It was great to be in easy contact with the owner. Great place and great stay. Hard to emphasize how nice it was to be in walking distance to the bluffs overlooking the ocean, the beach itself, and also places to shop and eat!

The property was adequate for a gals trip, conveniently located to beaches, shopping and restaurants. Furnishings a bit dated and dark. We didn’t spend much time there, as we were exploring. A great price for a 4 bedroom.

This was a perfect space for our family. Lots of space to gather both inside and out. We made use of the grill and loved the pool table! We were able to walk to the beach and there are multiple restaurants, grocery stores, CVS within walking distance as well. Neighborhood is good-quiet and safe. Would highly recommend!

Stayed here for a wedding. Very comfortable for 7 of us. House was clean. The pool table was a hit in the garage as the weather was beautiful the first weekend in March. The walk and the trek down the stairs to the ocean was worth it.

Mesa house

Great sized home in perfect location. Well stocked and close to the beach, and downtown and shops. Perfect for our group. Would stay again!

The house was perfect for our family of 7 and 2 babies. It was very spacious! It exceeded our expectations. The extra room/garage further added to the feel of the house having a lot of space. The location is perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would def stay here again if and when in Sb again!

Family celebration and getaway

La Mesa House is in a great location to explore and enjoy Santa Barbara. It was clean and comfortable and my family and I, 6 adults, felt right at home on our weekend away together. We will definitely be back again.

Absolutely wonderful 24 hours in this lovely home perfect for our family gathering celebrating a milestone birthday. The pool table in the garage was such a wonderful feature. Easy to walk to coffee and grocery store. Beautiful location quiet neighborhood excellent stay! David was a responsive host via text and we appreciated his quick communication when we had questions!

Affordable Santa Barbara beachside

A nice, affordable, closer to the beaches large (8 person) property in Santa Barbara. Lot cheaper than a Marriott courtyard but as good or better. Very responsive host.

Great neighborhood!

The house was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. The neighborhood has everything you need with grocery stores, convenience stores, restaurants all within walking distance. Also super close to state street. Highly recommend!

HI, we have 3 homes in Santa Barbara, and the other 2 are from 1905. Original Craftsmen places and so this 1986 home on the Mesa is large and 'modern' to us. But that can be relative, of course! And we do love our original turn of the century homes, but also this spacious place nearer to the ocean. We do hope to see you again and thanks, David

Graduation ceremony

Close to the community college, walking distance to groceries and restaurants. The home is welcoming, clean and we loved our stay. We brought our dogs and the home was exactly what we needed.

Great location, comfortable for large family/multi couples

We stayed two great nights at the Mesa house. Loved its walkability to the Mesa steps and beach as well as restaurants and grocery/drug stores. Backyard was pleasant, too. We enjoyed gathering around the kitchen table as we always do :) While we didn’t cook there we noted the well stocked kitchen. Eight minute drive to downtown!
