Peaceful, cozy, rustic

Beautiful spot. Well maintained traditional old family cottage. Everything you need. Beach is perfect. There are a little over 100 stairs down to the beach, but don't worry -- they are very well built, and on the way there are multiple landings with benches and views and a perfect little sunset deck above the beach. Top notch customer service and communication.

Stunning views. The cabin is quite cabin-y, so if you’re looking for luxury, perhaps not for you. But the hosts made the absolute best of it, offering little welcome gifts (coffee, s’mores kit) that were thoughtful and lovely. We paid extra for linens and it’s very worth it. Towels were new and fluffy, bed had layers to peel/add to suit. The lake is the lake - it’s gorgeous, temperamental, stony with sandy bits (the beach is sand ‘til the water’s edge), but the temperature was perfect for me. Very well situated between towns. Barbecue was a bit temperamental, but we got it going except one evening when it was super windy… and we’re not idiots - we tried a lot of stuff - but at the end of the day, nbd. But the starter button isn’t working, so make sure you have matches or a lighter.

Beautiful sunsets- Jervis Bay

We had a great 10 days at Jervis Bay- the view is amazing from either the top of the stairs or down on the Sunset Deck Very nice sandy beach, and after about the first 3 feet of rocks going into the water, all sandy again. Lots of chairs to choose a location and relax The cottage is rustic but cozy. We’ll equipped for our stay.

Rustic Beauty

The view at Jervis Bay is stunning. The blue of the water rivals the Carribean and on a calm, sunny day it is so clear you can see the boulders standing on the bottom from the top of the property. The beach is quiet, peaceful and makes for great swimming. Combination of sand and stone but with a pair of water shoes, totally easy to enter and get around. You do get a workout making your way up and down the 80-90 steps but plenty of places to pause for a rest along the way. If you plan ahead and pack a cooler bag to bring down with you, you can minimize the trips too! We used that and had a couple lunches/snacks on the sunset deck too. The cottage gets a lovely breeze with the windows open and the ceiling fan and you can hear the waves crashing below. The beds are super comfy, the area is quiet and the birds act as a natural alarm clock. The outdoor shower does the job - and is handy if you need to rinse your pooch after a sandy romp on the beach. A great long weekend away, Jervis Bay was the perfect size for a couple and our dog.

I cannot say enough about our hosts and this property. Communication from our hosts was top notch, ensuring we knew how to find the property, clear check-in and checkout instructions, asking if there was anything we needed, recommending things to do around the area, and even personalizing our welcome card. From the moment we stepped out of the car, we could hear the waves of beautiful lake Huron crashing against the shore. This charming, historic, rustic cabin was perfect for a weekend getaway. Our late night beachy bonfire was incredible, we saw the sun set over lake Huron, AND saw the moon set over the lake, which I have never seen before, it was SO cool. The stars at night were breathtaking, and this property was a rock hunters dream! Within minutes of stepping on the beach, I found two beautiful Petoskey stones. We loved reading about the history of the cabin and enjoying all the nautical decor. The cabin was equipped with anything we could need, from coffee, games, and movies, to mosquito spray and a lighter for a beach bonfire. The fall decorations were adorable and you could tell they were freshly placed, which made our experience feel very personalized. You can truly feel how much our hosts enjoy and value the guests experience. I'd love to visit again, it was the perfect birthday getaway weekend. Not to mention all the adorable little cities nearby, each with their own charm, AMAZING food, lakeside views, and unmatched hospitality. Thank you for a wonderful stay!!!

Amazing sunset views

Jervis Bay was a quaint little cottage with the most magnificent views! It had everything you needed to make your stay enjoyable. A perfect spot for one or two couples and a pup . Loved that we had our own beach access and beach to take our dog . Quinn loved running on the beach chasing sticks . She even made a friend that lives near by. There were many steps to the beach but I loved that I got my workouts in , plus the landings really helped if you needed a break . There is a lovely lookout spot closer to the beach with table and chairs and plexiglass to block the wind if it's a windy day ! My husband and I and Quinn had a amazing two weeks at Jervis Bay , and highly recommend it. I love a cottage that's a cottage so it was perfect for me !!
