house was very close to a busy road, the lake was across the street, and the house had a cigarette smell. I called the people who owned it and they said there was no smoking in the house. I went to a hotel in Augusta.

Hi Kathleen, the homeowners were surprised to read your review, as they are accustomed to providing 5-star experiences, and would like to clarify the following details: - We have thoroughly reviewed the listing to ensure our future guests will find the perfect vacation home for their needs. The listing now states that from the home, there is a quick walk across the street, to access the boat dock. We’re sorry if you felt caught off guard by needing to cross the road during your stay. We do provide plenty of suggestions in the listing description of nearby attractions, but ultimately it’s up to the guest how they want to spend their time in the area.- We do try our best to provide a great environment for guests, but sometimes external factors like the roads are simply out of our control. We're sorry to hear that you experienced difficulty with the road. However, we do provide a map to advertise the home's location in the listing description so that guests can see the approximate location of the home before booking.- We want our guests to arrive at a vacation home that is 100% ready for their stay, so we take the cleanliness of our properties seriously. We have never experienced problems with bad odors in our home and our cleaning crew did not report anything unusual before your stay. That being said, we apologize for your experience and will look into what may have caused the odor.- As you can see by our many great reviews, we are accustomed to providing five-star experiences, and we look forward to this property hosting many happy travelers!
Upon arrival was ecstatic with the way the property looked from the outside! It only got better as we entered the home. Clean, up to date, roomy and comfortable!
We took a walk over to the pond and the only statement made was "WOW!". We had a great time using the all of the water toys and even took a dip in the pond. Spent plenty of time just relaxing there and enjoying the serenity.
This home is incredible! I look forward to telling others about it! Our host was also exceptionally graceful as he contacted us to let us know where everything was and that we could check in early if we arrived ahead of schedule.
Oh, and I cant forget about the super cool and handy outside bath!
I want to say thanks for an incredible stay and opportunity to provide my Son and his 2 friends an incredible experience and memories they will cherish!
