Surfside/Garden City Beaches are the perfect location for a family vacation or getaway with friends! Regardless of the reason, the South Strand area is far enough from the traffic and crowds, but still, a short drive to the wide variety of attractions, shopping, dining, and entertainment the Grand Strand has to offer. The Brand new Surfside Beach pier, restaurants and shops are a few blocks south from this property. Luxury shopping and dining are a few minutes north in the Market Commons area. Just a short drive north are all the attractions and shopping of Myrtle Beach, Broadway at the Beach, Coastal Grand shopping center, the Myrtle Beach boardwalk, and one of the world's largest Ferris wheels. For a unique cultural experience, Brookgreen Gardens displays one of the world's largest collections of sculpture by American artists in a lush outdoor setting, along with a zoo and butterfly garden, it's just a few minutes south on Business 17. Murrells Inlet is also just a short drive to the south and features the world famous Marsh Walk, with incredible dining and shopping and exciting water activities such as fishing, boating and the ever popular dolphin cruises!- Surfside Beach is the perfect place for a family vacation, peaceful and quiet away from the traffic and crowds.

A host of problems

Location is great, parking is great, but oh so many problems ruined our stay here. Word of caution - read to the end. Power went out within hours of arrival, but there was a tropical storm with high winds that affected the entire area. Automated combination door lock was a constant source of upset and stress. Door would not consistently lock. When it did lock, then it would not unlock. Property Manager did not take our concerns for safety, security, and requests for help seriously until 3 days into our stay and after repeated visits by Maintenance who would pronounce the door lock fixed and blame the issues on a poor choice for the lock type on the owner. Every time we left or came back to the unit, we were stressed out. Not something you want on vacation. Upon arrival, property smelled of mold and was damp. Air quality was awful, our allergies went crazy. Property was not clean - dusty, dead bugs on floors of multiple rooms, vent filters were visibly dirty, (were changed at our request by Maintenance) despite significant cleaning fees. We've vacationed in Surfside Beach for years, and I have never encountered so many issues and then given the impression that reporting concerns to the Property Manager was annoying and not welcomed. It was NOT a good experience and I would NEVER stay here again or in a unit managed by iTrip Vacations.

Hey Janelle - we appreciate you taking the time to leave your review and apologize for the issues you experienced with the lock. We are unsure what the problem was, as every time we came out it worked right away?!? We are glad the "damp" issue was figured out - we know it's tempting to leave the sliding glass door open to watch that beautiful ocean, but the damp/salt air WILL come in and settle on everything.
