Spacious and private. A newly renovated 1940's ''Old Florida'' tropical paradise, with large yard, heated pool, ample parking with EVcharging. Beautifully restored with bamboo flooring, large open plan that draws you out immediately to a large fenced-in oasis with pool and cabana bath. A large eat in kitchen surrounded by light bright windows has new appliances and cabinetry, and offers eating options as well as separate dining for 10. Has 2 living room / seating areas, one a "media room" with flat screen tv, the other a Florida Room directly adjacent to pool. House has high speed internet/wifi and cable tv. All bedrooms have new, best quality mattresses, large closets and dressers. 3 of 4 bedrooms have Vizio 4k flat screen tv's. Master bedroom also has walk in closet and private bath. Mother-in-law suite has en-suite bath, mini-kitchen and separate entrance. Renovated bathrooms have ultra modern design and oversized showers.

Situated near East Ocean Avenue , and 1/2 block from the intracostal waterway, the house is a spectacular 5 minute bike ride to the beach.

What we love about our house is how quiet and peaceful the block is, how bright and visible the night sky is from our big backyard when we have cookouts, how the light from the pool and surrounding gardens illuminate the interior spaces of the house at night.

The bedrooms are designed to accommodate a household of 10, but can fit more if needed. Three of its 4 bedrooms have queen-sized beds and one bedroom has 2 full-sized (double) beds. There are also 2 queen and two twin futons in the LR, and in the Florida room, which can be used as a 5th bedroom if needed.

The kitchen is newly renovated and fully equipped.

The area is world famous for its golf and for its beaches, and generally, has a lot to offer... lots of restaurants and services and things to do. Biking from the house, guests could enjoy an afternoon of golf, fishing, swimming and sunning on some of the world's most gorgeous beaches, or watching the sunset off the balcony of a waterfront seafood shack with live music.
You can also spend a day away and access attractions like Disneyland and the Everglades.

Family Vacation - July '23

Overall, a great stay. The location was ideal for us in celebrating the 4th of July, with restaurants, bars and fireworks within walking distance. BTW - fishing charters, coffee and tennis are all close. The owner was extremely helpful before and during our stay with recommendations and very responsive and helpful with issues that arose during our stay.

Much needed getaway

Enjoyed our stay here very much! 5 min drive to public beach and A1A. Backyard and pool were private. Neighborhood is quiet. Great showers throughout the house. All 4 of our teenagers had their own bed. Great stay!

A well equipped kitchen, comfortable living space and plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms. The pool has large palm trees which provided privacy. Enjoyed walking to the nearby parks and drinks/dinner live music at the Key Lime.

Paradise in a quiet neighborhood

The house itself is perfect for large groups or families. There was plenty of room for us(10 people) and we never felt on top of each other. We went exploring all over south florida but it was nice to come back to the quiet neighborhood where this house is located. The kitchen was well stocked with all the utensils and cutlery needed. The pool was probably the best part of the entire stay and we spent alot of time out by the pool!

This is a great rental if you're looking for a well furnished, clean, updated home with plenty of space. It has everything you need during your stay. We especially loved the bathroom spaces. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood that's close to everything, but off the beaten path. The back yard has an older pool that is wonderfully private; just be aware there are cameras in the patio/pool area & above the carport door entrance. We would definitely recommend !

Family Getaway

The house & location are perfect for multiple day trips or if you just want to chill by a pool. The house is roomy & comfortable. There were 8 of us & we never felt crowded. Beds are comfortable & firm. The neighborhood is very quiet. The outside grill is electric & takes a while to warm up for cooking, but once hot, it does good. I would choose this house again in the future .

Great location

The house fit our needs. The only disappointment was that the pool wasn’t heated. The weather was cool so it never got warm enough to use. I admit I will be more careful to look for heated pool in the future. The neighborhood is nice and peaceful and within easy walking to restaurants and the beach. A few things were broken in the house but didn’t interfere with our stay.

Lovely home

This stay got off to a bit of a rocky start as the home had not been cleaned when we arrived. We contacted the owner and she arranged for the cleaners to come the next day so our first night there was not how we would’ve hoped to start our time. The home does not provide shampoo so we had to purchase it as well as soap for the laundry facility. Once we got all of these things in place, though, we settled in and loved the home, pool and surroundings. It turned out to be a great place for us After the initial challenges.

The property was as described. It's an older home that's been totally updated inside. Newer bamboo flooring, new appliances, new bathrooms, newer furniture, etc. There are 4 bathrooms inside the house and another in the pool house. There are also 4 bedrooms, two living areas, a dining room and a kitchen. The place was more than adequate for our family of 5. The location is great, local restaurants and beach within walking distances (the beach is about 1.2 miles). Our favorite part about the stay was the backyard and pool which was totally private. Would definitely recommend this place.

Floridian house

Nice property in quiet neighborhood, great for a large party/family….. plenty of room!. For the owner, eastern most shower does not get hot enough need to have plumber adjust the mixer a bit, western most shower was great! Eastern most toilet is loose and needs to be tightened to floor as it wiggles a bit, also having the landscapers come at 830 Monday morning is not optimal( seems like they do most of the street) otherwise would rent again….also kitchen sink would never get hot had to do dishes with cold water.

Thanks Cliff. Because of the way the house is laid out, it can take a few minutes when you first enter the house, and first thing in the morning, for the hot water to travel from the far W end of the house where the tank is, to the bathroom and kitchen at the far E end. Our last guest managed to damage the toilet you mentioned, (and possibly also that shower ?) and we just had it replaced with a brand new one just before your arrival, so I will alert the plumbers it is wiggly... and that they should have a look at those shower valves too. I do hope you will book again, and appreciate how nicely you left the property !

Some family time-

We were in town for a family wedding. The layout of this house was perfect for our family.There was lots of space for all. The eating area had room for everyone, kitchen very nicely furnished and the living space permitted some to enjoy socializing while others could enjoy using the tv area. We really appreciated the beautiful pool area too. Had an issue with the WiFi and the owner had it fixed immediately. Noticed a crack in one of the pipes on pool filter and it was fixed the same day. Great effort by owner to make sure all is ok. Close to stores and park close by for kids. Easy walk to intercoastal waterway and some activity.

Old Florida Charm

The home is charming…from the layout to the light fixtures to the Florida room. I occupied the property for a little over 3 weeks, with several different groups of friends visiting. There were seven of us at one point and we were not crowded. Two bedrooms share a bath, and two bedrooms have private baths. The bedrooms and living areas are spacious. We found everything we needed in the kitchen, and there were plenty of towels and beach towels. Do bring soaps and shampoos, laundry detergents, and dish washer pods. Any and all issues were handled in a timely manner by the owner. The backyard patio and pool area is deceptively private. Glorious 3 weeks in Lantana!0

Nice Home, problematic Owner

The home was fine, listing accurate— cute 1950s Florida Home. If someone is coming with dogs, they should be aware that the fence in back may not contain a small dog, as there are some breaks in the fence. The owner was very concerned about dog hair, although a vacuum was not provided with which to clean up the hair. Ultimately owner provided a mini shop vac and did not understand how this would not work for vacuuming floors. Owner became quite insistent that we go to Home Depot to purchase an attachment (at her expense) and was upset when we refused to do this. This became such an issue we contacted Vrbo twice. As we always do, we left the house in excellent condition with as much dog hair as possible cleaned up and we have photos to document this. Most likely, without a dog, the situation would not be difficult.

Awesome stay at Barb's

We stayed at Barbara's for winter break . The place for perfect for 2 families with kids. The pool guy came to clean the pool as soon as we checked in and the water was perfect. We had a small issue with bed sheets and Barb took care of it right away. We enjoyed our stay at her place and would definitely come back sometime.

We rented this home so we could be close to a wedding venue. There is plenty of room for a larger group. The kitchen is well appointed and there are plenty of stores nearby to get what you need. The pool was perfect and refreshing! The property owner communicates well.

Why they chose this property

I had a sentimental interest in Palm Beach because my parents lived there "during the war" and I had heard stories about it. I was stunned by its enormous natural beauty. This neighborhood was unique because it has maintained its "old Florida" charm. The house itself had a big open warmth to it, and it just felt like a great place for my family and friends to gather and relax. I loved that it was an authentic, original ranch-style beach house with a sprawling open floor plan, and lots of sun pouring in, and that it had a large yard and mature trees and plantings... and that it turned out to be built in 1948, which was during the time my parents spent there. I was taken too by how quiet the street was, and by how private the property felt. I also appreciated that most of the houses and trees in the neighborhood were still originals from the 1940's, and that they were being so nicely cared for.

What makes this property unique

what I like about the area in general:
Nature is everywhere.
There is a beach nearby where you can park your car, and come and go as you please.
WPI airport is insanely convenient.
There are gorgeous scenic drives to most places I want to go, which includes many other great beaches and nature trips.
Most days, what I need can be done on foot or by bicycle.
Almost anything you can find only in a major city, I can find in Palm Beach or West Palm.
If you are a serious foodie, this general area has great authentic ethnic foods. My latest discoveries: Haitian seafood stews, Cuban coffees and hot weather drinks.

what I like about this house in particular:
- you can have a swim in the morning, or enjoy your coffee or tea literally floating in the sunshine
- the house is spacious, with different nooks and crannies, and it can accommodate a range of activities simultaneously, with many places where people can gather, or sit and eat together, as well as places for quiet reading, working or siesta-ing.
- I have furnished it so it is possible to create additional seating, and work areas as needed.
