Built and fitted to a very high standard, the villa enjoys an envious location ... a short walk from the beach and close to the town of Lourinhã with all its amenities - this is an ideal Portugal Silver Coast holiday rental home for a relaxing or activity filled holiday.

The villa is designed to maximise the stunning panoramic sea views with the living room & kitchen on the top level. The large picture windows flood the house with light at all levels and the sea is a magnet to which the eyes are drawn from all angles. The fully equipped modern designer kitchen has everything to make your holiday meals special and enjoy alfresco dinning on the large terrace watching the sunsets.

On the mid level, there are three beautifully decorated bedrooms with their own marble bathrooms and fitted cupboards. This level opens to the pool & terrace - perfect for relaxing in the sun. There is also an elevator in the property.

A lovely place to spend a couple of weeks!

Lovely modern house. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. It had all the mod cons. The property management was also exceptional. Beautiful views of the ocean and the beach is a 15 min walk away. Lots to do and see nearby - but you'll need a car. I would definitely recommend this place.

Eigentlich gut

Das Haus ist sehr schön und sauber. Bei kleineren Problemen ist schnell jemand da und hilft (danke Claudia!). Das Haus liegt in einer noch nicht vollendeten Anlage, Baulärm ist aber kein Thema. Das Haus hat häufig Meerblick, schwierig ist nur das Mikroklima. Man nennt es dort auch die Nebelecke. An vielen Tagen war es so nebelig und bedeckt, so dass wir uns eher im November auf den Shetland Inseln als im Juli in Portugal wähnten (Stichwort Steigungsregen). 30 Kilometer südlich ist es dann wolkenlos und statt 20 Grad am Ferienhaus 30 Grad. Die Sonne scheint nur, wenn gleichzeitig starker Wind weht. Jenseits des Meerblicks ist die direkte Umgebung mit den angrenzenden Orten nicht sehr sehenswert. Ohne Mietwagen geht nichts.

Magnifique résidence !

Une villa d'exception dans un ensemble résidentiel particulièrement calme. Dommage qu'il soit encore en construction et que des grues pointent à l'horizon, d'ici quelques mois j'imagine que cela sera résolu. Attention, dans cette villa, la piscine n'est pas exposée du bon côté, gros manque de soleil: si on revient, ce sera dans une autre villa avec piscine mieux exposée.

Heel comfortabel huis

Het huis is heel ruim, schoon en van alle comfort voorzien. Heerlijke bedden. Het verwarmde zwembad (geen overbodige luxe) was heerlijk om even een duik te nemen of een boek te lezen, het was er meestal erg rustig. Locatie is prima, op loopafstand van mooi strand en leuke strandtent, perfect voor een kop koffie, ontbijtje of lunch. Enige tip zou zijn een 2e (kleine) handdoek per persoon en een parasol/zonnescherm in de tuin, want hier is vanaf lunchtijd geen schaduwplekje. Wij hebben het niet gemist, omdat het niet zo warm was toen wij er waren,. Hele prettige en pro-actieve communicatie met de host.

Great week

All the family enjoyed the stay so much : property was incredibly clean and nice with every room getting a large terrasse, lots of light everywhere with a view on the beach where we had surf courses (we recommend Drop in Portugal surf center Witherspoon Carlos who is great teaching with kids) . Kids enjoyed the swimmingpool close by too. We enjoyed running from the property along the beach down to Area Branca where we could get fresh bread. We would certainly recommend the place to friends and hope to come back. Virginie

Great holiday

a great holiday in a great house. Everything we needed was available. Peter the manager was very polite and helpful. The house and surrounding of the accomodation are in perfect condition. ein toller Urlaub in einem tollen Haus. Alles, was wir brauchten, war vorhanden. Peter der Manager war sehr höflich und hilfsbereit. Das Haus und die Umgebung der Unterkunft sind in einem einwandfreiem Zustand.

Great escape!

Perfect villa for our half term break. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and a helpful owner who pointed us in the right direction for restaurants, bike hire and even doctors! The walk across the dunes to the new beach bar was a family favourite...even the 5 year old enjoyed this. Great for young families looking for a relaxing holiday.

magnifique séjour

Nous sommes resté 12 jours a l'appartement de Praia del Rey. L'appartement était bien équipé, propre et spacieux. La propriétaire était sympathique et tres aidante si nous avions des questions. Nous avions un petit panier de bienvenu a notre arrivée qui a été très apprécié. La plage était tout près et très tranquille. Une magnifique plage avec une mer un peu agitée pour de jeunes enfants. Nous avons fait plusieurs visite à partir de là. Lisbonne, Sintra, Batalha à environ 1 heure de route. Parc pour enfant tout près. Piscine propre et grande bien apprécié des enfants. Appartement au deuxième étage. Plusieurs resto à proximité mais devions nous déplacer plus loin pour épicierie (20 aines de minute). Somme toute magnifique séjour ..complexe calme et tranquille idéale pour jeunes familles!

Great Easter Break

This was our second visit back to this house as we had stayed the previous year. There were 4 adults and one child aged 2 staying and there was still plenty of room for all of us. The house is to a very high standard. As with a younger child, we tended to cook more at the house which had all the modern appliances for us to use. The rooms are of a large size and furnished to an excellent standard. I would say the general store on the complex is expensive so I would suggest venturing out to Peniche to a larger supermarket so a hire car is advisable. The house is situated very close to the communal swmming pool which is very handy and 5 minutes walk to the beach. We will definitely be going back hopefully in the summer.

The Turkington family, July 2012

The second year for our family of five (6, 4 & 1yrs old). The villa still appeared brand new and wonderfully cool and spacious. The owners are easy to contact and helpful, making us feel welcome. Highly recommend.

Lovely apartment in a superb resort location

Fantastic location. Very pleasant resort located close to a lovely sandy beach. The accommodation is of very high standard and certainly one of the best we have stayed in. The apartment is well looked after and well equipped. The owner Ms Roopali is very friendly and helpful. Lovely bright and spacious apartment

We stayed in this lovely apartment for a week in July 2010 and loved it. It is a clean and spacious apartment and very well located. A Car is definately needed and local shops and supermarket is close by along with Obidos (worth a visit) and Porto. The swimming pool is located in the back of the apartment and where you can also have a BBQ. There is also a childrens play area 5 mins away and gorgeous beach around 10. Although the waves can be a bit strong at times. Roopali is very friendly indeed and she welcomed us with some fruit, milk and bread. She was so thoughtful and what a lovely surprise too. if you need anything she would be more than happy to advise you on trips etc. Also there is an information pack in the apartment with local things to do etc. Very well thought of. The Kitchen is very well equipped and we also had found some olive oil, salt pepper etc in the cupboards! Would definately recomend this apartment. My 3 Kids loved it and so did we.

Casa Carmela in Praia del Rey, Portugal

We had a great holiday in Portugal this summer. We were five people who rented an apartment in Praia del Rey. The apartment was well equipped and comfortable. Both the apartment and the environment corresponded to our expectations and we had a state holiday. This can be recommended to anyone who wants a holiday in a great country with lots of nice people and a host that met all of our expectations.

Great location for families with kids

In July 2010 we spend a small week with our 3 kids in this apartment. The location is great, more then enough space and very comfortable. All the equipment you need is available and the property is very clean. The kids loved the shared pool which is also very clean. It was some days a little bit fresh and windy. There are more then enough suggestions for activities mentioned in the information map. We enjoyed a relaxing time in a great environment.

Great base for exploring.

We found Casa Carmela to be not only a good property but the location was very good for exploring the surrounding area. THe apartment is clean and tidy and well appointed and the development on which it is situated is similarly well kept. There are many things to do in the nearby area and the information left by Roopali kept us well entertained.

Great holiday location!

In August 2009, we had spent 1 of 3 weeks holiday in this apartment and we just loved! It is very big apartment, located in very golf 'city' but still close enought to visit Obidos, Tomar, Fatima,Leira,Alcobaca or PORTO. The place has swimming pool in the back yard and walking distance to the ocean. The owner keeps the place very clean, and kitchen has all necessary equipment. We also had found some salt and papper : ) The shopping mall can be found e.g. in Obidos which makes it really easy for self catering. Ms. Roopoli is super friendly and she gave us some really good tips! She also had contacted us several times during our stay, just to check if we need something extra - very customer service oriented!

Apartamento excelente - Trato extraordinario

Se trata de un apartamento excelentemente bien equipado, es muy amplio, hemos estado cuatro adultos y tres niños muy cómodos, tiene todos los electrodomésticos nuevos, y una vajilla muy completa y en buen estado. La piscina comunitaria es perfecta para disfrutar en familia. El día de entrada estaba en perfecto estado y completamente limpio. La zona es muy tranquila, ideal para descansar. Tiene a su alrededor a 10-20 minutos, 5 o 6 playas espectaculares, con baja densidad de ocupación. Gran campo de golf. Es imprescindible el coche. El trato por parte de la propietaria ha sido extraordinario desde el día de llegada, muy atenta en todo momento a nuestras indicaciones o peticiones de información. Aunque no estaban incluidas en el equipamento de la casa, la propietaria nos ha colocado dos cunas para los bebés. El contacto con la propietaria por internet ha resultado muy satisfactorio.

Praia del Rey apartment and holiday review

Very pleasant apartment, clean and well presented. Lovely location within 10 min walk of the beach (take care there, strong surf, as my husband's knee found out!). We travelled with our three girls aged 17, 14 and 6. There was plenty of activity for all age groups without having to stray to far from the apartment complex. The owner, Roopali, could not have been more helpful and accomodating without being in any way intrusive, which is just what we needed (especially with medical guidance following the aforementioned knee injury). The in-house information pack was also well put together and instructive. The mid-holiday cleaning service was also excellent and very thorough. We would all happily recommend this property following our two week stay. A car is essential for food shopping etc., as there is currently only a small grocery store on site. The main supermarkets are approx. 15-20 minute drive, so it is worth a bit of planning before you go out. The walled medieval city of Obidos nearby is very worthy of a visit.

Great

We have just returned from a two week holiday, the apartment is very spacious and is one of the best properties I have stayed in. We made lots of day trips to Lisbon, Alcobaca, Obidos inbetween relaxing at the pool. The owner was helpful from the first email (which is why we chose this apartment) and even when we needed to book restaurants or get help for my elderly mother, nothing was too much. The resort even at the height of summer did not appear busy. The beach really does have miles and miles of sandy beaches. I would recommend eating off resort so you can experience real Portugese food and wine at unbelievable prices (15 Euros including wine per person). Thanks for the use of your lovely apartment.
