Very quiet lake—great for fishing and swimming. The cottage has 1 bedroom and 1 pull-out couch, which worked well for us.It would be even better if the deck were made sturdier, and if the water toys were replaced or better maintained, as they’re quite worn out.
Wonderful little cottage for what we wanted- a weekend away. Kitchen was excellently stocked with good pots and pans, knives, spices, coffee maker, dishwasher--- everything you need to make all your meals and it not feel like camping. The view was outstanding and made our stay worth it. One day was rainy and I wish the indoor furniture (couch) faced the stunning windows so we could enjoy the view of the storm over the lake. I also wish for more relaxing seating on the deck to enjoy the view and we needed bedside lamps for reading.Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay here. The bed is comfortable, the shower was lovely. We appreciated a little bit of firewood left out for us and lighters in the drawer because we totally forgot to plan for this. We enjoyed a nice evening fire, so thank you.
My boyfriend and I stayed for 2 nights, great little getaway! Everything was as described online, host answers quickly if you have questions. Firepit and scenery, lakeview were the higlhight of our stay. We would definitely come back!
The kitchen was fully equipped for cooking. The property was very clean and it is pet friendly. The communication with the host was excellent. Overall it was a pleasant experience
Exactly as described. Very quiet, perfect amount of space for two people. The deck was huge and overlooks the lake - very peaceful, patio table to sit and eat at. Full kitchen, nice hot water. Town was a short drive away. The mosquitoes are bad at night (expected), bring bug spray.
Do not stay here. Property is not prepared for emergency, and the host is an irresponsible operator. The July 1st storm cut all power and water off to the property with no back-up available. Downed branches also blocked the road out of the property. We were denied a refund for this terrible experience. Avoid host at all cost.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand how disappointing it was to have your stay disrupted by the unprecedented July 1 storm.
Unfortunately, this was a widespread natural disaster that caused extended power outages across the Sharbot Lake region and was entirely outside the control of homeowners. Hydro crews worked continuously for several days to restore service.
Throughout the outage, we remained in regular contact, providing Hydro's restoration updates every few hours so you could make informed decisions. You remained at the property for the second night despite the ongoing outage.
Regarding your request for a refund, we asked that it be submitted through VRBO's resolution process so it could be handled appropriately. No request was subsequently filed through the platform.
We sincerely regret that your vacation was affected by this exceptional event. While we strive to provide every guest with a wonderful experience, no property can prevent or control a region-wide utility outage caused by a major storm.
The place was very clean and have all the amenities we could possibly need. The bed was comfortable and the cottage is as quiet as everyone says. We enjoyed day trips out to Sharbot Lake and to Westport. Perfect for a couple.
Cottage had lovely views. Bed was comfy. Not a chefs kitchen but had most of what you need. The only thing I wished it had was a table and chairs inside for dining. Very pretty spot.
We had an amazing and relaxing time. The property is beautiful and everything was very clean and well stocked. Communication with the host was excellent and very fast.We very much needed a break from our busy and stressful lives, and this place delivered in a big way. Already looking forward to coming back.
The property has everything you need. It was clean and very functional. Plenty of amenities. Huge fridge (awesome), stove, coffee maker, microwave and even a dishwasher. You really don’t need to pack a thing other than food & clothing. If you are missing anything - the store is only 8 minutes away. We appreciated the responsiveness of the host as well as things such as the excellent WiFi. Some of the toys were less than ideal. The kayak has a crack in it - so didn’t risk using it, 2 of the bikes had flat tires, the hot tub was non-functional. The paddle boat was fine and so were the SUP boards. We used both. However the dock is tiny and is very wobbly - so not ideal. The fire pit area is steep and difficult to find a decent spot to sit. The terrain itself is pretty steep - so if you have mobility issues, this may not be the one for you. Apart from that - the views are amazing. It’s in a quiet corner of the small lake. Overall it was a very nice stay.
We enjoyed a nice time and the visiting chickens were fun. Close to the trail for walking.
