Thank you for the low rating on an issue that we could not do anything about. Most of the parking garages are tight and difficult for oversize SUVs, Trucks and Some Vans to utilize. Parking in a numbered space sets guests up to having their vehicle booted or towed because all the numbered spots are reserved for the coordinating condo. We try to keep others from blocking the parking spaces reserved for guests of our units. Larger vehicles are welcome to use the overflow lot that is conveniently across the street in front of the resort. We prefer to be rated on the things we are responsible for, an attractive, clean, comfortable unit with friendly, pro-active customer service. I believe, even according to your comments, we did achieve more than 3 stars in those areas. Have a great summer.

Your review came as a really bad surprise. When we checked in with you the evening of your arrival, we were told everything was "great" Can not imagine how that changed since the pre-arrival inpsection, completed 2 hours prior to your arrival also cleared the unit. As far as cleaning supplies that guests may want while they are using the condo, there is a vaccum, broom, dust pan, mop and a mop bucket in the unit. The Shores is a very large resort with multiple elevators but we do know that during the busiest times of the year, the wait can be long. We are unable to do anything about that. The parking space in the covered garage is reserved for guests of Sea View and therefore always available. That is a great convenience compared to searching for limited available places to park. The space can be difficult for large and oversized vehicles. We wish we had been told that you had concerns about the dirt and dust we didn't see when we contacted you to ensure you were happy. We would certainly sent staff over to correct anything that may have been overlooked during the cleaning and pre-arrival inspection.

We do not understand what was happening with the television in the Living room. Sorry we didn't know you were having an issue and it does seem fine now. Thank you for the nice review. Please keep us in mind as we do have several units and many are lower than Sea View. Enjoy the rest of summer.

The sofa is only 2 years old but we're looking for a replacement. It's not the most comfortable. The toilet has been repaired. sorry it was an issue while you were staying with us. We do hope that you will come back, we'd like to have your 4 star experience be a 5 star the next time.

We are getting quotes on flooring and hope it will be replaced as soon as the season slows down. It is cleaned frequently but the stains will not come out. thank you for letting us know about the faucets. We had not been informed but will have that looked into right away. We appreciate you sharing your opinion. We agree that the location is convenient. Pineapple Willys, Putt Putt Golf, the Grand Maze and Ripleys are all within walking distance of the condo. We are one of the few that include the amenities charge rather than having guests pay for it themselves. One of the best things about the condo is the awe inspiring view from the unit and the balcony. The reserved parking space has been very convenient for most of our guests in spite of the drain pipe in the FRONT center of the space. We, like many guests have parked there without problems, and regret that you didn't. Elevators at many of the resorts with connected parking garage, particularly those across the street, are frequently a problem during the busiest season. We understand but are unable to do anything about it. Fortunately, the system at The Shores is by far not as cumbersome as several of the ones we depend on further west on Front Beach Road. As frustrating as this can be, it is much more convenient than the off property, expensive parking lots that must be dealt with in many vacation destinations. Please contact us directly the next time you plan a PCB trip and allow us to help you choose one of the resorts we offer that will not include any parking issues. As is our policy, we contacted the guests within 12 hours of their arrival to assure they had everything they needed and were pleased. They responded to the text inquiry telling us, "everything is great". This was the morning after their arrival. Had they told us anything about the things they complained about inside the condo, we would have corrected it. They didn't and our Inspector that checked the unit prior to their arrival didn't either. The dark blue rug in the living room is and always has been dark blue. It has also been professionally cleaned along with the upholstered furniture on a routine basis. The mattress covers on the bunk are waterproof and had been properly wiped down when the clean linens were put on the bed prior to the guests arrival. We email a copy of the rental contract to the guest that made the reservation. We request that they fill out the last page, sign and return it to us by fax or email. That page is where their unique password, called the Beach Ambassador, is shared with the guests. The contract explains the check in procedure in detail. The day of scheduled arrival, we contact the guets by telephone, when they tell us what their Beach Ambassador is we provide: the code for the door lock, tell them what is left in the condo for them, tell them the number of the parking space, answer any questions they may have and tell them we will contact them again late evening or the following morning to ensure their satisfaction. All of that except returning the contract to us did occur with this guest and they were able to tell us their Beach Ambassador when we called. Obviously, at some point, they had the contract or they would not have known that information. The description of the condo and the contract are very clear that there is only one parking space available, although it is not free, we do pay the resort for our guests. Only one vehicle is permitted at the Shores of Panama. That is clearly stated from the beginning of the reservation process. Just as it would be in a great number of resort locations, parking has become a premium on PCB and the costs to park are passed along to the guests. We regret that, it is beyond our control and we are always upfront with guests about this. We are sorry if the Shores of Panama staff was rude to anyone but that also is something we can not control, the resort staff are not our staff. In their defense, I will point out that they are not typically rude. As for occupancy limits in the various amenities, that is necessary to ensure that comfort, safety and health standards are maintained. Many of those are established by various regulatory agencies. Many people accustomed to travel may have experienced that. The Shores of Panama is a large, contemporary resort in a central location of the beach with nice amenities. That along with its close proximity to many of the popular venues makes it a popular and busy resort. Possibly this guest would have been more comfortable in one of our less dense resorts on the east end of the beach. We agree, the condo wasn't and isn't "terrible" in fact it's far from it and the guests reported that when we checked ion them. We always want to know guests opinion while we may be able to enhane it because we want all of our guests to have a great vacation. MG

Unfortunately, the hot water heater did burst very late friday afternoon while the guests were in the condo. It resulted in the water needing to be turned off until a replacement water heater could be installed. Unfortunately, the guests chose to simply not tell the truth about what happened. This unit is on the 18th floor of the Shores of Panama. Andrea told me tht they needed the condo because by having it they would have 2 balconies for their wedding. Note we did not know they were using the condo for a function and would not have rented it to her had she shared that information when the reservation was made. We do not accommodate functions or parties. The condo we offered, IMMEDIATELY upon notice of problem in the Shores unit on the 11th floor of Grand Panama. It is one mile from Shores of Panama. The 11th floor unit does have a Gulf View east and west and it is the same size as the one at the Shores. Andrea was demanding, rude, loud and near hysterical. At one point she and her friend were on the phone at the same time, the friend stated that Andrea was just too upset, obviously unhinged to the point of hysteria and the manager agreed to talk to the friend. The friend said they the friend and one other woman had rented a 3 bedroom at the Shores and that if we refund the money Andrea had paid us (all of it), she would liet the couple being married the next day, come and stay in one of the extra bedrooms in the three bedroom unit. I suggested that the two women take the unti at Grand Panama, one mile away, and let the newly weds stay in the 3 bedroom. She said no that she had a contract with Vrbo and could not do that. I explained that Andrea also had a contract and that the contract clearly stated that in the event of an emergency break down of an essential item, i.e. AC, water, etc. that the Lessor had the right to substitute accommodation for a similar property. It is part of all standard rental contracts. We were quickly, without any hassle offering a very nice alternate accommodation. She, Andrea refused. The manager never spoke with the fiance, Andrea called 3 different staStaff and was extremely rude to each of us. I talked to Andrea's friend who was very assertive but appropriate and reasonable even though we we did not agree to operate outside the parameters of the contract signed by Andrea. We are sorry that she was inconvenienced. We hate for any of our guests to have any problems and we are committed to providing good service. Our usual reviews clearly demonstrate that.

We are sorry that you had a bad experience. It is disappointing in several ways. Not the least of all being that we have had multiple communications with the guest and yet they claim that we don't want to talk to them. Until now, that was not the case. We had turned off the plumbing to the 2nd toilet when we became aware of an issue which happened to have been the same day these guests arrived. One of the managers told this guest that the water had been turned off and why. They even acknowledged understanding this. With water to the toilet in the 2nd bedroom turned off, the shower and the sink was still working. We had to find a plumber for a "non" emergency on a Saturday afternoon in a very busy resort town. Good Luck. After several attempts We did find a third party, independent plumber and it was the one that answered the call, ultimately making the repair, We notified the guests and told them when the independent plumber told us they would be there. We also told the guests repeatedly that it was not required for them to wait in the condo. They could go out as is customary for condos and apartment rental property. We did not know about the length of time the plumber took or that he was later than we were told he would be there. We received a bill the morning after the day the work was completed. We never heard from the guests again until after they departed. A couple of days after they departed, the guests called to ask about having someone come by and pick up her shoes. This was after a cleaning crew had cleaned and the condo had been inspected. The housekeepers did not find any shoes in the unit. Used shoes or new, if they had been found, staff would have reported it, we would have contacted the guests and then offered to ship them to them at cost. That is the policy that we have always followed. Unfortunately, it has happened a few times and we've shipped a variety of things over the years. We are sorry we couldn't help the guests recover the loss of her shoes.
