¡Nuestra cabaña seguramente le dará la escapada al norte que está buscando! Si usted es del tipo aventurero que quiere practicar esquí acuático, o el pescador que busca una excelente pesca de lubina o leucomas, o simplemente desea relajarse en sus 100 'de playa privada de arena, estamos seguros de que nuestra cabaña cumplirá sus deseos de vacaciones. Mi esposo y yo compramos esta cabaña en octubre y la remodelamos en diciembre de 2016. Tenemos nuevos electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable, pisos, muebles, camas, ropa de cama y toallas. (Por esta razón, no permitimos mascotas ni fumar de ningún tipo en nuestra propiedad). Nuestra casa está situada al final de un callejón sin salida privado, a solo 15 pies de la hermosa playa de arena y la orilla del agua. Nuestro vecindario ofrece un parque privado justo al final de nuestra calle tranquila donde puede jugar un juego familiar de béisbol, voleibol, golf de disco y dejar que los más pequeños se balanceen y jueguen en la estructura de juego. ¡La diversión que puedes tener aquí es ilimitada! Tenemos un bote de remos, canoa, kayak, tabla de paddle, muelle privado, hoyo de maíz, croquet, una parrilla para su pesca del día y un pozo de fuego para s'mores y sentarse después de un largo día de natación o esquí acuático. ¡La ubicación no podría ser mejor para tu escapada al norte! Estamos a menos de 5 minutos del famoso Boone's Long Lake Inn, y a unos 10 minutos del "Mejor Heladería" en Estados Unidos ... ¡MOOMERS! Estamos a solo 15 minutos del centro de Traverse City. Cerca de muchas bodegas, restaurantes, la Academia de Artes Interlochen y a unos 30 minutos de las impresionantes dunas de arena. Estamos muy emocionados por sus próximas vacaciones familiares en Long Lake Cottage; Seguro que estará lleno de grandes recuerdos.

This was a great place to stay, inside and out. It was clean and had what we needed. My toddler son loved playing on the sandy beach and in the water with the stand up paddle boards and pedal boat. I would recommend it for a relaxing time away.

Perfect Lakeside cabin. Clean, well furnished and equipped and perfect location. Just feed from Long Lake. Easy to get to and check in was simple. Host lives next-door, which was very nice if I needed anything she was available, but there was nothing needed.

What a beautiful spot! Very clean and quiet!! We had a little rain so the patio was a great place to hangout. My family enjoyed their time and asked to come back next year! Owner was very friendly! Five stars for sure !!

Overall the property and our experience was fine. The house being directly on the lake and having access to the paddle boards, kayaks, and a fire pit was awesome! I do feel it was overpriced given the condition of the home and lack of amenities. In the description of the home, laundry was listed as included, but upon arrival we realized there was no washer and dryer. We have two kids and packed planning on doing laundry while there, so this was a big inconvenience. There were only four bath towels provided in the home, and again without access to laundry this was not ideal. Additionally, the notes for the rental told us to bring our own sheets, so that was something we packed, but the beds were already made with sheets, so that was an item we wish we would have known we could leave behind. We bought groceries to use the grill at the home but the grill did not work great and took a significant amount of time to heat up given the burners were not fully working. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and appreciated Suzy's prompt communication and thoughtful s'mores welcome package, but would have appreciated a more accurate description of the property.

We rented this unit for a week in July with my young family and it was perfect! The water sports made for easy kid entertainment and the views were excellent. The hosts were great to rent from and very accommodating and responsive. I recommend!

We had a great stay! It's a great location close to Traverse City, as well as Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. The cottage has beautiful views of Long Lake, making you feel like you are right on top of the the water!

I really hate to complain about something likely mostly outside of property owners control. But, the smell of the water was overwhelmingly bad. It’s summer, everyone needed showers, but the bathroom smelled so sickeningly bad. There were also a lot of bugs in cabin. Again, it’s a lake, they can’t necessarily keep all bugs out, but I would have wanted better pest control. Flys, spiders, bees inside. It was tough. Property was mostly as listed. Although no dryer. That’s a bit of a deal breaker if you are swimming. The owner was accessible and a very nice person. We loved the private beach, beauty, and peace. Nice location for Moomers Ice Cream or see Traverse City sites. VRBO has some really high quality rentals and that has set a high bar, so this property while good in a lot of ways was a disappointment. A lot of money considering the pain points. Hopefully the owner is able to address these things. She seems caring and we are rooting for her success. Appreciate the nice touches and s’mores ingredients she left for us. She’s clearly trying to offer her guests and awesome experience.

Quintessential Lake Getaway

This cottage is so comfy and was everything we wanted and needed for our get away. The bed was super comfortable and the living spaces spacious and well-appointed. Windows everywhere provided lovely views of Long Lake and there are so many cozy corners to curl up in and enjoy the view and the sounds of lake life. The hosts were kind and hospitable without being intrusive. We had everything we needed in the cottage and the hosts provided wonderful tips for the local farmers market and even a neighborhood walking path. They are super responsive too which is always helpful when you have a question! After a few days back at home, I find myself dreaming each morning of that first sip of coffee as the sun rises over the lake and all the birds start to stir. We fell completely in love with the whole area and can’t wait to go back!

Long Lake Getaway

Amazing location right on Long Lake. The hosts are nice enough to allow you to borrow their small boats. We had a great time kayaking and peddle boating around the lake. The location is also great for drives to traverse, the dunes, etc. Unfortunately, the bedrooms were a little smaller than anticipated (have to squeeze by in the queen bed room). And, more pressing, the water smelled metallic. I don’t know if it’s too much iron, but it smelled like you just handled Pennies every time you washed your hands. There was some staining on the shower curtain that was orange, and I think that may be due to the water. Since you have to bring your own towels, make sure they are ones you don’t care about because they might stain (like some of our rags did). Still had a good time and the hosts responded quickly to our questions. So, overall it was a good stay and good experience.

A great time!

Perfect quiet little cabin with great water access. Water was clean and lake was clear with little muckiness to it. We had a great time with our two children (2 under 4) and they couldn’t get enough of the pale boat and lake access. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful Family Cottage!

We had the BEST getaway ever! The peaceful and beautiful setting was just what we needed. The location was great, close to almost everything that Traverse City has to offer. The cottage felt like home and had all the amenities and more that I would expect. Can't wait to come back.

Great cabin close to everything!

Thank you very much for hosting me at the cottage on Long Lake in Traverse City! The kitchen and bathroom are brand new and the decor is very nice throughout the cottage. I especially loved the covered patio for drinks and BBQ. What a peaceful spot steps from the water! Listening to the loons calling was another highlight. Comfy beds and very clean throughout! I hope to be back next summer!

Lake Life

The property is literally next to the lake, which makes for an incredible view. All necessary amenities and comfort for a small family. Communication was excellent throughout, and any questions were answered in a timely manner. If you’re looking to enjoy a lake with your own private beach, this is the place for you.

Toes in the sand, Hiddem gem!

We could go on and on, so we’ll start with this: the family is wonderful. They live in the back house on the property, cottage is right on the waterfront. There was a few minor things that had to be addressed but those were taken care of right away by Jason and Susie. The cottage is exactly as described and we had a wonderful time. We had family and friends come and go visiting us, enjoyed many fire pit nights, beautiful sunrises drinking coffee on the beach, bbq’s, played cornhole, paddle boarded and kayaked around the quiet inlet on the Peninsula where the cottage is located. The covered patio was an awesome place to eat dinners and play cards. Henrick, their son rents out their pontoon boats and jet skis for use right there. Literally everything you need to enjoy Lake Life. Grocery stores, Moomers ice cream and downtown TC are all within 15 minute drive. We stayed there for just under a month so we truly got the full experience and the knowledge of the area. Susie and I became fast friends that will last a lifetime. I already miss her ❤️ I recommended my family stay in the cottage next year because of our daughter getting married up in Traverse City and they already booked it. The only thing I would recommend is to bring a few extra bath towels. Steps from the lake, this cottage will not disappoint. It’s not fancy, but met all our needs and would most definitely come back again! Marc and Denise (the Bakers) ❤️

Family Vacation

Our famiy vacation went great, so much to do in Traverse City area. Jason and Suzy were great hosts, helped with anything we needed. The house is in a great location and kept very clean. We had a few barbecue cookouts, and had a great time eating, playing and boating!

We bought this unique property in the fall of 2016 and realized the importance of sharing it with other families to create many lasting memories. Life is so busy and so fast, we know the value in taking time out to spend it with the ones you love.

First and foremost, Long Lake is our favorite lake in Northern Michigan. The fishing and swimming are awesome. It is very clean and close to downtown Traverse City. It has a few great islands to hike and explore the wildlife. You can even order a pizza from the Long Lake Grocery and boat across the lake on your rented pontoon to the public dock to pick it up! Aside from that, this property has one of the nicest beaches on the lake. It is so serene in the cove and just a perfect getaway spot.
