Luxury chalet in Alpe d'Huez at the foot of the slopes, close to shops

For your ski holidays or even for the summer season, come and stay at Chalet les Marmottes in Alpe d'Huez (Isère - 38).

This beautiful fully renovated individual chalet can accommodate 10 people.

The view of the mountain range is magnificent, the chalet overlooks the resort, you will benefit from it thanks to the south-facing terrace, for your lunches between 2 pistes or during après ski.

▬ The Station & shops ▬
The center of the station is 5 minutes walk from the chalet, so you will not use your car of the week, everything is nearby.

▬ Skiing ▬
The "signal" tracks are located on the back of the chalet.

To access the slopes, several solutions:
1- You can descend the 3 series of stairs, leading from the chalet to the Route du Signal and go up 150 meters, at the Hôtel les Grandes Rousses, then take the telecentre which will take you to the roundabout of the slopes. Leaving the chalet, you will then arrive at the roundabout of the slopes in 10 minutes.

2- You can go back to the back of the chalet for about 30 meters. Once on the return skier leading to Huez, you can reach the Grande Sure ski lift.
This arrives at the top of the Signal and you can start skiing. From the chalet to the Grande Sure ski lift, you need less than 5 minutes.

You will reach the chalet, at the end of your day, directly by ski. You will take off your shoes at the front door.

Back at the chalet, enjoy the sauna and the fireplace (wood provided, subject to stock), before the traditional raclette and fondue!

This 126m² chalet consists of:
- 4 bedrooms
- 1 bathroom
- 2 shower rooms
- 2 separate toilets
- 2 mezzanines
- 1 living room
- 1 kitchen
- 1 veranda with ski cupboard
- 1 sauna
- 1 terrace

It is fully equipped: dishwasher, 2 refrigerators, freezer, microwave, oven, washing machine, 2 flat screens, wifi, stereo, 2 umbrella beds for children and a high chair.

End of stay cleaning included.
The household linen is provided, including:
- 3 kits for 2 people (bed linen and towels)
- 4 kits for 1 person (bed linen and towels)
- Bath mats and tea towels adapted in quantity

We provide 2 parking spaces, private and covered, about 300 meters from the chalet.

Access to the chalet: 3 staircases - 50 steps.

Deposit of 1000 € (by bank transfer).
A personalized rental contract will be established.

A hidden chalet gem

Just returned from an amazing week at Chalet Les Marmottes in Alpe D. Having had the holiday cancelled in April 20 due to the pandemic, we were excited to finally get to the Chalet. The listing is very accurate, pictures true and the communication with the owner and chalet manager easy, quick and incredibly help. We were made very welcome and no question was left unanswered. The chalet was perfect for 8 - 2 families (adults and teenagers), spotlessly clean and pleanty of hot water. It provided all mod cons and supported a week of full-on self-catering; it even had a Kenwood mixer and blender. Two indoor parking spaces, 5 mins walk away, kept our cars safe for the week and from 3 nights of snow; just ask Chalet Manager for details of where to find passes/spaces. Great, quiet location, 5 mins walk from supermarket and baker plus 3-4 mins from yoghurt pots up to main piste area. The only tiny blip was the 3 flights of steps to and from the chalet but details are clear in the listing and we all got used to taking our ski equipment up and down in ski boots. Also with good snow, ski back to chalet is very possible! Overall, we loved this home from home and very reluctantly highly recommend. We hope to return.

Superbe châlet

Le châlet de Julien est très agréable, avec une belle terrasse ensoleillée offrant une belle vue. Le sauna est un vrai plus, ainsi que les 3 sdb. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour au chalet. Julien a part ailleurs été très disponible avant et pendant le séjour pour répondre à nos questions, et nous a même renvoyé un objet oublié après notre départ. Un grand merci a lui.

Amazing week in this chalet

We had a wonderful experience in the chalet, with family and friends, the chalet is spacious and met our needs completely. Only a short walk up onto the slope for intermediate skiers and upwards, for novices only a short 10 min walk to lift, to main slopes and magic carpet. We had exceptional weather here, lots of snow but bright sunshine, lovely to sit on balcony to catch the rays, and watch the sun go down. Very quiet location too, with shops only 10 min walk with a large supermarket selling majority of amenities, also ski shops and a few ski rental options on your doorstop. If you want a break from skiing you also have a outdoor swimming pool only a short walk away and crazy golf, also a fun slope for kids on toboggan's. We loved this place so much, we came straight home and booked for 2021. Any problems with the chalet (if at all) then you have a number to call and they are literally on your doorstep helping out. Thank you for such a great experience.

Le chalet a été bon pour notre groupe familiale.

En géneral, bien apprécié (avec le sauna!) . Cuisine bien équipée, mais un peu coincée (pour cuisiner le repas de Noël L'acces est un peu difficile en périodes de neige persistante, mais on ne peut pas déplacer le chalet!

Excellent séjour au Chalet Les Marmottes

Tout le monde était très content de son séjour et de son installation dans le chalet (8 adultes et 2 petits enfants) . L'organisation du chalet sur 3 niveaux permet à chacun d'avoir des moments de tranquilité Le Sauna et la cheminée ont été appréciés pour profiter des soirées et de l'après ski Le chalet est très bien équipé et situé bien au calme tout en étant proche de tout. Personne n’a soulevé de manque particulier et le propriétaire nous a fourni avant le séjour tous les renseignements nécessaires pour faciliter notre installation et profiter au plus vite de cette semaine de sports d'hiver. Nous avons apprécié en particulier les barrières de protection devant tous les escaliers ce qui permettaient de laisser circuler notre petit fils de 2 ans sans stress. M et Mme Saulnier, qui nous ont accueilli, ont été disponibles et charmants. On vous recommandera et/ou on reviendra ! Merci pour tout

Perfect for our group of two families

The chalet is in an excellent location for the slopes. Plenty of room, very nice facilities and all in great condition. Very well equipped kitchen. The mezzanine floor with TV and futons was great for the kids, with adults in the lounge area downstairs. Quite a few steps up from the road - this wasn't a problem for us, but worth noting if you have anyone with limited mobility in the group.

Nice family chalet in great location for town and ski slopes

Our group of 10 had a wonderful stay in this chalet. Location was ideal for the slopes, near the "yoghurt pots" that take you to the main lifts, but we usually walked (less than 10 mins). Restaurants and bars just a short walk away. Parking provided in local underground parking. Bedrooms and bathrooms were all clean, modern and very well maintained. Nice veranda where we sat outside and soaked up the sunny afternoons looking out to the mountains. Kitchen not as modern (dishwasher and sink probably need replacing) but still fine for our needs with hob, fridge and oven. There are 3 flights of steep steps up to the chalet when you are bringing your luggage in and out but we would not say this was a major problem. Owner was very responsive to our emails. We would certainly return.

Chalet confortable, bien aménagée avec belle vue

Beau chalet bien aménagé avec superbe vue sur les montagnes et en proximité directe (300 m) du centre de l'Alpe d'Huez. Au niveau aménagement intérieur, 70% du chalet refait dans un beau style alpin bois clair très chaleureux et cosi. Il restera à moderniser le Salon et la cuisine qui restent très fonctionnels et adaptés à recevoir de grandes familles (nous étions 10). Un petit bémol, l'accès au chalet depuis la route par 3 escaliers consécutifs, peu pratique avec des skis surtout pour des enfants. Retour à ski possible direct sur le chalet par le haut. Je recommanderai néanmoins cette location ayant passé un excellent sejour et ayant trouvé un propriétaire nous ayant aider à passer un bon sejour ( négociation prix pour location de ski)

TRES BEAU CHALET

Un peu déçus au début à cause du manque de neige, nous espérions rentrés au chalet à skis, mais le chalet est très confortable et la terrasse magnifique et comme le soleil était présent tout les jours nous en avons bien profité. Et la vue est splendide ! Seule petite chose les escaliers auraient besoin d'être éclairés pour la nuit !

Excellent Séjour !

Super séjour dans ce chalet durant cet été. Il est bien placé car prés des commerces et du centre-ville en 5 Min à pied (Boulangerie, Fromagerie ! , Supermarché ...) au meilleur coté de la station. Les meilleurs restaurants aussi sont proches. Le chalet a une vue vraiement bluffante, on domine la station avec la sensation d'être au vert ! une vue 180° sur les montagnes. C'est rare pour le souligner ;) L' équipement est vraiement au top, la cuisine est trés bien équipée pour une famille nombreuse et inviter des amis (robot cuisine, appareil fondue, raclette ...). Le confort est au rendez vous, 3 Salles de bains, Sauna, Mezzanine - Salle de jeux pour les enfants, TV pour la console. Merci pour les prestations de qualité (serviette, drap, accueil) et la propreté global du chalet. Je recommande fortement.

Chalet très convivial et très pratique

le chalet est très bien conçu à tout point de vue. la proximité à la fois des pistes et du centre de la station est très appréciable. le chalet est doté d'une pièce ou les affaires de ski peuvent être laissées les 3 salles de bains sont toutes neuves sans parler du sauna qui est très agréable en résumé, je recommande ce chalet et j'y reviendrai !

Le chalet est idéalement situé, au coeur de la station avec tous les avantages. Ainsi le départ et l'arrivée en ski se font directement du chalet. La terrasse permet de profiter du panorama et du soleil. L'intérieur est spacieux et très agréable à vivre. Tout le nécessaire est disponible pour un séjour à la montagne entre amis ou en famille. Je recommande.

Très bon séjour

J'ai passé un excellent séjour dans ce chalet à l'Alpe d'Huez. Cette location est vraiment confortable et idéalement positionnée dans le village (3 minutes du centre ville). On y trouve tout l'équipement nécessaire pour un long séjour. La cuisine est très bien équipée, le salon est convivial et les lits sont confortables. De plus la véranda est très pratique quand on rentre du sport d'hiver. Le propriétaire est quelqu'un de fort sympathique. Je recommanderai cette location à mes amis.
