Stay in Tizi House in Varenna

Tizi house is clean, spacious, nicely decorated, fully equipped and in a great location. We would stay here again. Lake Como is a beautiful area and it definitely was a highlight of our 6 weeks in Europe. We did have some miscommunication with the owner about how he was going to meet us at the train station. That did not happen and we walked way out of our way in trying to find Tizi house.

Gem of a location and gracious host

The Tizi house is idea;;y located. Its walking distance from the ferry docks as well as the train station! Rusconi Tiziano and Francesca went well out of their way to make us fee comfortable. Rusconi was gracious host, Tourist guide and chauffer and well meaning friend all rolled into one! The property is ideal for two adults. Rusconi does not take a deposit and counts on our sense of responsibility to be mindful. We had a a great stay in the Como region and Varenna is the best location as its connected by train to Milan, not too pricey or noisy like Bellagio

Tizi's Casa - A Welcome Home

Our recent stay here was a wonderful experience starting with the welcome feeling we had when we arrived in Varenna. Rusconi made us feel right at home from the moment we met him. We were in a rental car and he met us on his motor scooter and personally escorted us to the residence. The apartment is totally upgraded, impeccably clean with special touches added to each room. We were even treated with a welcome bottle of wine along with the best of hospitality. The location is a short walking distance to the ferry, shops, and restaurants in the quaint town of Varenna. We totally enjoyed our stay and our only regret is that we didn't stay at least one or two days longer. We certainly would make this our first choice of places to stay if and when we return to Lake Como. If you want to have a welcoming experience with a wonderful host, a clean, cute, cozy apartment, and also experience some of the local Italian hospitality, you would not go wrong staying here at Tizi's place! Highly recommended! Dave and Viviana

Great location in Varrena.

This was a very well equipped apartment. Tiziano was very helpful. When booking we missed the fact that it was not air conditioned. But we were comfortable between closing shutters in the day and opening up windows at night. At times the close proximity of the family, which includes small children, felt awkward. And during our last night, the motion detector lights on the sidewalk kept going on and off. The light went directly into the bedroom. Normally this would not have been an issue, but we had a 0530 train to catch the next am!

Apartments and the host were great

Apartments are very spacious, cosy and clean. It doesn't have a lake view and located just by the road. Tizian, the host, is very warm and friendly. He has kindly welcomed us with a bottle of montepulciano. The house is 10 minutes walk from the centre of Varenna (Piazza st. Giorgio). Highly recommended for short stay in Varenna.

Perfect home away from home

Tizi house had everything we needed! Good kitchen, spacious living and sleeping areas, modern bathroom and new everything. We enjoyed eating our meals on the lovely outdoor patio. Tiziano is a great host and provided us with good ideas to get the most from our visit. I especially appreciated the cleanliness, paper products and basics included such as olive oil, salt and pepper. Thank you Tiziano.

Great stay

Caza Tizi was wonderful for our stay in Varenna. Great location, easy walk from both the train station and ferry dock, clean, spacious and comfortable. We loved our stay here and only wish we could have stayed longer. Great host, so welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommend.

1st class! This apartment seemed quite new and was well appointed with everything you could need.

Tiziano was very accommodating from the moment he picked us up at the train station. Large apartment with outside dining area as well And even a washing machine. Tiziano also presented us with a gratis bottle of wine on arrival.. I would definitely return here. We have 4 vacation rentals and appreciate when owners set the bar high as we also try to do for guests. Mahalo Tiziano Diane and Phil Hawaii

Very Clean, well furnished and welcoming!

We really liked this appartment, it was equiped with everything we needed for our stay. Tiziano was an attentive host and his daughter very kindly collected us from the ferry in her car. We used the train to explore the area further as the station if a few minutes walk from the appartment. The little local shops are fine for shopping, however a short and cheap train journey (5 mins) to Balano we found the local outdoor market great for fresh produce and behind the main street found little streets full of unusual shops and two small supermarkets, it's a pleasant journey and plenty cafe's to stop at before your return to Varenna. The appartment is idealy located, a short and very beautiful walk to shops and bars. The little shop on the corner is a minute away, the staff were very welcoming and my husband enjoyed his esspresso there in the morning on his walk back from buying fresh bread from the store. Villa Monestero and particularly the garden at Villa Caprisi are worth visiting the views are amazing. We liked Varenna very much, we decided to stay there this year after a day visit in 2017. Varenna is picture postcard beautiful and we found staff in shops, bars and resuarants very friendly and concered that your needs were met. I doubt that this is our last vist to Varenna!

Perfect for us.

The property was clean and well equipped. Great location for ferries and train so no need for a car. Owner very welcoming and helpful with good advice for restaurants and travel.

Wonderful Place to Stay!!!

We loved our visit to the Tizi house! Tiziano was wonderful! He met us at the train station and took us to the home which is close to the train station. He gave us maps and information to help us with our stay. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. We definitely recommend the Tizi House and home to return and visit again!

lovely apartment

Lovely apartment in Varenna, really clean and bed really comfortable. Spacious living room and bedroom with great shower. Full use of the garden and lovely little terrace to sit out on. Tizziano was great he picked us up from the station, and even gave us a bottle of wine. It was really helpful to have a washing machine and took hardly any washing home. Varenna is beautiful , there is a little shop where you can buy basic foods or go to supermarket in Belano . There is a lovely walk there and you can catch the train back. Wonderful host with friendly family. Would definitely recommend

Besser geht's nicht

Netter Empfang von Tiziano.In der Wohnung war alles vorhanden. Sehr sauber und wie neu. Bei Fragen war Tiziano immer errechbar. Varenna ist ein schöner Ort mit vielen kleinen Gassen direkt am See. Kommen bestimmt wieder.

Great apartment close to downtown!

We stayed at Tizi House the end of July 2015 and were very happy with the rental. It was very new and meticulously maintained. Tizi and the family were welcoming and helpful during our stay. It was a short walk to the restaurants and bars as well as the lake. Highly recommended!!

2 wonderful weeks in Varenna

Tizi House has everything one could ask for- a comfortable bed, a well equipped kitchen, a large bathroom and a nice patio. Tiziano even organized a high chair and a baby cot for our eight months old daughter. We were also grateful for the washing machine and the car park. All in all- a perfect stay!

Wonderful experience
