"Why rent a room when you can have the entire Cottage with a private boat dock on your own 680ft beach?" Our Cottage (Red roof, 600sqft) sits on acreage of flat land, with a full kitchen, 3 Queen beds, washer, dryer, BBQ, deck, patio/lawn/beach chairs, outdoor firepit, and free firewoodā€”with stunning lake views and privacy. (6 mins to Kokanee Creek Provincial Park, 4 mins to Balfour Ferry/Harrop Ferry/Golf Course, 13 minutes to Hot Spring & 30 minutes to Kaslo and 25 minutes to Central Nelson).

*BOOKING DETAILS:

(1) Peak Season (July & August):
7-nights Minimum Stay with check-ins on Saturdays.

(2) Low Season (May, June, Sep & Oct):
4-nights Minimum Stay with flexible check-in.

To ensure a safe, healthy and pleasant stay, for all our guests, we kindly ask you to follow these guidelines:

(1) Pet-Free:
While we love our furry friends and service animals, we need to keep the space allergy-friendly for all guests and our housekeeper. If you plan to bring any pets or a service animal, we kindly ask that you book with other hosts who have more suitable setups.

(2) Registered Guests Only:
For your safety and ours, only the registered guests included in the reservation are allowed overnight on the property.

"We kindly ask registered guests to inform us in advance about any daytime visitors on the lakefront property. All visits must be approved ahead of time and take place outdoors, ensuring safety and privacy for everyone. Please note that parties and events are not permitted. (3) No Campers, Trailers, or RVs:
For safety reasons, our liability insurance doesn't cover these vehicles.

To keep the air and space fresh, clean and heathy for all guests, smoking and drugs are not allowed on the property.

A beautiful property. The outdoor amenities provided by the owners were perfect for relaxation in the stunning location. The covered seating and hammocks were so appreciated. The dock and beach are so convenient for playing on the lake. Lana and Darrell were very communicative and so accommodating and kind to us.

We had a wonderful stay here. Having our morning coffee on the deck and watching the birds was such a treat. Darrell and Lana were excellent hosts and very accommodating to our requests. I hope to go back here again!

Perfect base for your trip to the area

Lana is a great host. The location of perfect for day trips to hotsprings, waterfalls, beaches, the ferry over to Crawford Bay and the artisans there. So much to see and do. Just a short drive from Nelson. The private Waterfront cabin is a good place to unwind and enjoy family time. Paddleboard off the dock, fish, play some badminton. Loved it.

Everything was amazing

Even having an area power outage ( which happens) the cottage was super clean, lots of fans to keep cool. Beach was well maintained. Our super nice hosts even set up a ping pong table for us outside. Lovely Holiday

We stayed with Lana and Darrell summer 2025. This property is beautiful. Easily accessible. The private beach and dock we particularly enjoyed. The set up was very thoughtful, as they had plenty to of outdoor space and chairs/loungers for our use. Lana and Darrell were extremely helpful, especially when we ended up getting a flat tire. Would definitely stay again!

Amazing relaxing vacation!

My 14-year-old daughter and I took a long road trip to stay at this cottage. We stayed for two weeks in July, and it was probably the most relaxing trip I have ever taken. The cottage and the property are exactly as pictured in the listing. It was an amazing place just to relax or go out and explore, and we did a little bit of both. Each morning I drank coffee looking at the amazing view. We also brought a kayak with us, and since we were right on the lake, we were able to jump in day or night whenever we wanted. We went hiking, zip lining, visited the nearby hot springs, and spent a lot of time just relaxing. Lana and Darrell were very generous hosts. They made us feel incredibly welcome and provided us with everything we needed. Darrell even took the time to put air in my tire when I needed it. I can't say enough about what an amazing trip this was and how wonderful Lana and Darrell are! If you have the chance to stay here, you definitely should. We will definitely be back!

A Great Family Getaway

We are very pleased with our recent stay at the cottage! It's a very cozy little place with lots of outdoor space for our one and four year old kids to explore. The cottage is very well maintained and clean. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We were hoping we could avoid using the pull out couch with three adults and two small kids, we were pleasantly surprised to find that the larger bedroom was bigger than expected, we were able to fit a child's blow up mattress and a pack and play in the room with us. Unfortunately water levels were very high during our stay, which covered the beach on the cottage side, but Lana made sure we felt welcome to use the beach on the lakehouse side which was perfect for our kids. We were able to beach our boat and tie it to a tree instead of using the dock which worked perfect. Darrell made sure we always had wood available for campfires and Lana made sure the kids wouldn't be bored by providing great toys. We brought our fire stick which worked great with their wi-fi. This is a perfect spot for a small family, would definitely stay here again!

Relaxing Family Holiday

Had a lovely time at this sweet cabin. Lana and family were excellent hosts and ensured we had everything we needed. The place is set up perfectly for kids, with a sandy beach, toys and games for raining days and swings! Made for a relaxing time for Mom & Dad to enjoy the lovely patio and view. This area is our favourite place to visit every summer and we hope to stay at this cabin again next year!

Great Cabin in a Beautiful Spot

This was our second summer spending time at this property. It is a lovely little cabin in a beautiful location. The property was extremely clean and well-groomed when we arrived, and the hosts were excellent when it came to communication and considerate suggestions/offers. The Perfect Family Retreat

The views were breathtaking, the water was cool and clean, the cottage was quaint and cozyā€¦we were visited by geese, ducks, herons, loons and eagles dailyā€¦our hosts were amazing! Wonderful stay!

We had an awesome, relaxing stay at the cottage for a week. Darrell and Lana were so amazing to deal with. The cabin was nice and clean, had everything we needed and more. A nice dock to fish off of and little beach for the kids to play. I had even packed a few things that I didnā€™t need to as they were at the cabin. We had a bit of an issue with our boat and had to deal with fixing it and Darrell and Lana were willing to lend a hand to rescue us in the water and even watch our son for a bit while we figured it out. Also they gave us some fresh cherries from their tree which were excellent! They gave us our privacy but were always available when we needed them. We had a wonderful stay, thanks again Darrell and Lana šŸ˜Š

Lovely Spot

We spent a week this summer at this property and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was exceptionally clean when we arrived and all was as advertised. The hosts were there to greet us and show us the amenities. It was hot during our stay, so we were glad that we had packed a couple of little fans, as that helped keep the nights cooler. The wifi was not working and cell service was fairly weak, but this must meant more time canoeing and enjoying the beautiful views of the lake. We were also glad to have brought our canoe, and were up and out on the lake each morning when the water was calm. All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly book again.
