Thse floor was dirty and our socks were filthy very quickly. The kettle was broken and we discovered that the first day. They replied to our message the second day to ask if it was still broken. They then committed to replacing it but never did. Bathroom had an empty pump soap dispenser. They declined filling it. On the plus side, it was cozy and charming. Just as pictured

We arrived late after dark. Was very hard to locate. Even cab-driver had trouble locating. It was raining and was unable to get instruction link to open. Tried contacting host on all three #s. Message said closed til 9 am the next day. Had to find accomidations elsewhere. Host refused to refund any of our money.

The rental exceeded my expectations. The location was perfect and the apartment was clean. The location above a busy restaurant was part of the charm. Very comfortable beds and furniture. A few small changes could make the experience better. It’s fine the washer didn’t work but a note stating the a laundromat was less than 30 yards away would have been helpful. Basic supplies such as dishwater detergent and more than one roll of toilet paper would have been helpful.

Great apartment in the perfect location. Very short walk to waterfront, piazzas, and restaurants but still very quiet in the evenings and early mornings. Apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. We were comfortable with fans and windows open at night but it would be very warm in the summer. Varenna is a beautiful area!

Varenna Getaway

Perfect place. Great views. Apartment was clean and had everything we needed. We even did some laundry. Make sure you eat at the Al Prato Restaurant, too. We Will definitely stay here again. In our opinion, the best location to base out of on Lake Como.

Clean, perfect location

Lovely stay, best restaurant right under the apartment, Al Prato. Very popular, needs reservations. All automated check in, would have appreciated a person to communicate with. Lovely place, would stay here again!

Perfect location, nice stay

Great stay, perfect location. All amenities were as advertised. The wine and snacks when we arrived was a nice treat. I couldn't access the wifi, but I am sure if I had taken the time to inquire, it would have been resolved. We were busy with family, as we were visiting for a weddingg.

VERY NICE CONDO IN AN EXCELLENT LOCATION

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 week stay in Varenna. The condo was very nice and in a particularly good location….close to the action and convenient to grocery stores and restaurants. Thanks to the hosts who let us arrive early.

We had ant infestation it was quite alarming and terrifying has they were everywhere in the bathroom and kitchen. No soap to wash hands just some packets of shampoo. Has kitchen with supplies but no soap to wash or seasonings. We were only given 1 roll of toilet paper and when we ask for more they told us no. Therefore we went to go buy toilet paper. When we came back they had brought the toilet paper. The only nice thing is that we were given early check in. There was a washer and dryer but the washer didn’t work.

Dream Come True

Our stay in this lovely apartment in Varenna situated over a little Italian restaurant was absolutely perfect! Super charming with an absolutely stunning view of Lake Como from the living room and bathroom windows. It was very well equipped with anything we needed for our stay. We loved the entire experience!

Honeymoon

This place is great! It’s right in the center of town and close to everything in Varenna. It looks out into a beautiful piazza and you can also partly see the lake and mountains from the windows. There is also a shared outside area where you can see the lake a bit better. We would definitely go back!

Beautiful place, just a couple problems

We loved the location and the apartment. Only a couple of problems: the shower door was broken, and the bedroom closet smelled a little because there was a stained pillow in there. We still would recommend.

Apartment was well positioned and directions were excellent. Sadly the key safe didn’t work and we needed to wait for someone to come and fix it before we could get in. Overall the property was ok but some things were old and tired and information such as about the WiFi was out of date. With a refresh it could be great. It is worth noting that there is no air conditioning.

Perfect place to stay in Varenna

We were extremely pleased with this property. It is in a very charming and convenient spot very near the town square and the shops and restaurants on the waterfront. Varenna is a jewel and we are very glad we chose it and did side trips from there. The place is very clean and everything was of good quality. The instructions from the management company with directions and how to get in were detailed and easy to follow. We felt very secure with the gated entry area. The communal patio was small but offered a beautiful view. If returning to Varenna we would stay there again. It is very comfortable for two adults but would be tight for four.
