Luxury Apartment on the River

Needed a few days to relax with my girlfriend, glad we chose to stay here. The apartment was very cozy and clean!! River views are amazing especially at night! Highly recommend if anyone needs a private getaway.

Inside the property was fine. The back parking area was filthy with animals evidently getting in the trash which was scattered around the lot

48 State St is an older house being renovated. It was originally a carriage which , around 1920, or so, was rotated 90 degree and made into 4 apartments.Apartment 48 is nicely renovated with window air conditioners and newappliances . It sits on a hill overlooking the Oswego river. The view and breezes are great.Yachts often park below the house, near the old bridge house.. Although only 1/2block from downtown, not much is there, a couple of bakeries and one or twobar/grills. There is a small open air fruit & Vegetable stand 2 bloks away and the Bern gas and quick stop offers a goof selection of donuts brewed coffee. I think there are several restaurants toward Syracuse or N Syracuse

Amazing Views!

Beautiful views watching the boats come into lock 1. Friday night music at the park. We sat and had coffee and wine on the porch. Interior of the home was beautifully decorated. Will stay here again!

Cute and clean

It was a nice little place. The only thing I wished it had was a washer & dryer, and tv in the bedroom. As I dont like going to laundry mat, and I was there for more than 30 days. The owner was nice and quick to respond.

Great place to stay!

I really thought the property was adorable. The only thing I would suggest is more lighting in the back where you park and in the front. I got there after dark and it was hard to see where to walk and a little challenging entering the code in the lock box. But other than that--I plan on staying there again.

It works but place needs a major facelift. Driveway extremely tight & narrow, parking lot area broken asphalt & pot holes, trash bins overflowing. In house, shower is makeshift with partial board showing & min water pressure… think a water hose was simply connected to a shower head, pieces of shower tile & floors coming apart, thinnest TP ever, no shampoo, conditioner or soap, no where to hang towels to dry. Beds were comfy but no duvet cover on bedspread or 2nd set of pillows no pillowcases. Also, electric remote to turn on fan & light in bedroom.. which affected all lights with same design.. so 1 person wakes up & turns on all lights. I appreciate we had the space for our 2 cats. Lock to door is a joke.. I can jimmy it opener/my DL & it’s practically falling off the door. You can also hear everyone walking in floor above. The decor is nice in living room, dining room, and kitchen.

Enjoyed our stay. Access close to the river to see boats go bye, restaurants and shops in walking distance. Home is a converted apartment and has character. You can hear guests walk upstairs but other than that it's a wonderful stay. Clean, accommodating, and met our needs.Arriving at night can be disorienting just because the exterior is shared space, so take your time and the driveway on the side of the home is narrow so be sure you have clearance going in and out. Worse case you might be able to park at the park across the street first, settle in and park properly after.Would visit again.
