This seaside resort is a very popular holiday destination located on the west coast along Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way.

Ballybunion Holiday Cottages are located on a large lawned landscaped site on the edge of the town, a great space to enjoy with family and friends. These semi-detached holiday cottages are bright and spacious making them the ideal base for a seaside family holiday or group holiday in County Kerry. Ballybunion Holiday Cottages No.27 has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 6 guests comfortably:



Property layout – Ground floor:

-Open plan kitchen

-Living area with TV and open fire

-Bathroom with a bath with overhead shower

-Bedroom 1: twin sleeping 2

There are onsite tennis courts, and plenty of local amenities including a public playground, seaside amusements, indoor pool and leisure centre all within easy reach of Ballybunion Holiday Cottages.



Ample car parking is available.

Located just a short stroll from Ballybunion town on the Wild Atlantic Way, these semi-detached holiday cottages enjoy a tranquil location. Ballybunion boasts a selection of fine restaurants, quirky cafes, craft shops and great traditional pubs.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Heating and Electricity:

Depending on the location of your booking, a non-refundable Utility Contribution of €40 may apply. If applicable, this charge is paid with your holiday balance and will appear in your payment breakdown.



If no Utility Contribution is shown on your booking, we recommend contacting our call centre to confirm how utility charges are applied, as this can vary by location.



If the €40 Utility Contribution has been charged, any additional utility costs will be handled in one of the following ways:



-Paid locally to the Owner or Property Manager. Please check with them directly, as the calculation method varies by property.



-Pay As You Go electricity meter. The €40 will be credited to the meter on the first day of your stay, and you will need to top up the meter as required during your stay.



Please note that gas or oil charges, where applicable, are always payable locally based on usage and are not included in the amount paid at the time of booking.



2. Security Deposit:

A minimum refundable security deposit of €200 (per property) must be paid prior to check-in to your holiday home to the local Property Manager/ Owner. This is either taken over the phone by pre-authorizing your credit card when you call the Property Manager to arrange your arrival time 48 hours in advance of arrival or at others it is taken on arrival. In some locations and at certain times of year this can increase to €500 per property.



3.Internet Access:

WIFI is available in Ballybunion Holiday Cottages only from June 1st to August 31st.



4. Towels:

Towel sets are available upon request at a small charge. Please contact our Call Centre or the Property Manager to arrange (you will find the Property Manager's contact details at the Arrival Info document sent to you in the final payment confirmation).

Had a lovely week away. It's our second time staying here. It has everything you need even an open fire. Bring your own hairdryer. Beds were so comfy. They provided linen and towels, tablets for dishwasher and washing machine were a lovely bonus. A few bulbs blown but otherwise great.

Worst experience ever

Check in process was horrific. fine print the receipt claimed I was supposed to contact them 48’hours ahead so they could coordinate my check in. Who ever hears of such a thing, when they knew when I was checking in and all that was required is sending an email with the lock box key? Instead then on site manager never answered the phone when we arrived at 4 pm and after 2 hours we had to get a room elsewhere. We wish we had just stayed at that place but since we has PhD ahead in full for the 5 nights, the following day we spend hours again trying to contact the on site manager. Only got response once we called the main headquarters number - which was again only an email with the lock box code. Once we arrived the second night -‘of which they refused to reimburse the first night, I called the site manager for the wifi passcode at 9:30 pm - and she was amazingly rude claiming she doesn’t accept calls after 9 pm? Then maybe your email with details should have included the wifi password? Unbelievable. As far as the place is concerned - none of the toilets pelted correctly - it was at best poorly appointed - not clean - and a horrible experience. These people do not want to do business apparently. AfterwRds I merely tried to get them yo reimburse the first night - and they refused because of the “48 hour coordination rule”. Again - I made the reservation - gave me a check in time of 4 pm and arrival time- and all that was needed was to send the email with the lock box code. I have never heard of such a silly unnecessary rule. DO NIT STAY THERE!!!!

Great accommodation, very centrally located within 10mins walking distance from the town.

We stayed there as a family of five during the 1st week of August 2022. The standard of accommodation was great (4.5 stars), with no concerns raised. It is a great location when you have teenagers, as they can come and go as they please without requiring the parents in toe. The centre of Ballybunion is less then 10 mins walking distance and you will be on the beach within another 5 mins. Overall highly recommended (4.5/5) Additional you are not too far from Tralee, Killarney to enjoy a great day out as well away from the beach. The only recommendation I would make would to increase the speed of the Wi-Fi setup within the house, as it limited our ability to watch Disney+, Netflix, internet access during the evening times. The average download load speed measured during the week was approx. 1Mb. This should be ideally be 40+Mb to cater fully for all out needs.

On behalf of our families

The entire site was spotless. Bernie gave us a lovely welcome and she looked after us very well. The cottages are only a short walk from the town centre and are so convenient to all Ballybunion has to offer. A small kids safe play area would be nice perhaps instead of the under used tennis court.
