Welcome to The Retreat! We are Rowland and Michelle, a couple passionate about good food, drinks,travel and family. Born and Bred in Coffs Harbour, we have always been drawn to the ocean. Michelle is a lover of all things eccentric and has so much time for her many grandchildren. Rowland is all things music and entertainment and loves to surround himself with their large family. In our free time, we bush-walk, travel,make fires and dine out. We both enjoy connecting with new people and sharing stories, and we're sincerely happy to host you. In our travels, we have realized the place you stay can make or break the experience. Our goal is to make your experience, so please let us know if there is anything we can do to make that better.

Beautiful beaches and Boambee reserve perfect for family outings are located only 6 minutes away with Coffs Airport only 10 minutes drive. Beaches of Boambee and Sawtell are only minutes away, and a quick 7 minutes to the regional jet airport, Coffs Harbour town centre or the International stadium. A local shopping centre is located only 5 minutes away. And for the wildlife and birdlife, Amazing! We are home to reef and game fishing, white-water rafting and stunning rainforests waiting to be explored. Beautiful beaches are linked by impressive headlands and offer magical coastline views. From the Pacific Ocean to lush subtropical rainforests, there are plenty of outdoor activities such as bushwalking, horse riding, scuba diving, swimming, surfing and snorkelling. Coffs has great shopping, restaurants and favourite attractions like the famous Big Banana, Dolphin Marine Magic, Butterfly House, go-karting and more. A visit to Coffs Harbour is not complete without a dip in the ocean, try the popular Park Beach, Boambee Beach and Jetty Beach with its breakwall providing calm swimming conditions. If you're looking for a surf try Diggers, Campbells, Sapphire,Moonee, Shelley, Emerald, Fiddamans and Sandy Beach. Between late May and early November, thousands of humpback whales migrate north to breed in warmer waters. Catch a cruise from the Coffs Harbour International Marina for a few hours of whale watching out at sea and get a close look at these amazing creatures while at the same time usually seeing a few playful dolphins. Enjoy a dolphin watching cruise throughout summer and all year-round visitors are able to play with dolphins at Dolphin Marine Magic. Snorkelling is possible in many locations along the expansive coastline and superbdive sites are just a short boat ride away. Swim alongside a wide variety of creatures including turtles and tropical fish.
