Casa encantadora isla rodeada de plantas tropicales indígenas en más de un acre de la vegetación natural incrustado en Captiva islas solitarias y exclusiva Costa de Oro. A pocos pasos de la famosa (y con poca gente) playa de la Costa del Golfo de Captiva través de acceso a la playa escriturada. Una zona tranquila, aislada y privada para disfrutar de todos los famosos y naturales comodidades de Captiva Island. Simplemente disfrutar de recoger algunas de las conchas para los que Captiva es famosa, nadar en el Golfo de México, el pescado para algunos peces conocido juego, realizar una caminata a lo largo de la hermosa playa privada Captiva o ir en kayak, parapente, canotaje, observación de aves, surf ... y por su fuera de la playa de entretenimiento simplemente disfrutar de la privacidad de esta casa de alquiler dentro y por fuera con su propia piscina climatizada con cornisa de bronceado y gazebo.

Our family had a wonderful time! The house was so well stocked! I didnt have to use any of the kitchen staples we brought from home! The place was clean, really cute and in a beautiful location! We enjoyed the bbq grill, lounging at the pool and had a nice little walk to the beach, which we pretty much had all to ourselves! We saw so many dolphins and manatees! It was truly magnificent!! Our hostess was friendly and kind. We got to visit with her about the place while she was doing some yard tending. She had the grounds well kept and full of beautiful plants and trees! We were very impressed and can't wait to visit again! Thank you so much for having us!

My best friend return to Captiva each summer. We found this absolute GEM for our weeklong stay. Everything that was listed was exactly as it was. The house was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans and cooking utensils. The house had plenty of books, puzzles and even toys for any young children that are staying there. There are 3 smart tvs with endless streaming possibilities The walk to the beach was a breeze, and the beach cart was great! There were also beach chairs/beach tent/umbrellas/beach toys/floats/snorkel masks/beach mats as well. The pool was amazing!! Was completely expecting bath water temps when I first got in, and was pleasantly surprised at the refreshing temperature of the water from being cooled! From the pool, you can see the big eagles nest atop a tree. We had the pleasure of meeting our host on the property one morning when we returned from a bike ride. She was tending to some of the beautiful foliage on the property. We had a nice chat as she gave us the history of the property. It was clear that she enjoys taking care of the plants/trees on property. We had an amazing week in a beautiful oasis. We will look forward to returning next year.

Great pool, house and beach

Wonderful stay with family. Great location with a short walk to a secluded beach. House was clean and perfect. Pool was amazing. Would recommend again.

Relaxation at Captiva Cottage

My family and I just had a wonderfully relaxing stay at Captiva Cottage. The house was beautifully decorated, clean, and inviting. I enjoyed the lovely lower level private sleeping apartment with bath while my family stayed upstairs in a master suite with direct access to the screened porch. The kitchen was modern and included everything you need to prepare meals. The pool was a great place to relax with the bonus of a bald eagle sitting in a nest nearby. There was plenty of pool equipment and chairs as well as shade. We were near beaches and restaurants. Margarethe is a kind and responsive host. I highly recommend a stay at Captiva Cottage.

Perfect Island Cottage

This was our second time staying here. The location is amazing! The house is very comfortable, well maintained and well stocked and the screen porch is roomy and such a great place to relax. The private pool is just lovely. Can't beat floating in the pool watching bald eagles fly in and out of their nest right next door. The bottom level was redone since our first visit and is really lovely now. We can't wait to come back! we miss it already.

Wonderful memories

We will forever remember our week at this home. There is just so much about it that makes it so special. Now that we are back home we miss so many things about this little cottage. We had an absolutely wonderdul time! 10 out of 10!

Perfect house/location

This house fit our family and friends just perfect!The house was well appointed..had everything we needed. The pool was a wonderful addition. The eagles nesting above it were amazing! Margarethe was an amazing host. She answered any questions we had.

Amazing Private Beach/Pool Home

House is roomy, uncluttered, updated, comfortable, very well stocked, clean, private location, steps from the gorgeous quiet beach! We loved the huge screened lanai. The downstairs room worked well as a 3rd bedroom and a detached office by day. The pool is an amazing haven if you can tear yourself away from the beach! We are cook at home people and this kitchen was the best stocked I've ever stayed in. Host was very accessible and helpful. Amazing vacation property! Would love to return!

Sister's Celebration

We spent a week at the cottage to celebrate a sister's 70th birthday. The cottage is perfect for a small group like ours. It was very clean, beautiful, and well-equipped. The pool is an added bonus and we spent a great deal of time lounging there and watching the baby eagles in the eagle's nest

Secluded piece of paradise

The property was in great condition and excellently stocked! All the beds and seating areas were very comfortable and spacious. They provided beach chairs and a cart. Access to the beach was just across the street. The screened porch was a great place to watch the eagle nest and the iguanas. It was also nice to have a pool at the house. The property owners were very responsive to any questions we had. We can't wait to stay again!eat tiguanas.

Most Relaxing Vacation ever!

Captiva Cottage had everything we needed for our relaxing week. We loved the pool and even got to see the bald eagle in the nest next door! The host answered all my questions and even dropped off new batteries for the tv remote. I can't wait to go back!

Great Place to relax

This was a wonderful vacation (unfortunately, too short). The cottage is very well maintained, clean and confortable. The room on the ground floor is very convenient. My wife and I stayed in that room and my daughters (both in College age) in the cottage in the 2nd floor. Great setup, with privacy and freedom… in summary, great place for a beach vacation… we will certainly return…

Captiva Cottage

My wife and I celebrated our birthdays and anniversary there. All on the same day! It was private, peaceful, and beautiful! So close to the beach, shops and restaurants. Our host was very kind and knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk to. Fully recommend a stay at her property. Loved the edible landscape!

Captivated in Captiva

Margarethe's island hideaway is an absolute gem. From it's seclusion to close proximity to the beach and amazing water to the pool with painted turtles in the pool floor and pineapple plants - dont forget the pineapple plants. This place has it all and the price is well below some of the other places you'll see for Captiva. It really does check all the boxes. I would say that if you have difficulty navigating stairs then this is probably not the place for you as the main part of the house is on the upper level and the stairs could be difficult for some. Really a wonderful stay in Captiva.

Fabulous location

We had a wonderful week at the Captiva Cottage. The location can’t be beat- you practically have the beach, right across the street, to yourself. We also really enjoyed the grounds and the pool and appreciated all of the beach equipment. It was also lovely to be able to bring our dogs and not worry about extra fees or hassle. Agree with some other reviews that the place could use some newer and more comfortable seating in the living room, porch and downstairs area, but we still had a great stay. Would definitely recommend.

Best of Everything!

If you are looking for a great place to stay in Captiva this home is it! Private beach access across the street, great fenced in pool with tanning deck and gazebo, all sitting on a secluded acre of jungle like property. Grounds are beautiful and definitely make you feel like living on a tropical island. House very clean and recently updated. Traveled with two adults, three kids and our dogs; plenty of room for everyone. Owner Margarethe was great and anything we needed was taken care of. Highly recommend! We will be back!
