Janice is amazing. Met us at the house to go over a few things. Super nice and the place was just perfect for us. The pool table was the highlight of the nights. Very spacious and comfy beds. The place was perfect for day trips to the Hot Springs and with the money saved by not staying at the resort you can go for spa days at the resort instead. Will definitely rent again.

Home is exactly as pictured and described in listing beautiful inside and out..had everything we needed.Stunning lake view, beautiful area to sit and have morning coffee. Perfect for hosting a large group, location is across the road from Ainsworth Hotsprings, took us 2 minutes to walk there, Janice was such an amazing host, will definitely book here again in the near future

Great Family Get Away

This property was just what we needed for a great family get away! The landscape is stunning and the private lake access was fantastic! Our host was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. We will be back!

It seems the peace and joy that this landscape brings is parallel to none. I always find my own time here so restorative. I am glad we were able to share this with you and your beautiful family and that you were able to appreciate the stunning views. It is easy to slip into the water off of the private beach and become immersed in the menagerie of colourful and assorted rocks. Time seems to stand still just sifting through the treasures to be found while watching over the expansive mountain and water views and our little garden of paradise.

Beautiful views of Kootenay Lake! The house was very comfortable for two couples who loved to kayak, swim and hike. The garden was full of plants and flowers. The yard lead to a small beach which was perfect for launching our kayaks. The kitchen was setup well and we cooked most of our meals at the VRBO. Janice was easy to communicate with and she made sure we were familiar with the house, yard and the surrounding areas. Highly recommended!

Amazing relaxing unwind.

Beautiful serene property overlooking the lake with direct access to your own beach which literally has a waterfall running to it creating a calming and grounding experience. Great location, large kitchen, great games room in the basement. Janice is an amazing host and keeps her property grounds immaculate. We will be back!

People really seem to enjoy playing pool in the recreational room and playing many games on the rainy days or evenings such as yourself. The easy access to the beach occupies people for hours just making rock cairns and playing with the small watercraft on hot days.

This rental is beautiful!We had a relaxing time with friends visiting, enjoying the sun, the yard, and the watercraft.Bring ALL your own condiments/extras as we had to purchase salt/pepper, paper towel, and garbage is yours to take away aside from what you recycle. That said, we'd go back in a heart beat and look forward to doing so.

Not our best VRBO experience

Unfortunately this wasn’t our best experience at a VRBO, for a couple of reasons. First the listing of 2 bathrooms is a bit misleading, as it’s just 1 shower, so sharing that among 6 adults was not ideal. Second you should just know the house feels very “lived in”, in terms of personal pictures, clothes in drawers, etc…some may be fine with that, it wasn’t a great fit for us. Third we found the cleanliness to be below the VRBO standard we’ve seen…dirty dishrag in the kitchen, vacuum left out downstairs, cobwebs in downstairs bedroom, etc..no top sheets on beds, so not really sure if duvet covers are being washed each time? Finally just know that nearest store/minimart is 15-20 minutes away, so even though across from Ainsworth Hot Springs “resort” there’s no gas/food there so plan accordingly! Host is friendly and I’m sure these items will be improved.

Thank you for your honest feedback Dave. I am very sorry that this was not one of your best experiences. We take a lot of pride in the care of our property and aim to please. I see the error in my listing regarding the second bathroom. This has now been corrected to reflect that the private on suite downstairs does not have a shower. Many of our guests are here to soak at the hotsprings and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lake views. We absolutely wash our duvets after each and every stay. We are meticulous about this. We have had different feedback about top sheets; some people prefer to not have them wrapped around their ankles at the bottom of the bed. But I understand your point and I am happy to accommodate guest preferences.
