Location was perfect, loved how bright and sunny the unit was. Really enjoyed the deck space. Check in process was rocky, we were not supplied with the entry code prior to our arrival. Once we did make contact with the host, they were responsive after that. Overall the unit was very nice (freezer door handle still needs fixing…)
My thanks for a second stay at this clean and cool-looking apartment, which was steps from great restaurants and shops. I loved the charm of this neighbourhood and will book the suite again.
Terrible communication from the host. Terrible experience with a massive hole in the bathroom ceiling above the shower making it completely unusable. Ended up not even being able to stay the whole time and completely ruined our trip.
It's a lovely apartment, with a great location on a surprisingly quiet corner. I loved seeing the mountain from the balcony, with its fall colors glowing. It's spacious and comfortable. I wish the entry code had been provided earlier, and we had a bit of a glitch with the door, but the building contacts were helpful and pleasant, and overall I would be happy to stay here again.
For anyone looking to get a local's experience of Montreal, this location couldn't be better. Around the corner from L'Express on a super charming block, catty corner from a elementary school, with a super sweet balcony with a view of the cross in Mont Royal Park. The space was great for our family of four. We put the kids on the couches and enjoyed sprawling out in the living room in the evenings. The balcony was super sweet. Downsides, there were a ton of things coming apart. The freezer door handle was coming off its hinge, same with a closet door, both the sink and the shower were so clogged we showered in our own filth. And the kitchen was so sparcely appointed it would have been a major challenge to cook had we wanted to. Seemed like the place just needed a little attention. We also never got on the wifi and didn't get a response from the owner when we had trouble. This was mostly fine as we didn't need it, but if we'd come to work, it would have been frustrating.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed the charm of our neighborhood, the convenient location, and the balcony views—it’s truly a special spot in the city, and we’re glad it added to your Montreal experience.
We sincerely apologize for the maintenance issues you encountered during your stay. Your comments about the freezer handle, closet door, clogged drains, and the kitchen inventory are well taken, and we’ve already scheduled a thorough inspection and necessary repairs to ensure future guests enjoy a more seamless experience. We’re also sorry to hear about the WiFi trouble and the lack of response—this is not the level of communication we aim for, and we’re taking steps to improve responsiveness going forward.
We really appreciate your honest input—it helps us grow and improve. We hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future with a more polished stay.
With 33° plus weather and unbearable humidity walking into this unit after climbing for steep flights of stairs with your suitcase, and walking into 50° heat and no working air conditioning was awful. After trying to contact the host for two days, and no response and no air-conditioning and no Wi-Fi. We finally reached the owner he was extremely hostile and said if we kept complaining, he wouldn’t even bring us one fan. He then showed up with no fan and made and made two women over 50 cry with his hostility and misogyny. He also repeatedly told us how he owns 24 buildings and this was his smallest building, and that he didn’t have to do anything for us. The owner explained to us
The property manager was unreachable for three days because it was Canadian holiday. We are Canadian and it’s why we are traveling.we finally asked the owner to leave as his hostility became scary, and we felt unsafe. We then found other accommodations for our last two nights and notified VRBO, who never got back to us. We then had a message from the property manager to I guess was finally off holiday and were told to vacate the property and there would be no refunds. We had already left though. I now see why this home has no reviews as the owner simply just gets another property manager to list the unit but doesn’t pay them to work if there’s a holiday. We will never be staying in another VRBO again and are very disappointed and traumatized by the whole experience.

The guests in the above review attempted to receive a significant reduction in the cost of their stay by making exaggerated and false claims against us. We pride ourselves on exceptional client service and care and we have happy guests all the time. It is unfortunate as hosts that we sometimes have to deal with guests who make the hosting job very difficult, even when all is done to please them. Hoping everyone has safe travels wherever they may go!
