Kootenay Lakehouse is a peaceful and relaxing paradise, awaiting you to stay, explore its surroundings and amazing landscapes, and enjoy one of nature's greatest playgrounds - lakes & mountains!

It is near Kokanee Creek Provincial Park, located in the Selkirk Mountain Slocan Range and bordering the West Arm of Kootenay Lake, 25 minutes from central Nelson, 3 minutes to Balfour Ferry Terminal, 6 minutes to Balfour Golf Course and 15 minutes to Ainsworth Hot Springs on Hwy 3A, Nelson, BC, Canada.

(*Upgraded wifi speed since 2022. Please kindly note we currently do weekly booking(s) from "Saturdays to Saturdays" due to our housekeeping availability/scheduling in peak season July & August. We do 3 nights minimum stay during low season. We have firm policies on "no pets/service animals/smoking/drugs/event/unregistered guests" for our guests' healthy and safety considerations.)

ABOUT US:

Our Cottage (with Red roof, 600 sqft) is located on 4 acres flat land with 680ft of private beach beside our Lakehouse and the bay, a private boat dock, large deck, picnic table & firepit surrounded by trees between our Lakehouse and Cottage providing you private mountain lake view, beach & abundant privacy.

*Walk through the trees, you will see our 600 sqft waterfront Cottage ( Red roof, Bungalow) with deck, private beach, a private boat dock, 2 bedrooms (with 2 Queen size beds), a living room (with a Queen size sofa bed & a comfy memory foam topper), 1 bathroom with washer & dryer, a fully-equipped kitchen with a portable countertop dishwasher, swings, a picnic table, firepit, and a large front deck with windows and glass doors that bring the outdoors in for you to seize and enjoy every moment of it.

*Our Cottage are perfectly set on a 680 ft private beach beside the Bay with a private Boat Dock on 4 acres of flat land (used only by our guests staying at the Lakehouse and Cottage)

INTERACTION WITH OUR GUESTS:

We highly respect our guests' needs for peace and privacy. In the meantime, we are available for our guests' special needs, help in emergencies, tips and recommendations about the area. When we come to do regular maintenance quietly outside our property, we stay far away from the cottage to provide our guests space and privacy. We will only be present when guests need us during guests' stay and during maintenance of the property.

1. Please kindly note we currently only do weekly booking(s) from "Saturday to Saturday"(Check-In at/after 5 pm on Saturdays and Check-Out at/before 11 am) on "Saturdays) due to our housekeeping availability and scheduling in peak season July and August.

2. Please kindly note we have firm policies on "no pets/service animals, no smoking/drugs, no event, and no unregistered guests" at our cottage and on the whole property for the best interest and concerns for our guests' health and safety.

***We love and respect all nature and living lives. Due to our housekeeper and our family have allergies (and our many future guests may have allergies too), other health, safety and liability concerns, we have firm policies on "No any type of pets/service animals" inside our cottage. (Thank you kindly for your understanding that we also need to safeguard our future guests' health as well.)

***If you plan on bringing a service animal or any type of animals on your vacation, please kindly book with other hosts here who have no allergies, have many separate, turnaround rental rooms and have more suitable setups for your pets/service animals to suit your travel plans.
