Great place to stay with extended family. Had everything you would need for a few days. The fireplace was a bonus. Just needed to get wood from Bunnings as we booked in September.Lots of room for all. Close to sightseeing. Wentworth Falls walks, Scenic World, Echo Point and walks, Leura village. Lots that we didnt do.. Will be back again.
The location of the property was perfect for the event we were attending. The house is very spacious, perhaps larger than it looks on the website, and could easily accommodate a large group without being on top of each other. Our small group enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable.

Great House for groups or couples, room to spread out and be together for meals etc.
Great location, clean and comfortable.
Photos were accurate, check in instructions easy to follow and beds were comfortable.
We loved the size of the house and the big kitchen and dining area. Firepit was great too. Internet was slow so projector couldn't connect to streaming services.
Wendy and Wayne have thought of everything. The property is exceptionally fitted out and decorated. Everything you could need and more for a weekend away. The place is huge with multiple living areas, a fireplace and very generously sized bedrooms. Our new favourite place in the Blue Mountains.

The house was amazing there were 13 of us more than enough room for all of us. Kitchen was well stocked. Plenty of heating with a beautiful fire. Beds were really comfy. Location was absolutely perfect close to the 3 sisters and the Main Street both in walking distance. The owners were prompt and efficient with their correspondence. We will certainly stay there again. Thank you.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, so much space to cater for two families. Everything was thought of with modern updates to the house - a beautiful home and so close to local cafes and shops.
Was a cold and damp weekend so the cozy wood fire was very much appreciated - so many heating options!
We thoroughly enjoyed the complimentary grazing box provided upon arrival. We just wish we had added another day to our stay.
Thank you Wendy and Ying.

Thank you for your feedback.
We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the hot water issue during your stay. This was an unexpected fault, and we acted promptly to investigate and resolve it. We’re pleased to confirm that both hot water systems have now been fully repaired and are working properly.
As a gesture of goodwill, we offered a complimentary late check-out to provide additional comfort and flexibility. While we understand this may not have met your expectations, this was the most appropriate compensation we could offer at the time.
We always aim to communicate clearly and support our guests throughout their stay. However, we do find it challenging when conversations become difficult, and we appreciate respectful communication on both sides.
Our property is in a convenient location and is equipped with a wide range of facilities, which many of our guests have enjoyed and found to be great value for money. We remain committed to maintaining high standards and continuously improving the guest experience.
Kind regards,
Wendy & team
We had a great weekend at Waratah House. The house was large enough for our group of 8 adults/6 kids to enjoy and not be on top each other.
The bunk room with projector & screen was a hit with the kids!
The house is right in the heart of Katoomba. Easy walk to the shops and close to the 3 Sisters and Leura Cascades if bushwalking is your thing.
There was a small issue on check-in, in that the previous guests hadn't put out the garbage bins so they were full, but it was very easy to contact Wendy and the issue was sorted out quickly.
Would recommend for a large family/friend group for a great stay in the mountains. We'll be back!
A perfect spot to stay for our 3x couples attending the recent Blues Festival. The house is large and has plenty of room to prepare food, dine at the long bench table and relax on the modular lounge. 2 off road car spaces. Marked down the review in cleanliness due to dozens of dead flies, spiderwebs and the dryer filter having a huge build up of fluff. Contacted the owners re the flies who responded quickly to say they would look into this. Apart from this we were very happy and would stay here again.

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for choosing to stay with us during the Blues Festival! We’re so glad to hear the home was a great fit for your group and that you enjoyed the space, especially the dining area and lounge.
We appreciate you bringing the cleanliness issues to our attention. Since your stay, the spiderwebs have been thoroughly to ensure a higher standard moving forward.
We had a lovely time and loved the house and location. The only comments we had was there didn’t seem to be enough towels, especially a lack of hand towels, for our group. Also we were surprised about the $80 charge for the little dog that stayed one night. It may have been mentioned in your listing and we missed it. Just though pet friendly wouldn’t have include such a high fee in a listing. Thanks

Thank you for your feedback and kind words about the house and location. We're glad you had a lovely time.
Regarding the pet fee, it is disclosed in our listing, as most properties in the Blue Mountains are not pet-friendly. We strive to ensure both you and your furry friends enjoy your holiday.
We apologize for the inconvenience with the towels. We typically prepare towels based on the total number of guests, but we'll make sure to provide more hand towels in the future.
With regards wendy
Great property a short walk to restaurants / brewery / cafes. House was brilliantly setup - bedrooms were all spacious with excellent beds and quality linen. Kitchen was a highlight, well fit out with everything you need to cook a feast.
Heating was brilliant once we read the instructions - especially given the unseasonably cold weather.
Only very minor complaints (nit picking really)
1 - cleaning items like a broom/dustpan that weren’t for the fireplace would have been useful.
2 - TV did not seem to have an aerial (or we may have been using it incorrectly), which meant everything had to be streamed, the house wifi had poor signal due to the distance to the router/modem so we had to hot spot to our phones to stream anything reliably. Granted there was a projector setup near the router - but away from the main living area so was not used.
Otherwise an excellent setup and we would definitely stay again!
