50th reunion afterwards getaway

We were six girlfriends celebrating our 50th high school reunion. We extended the reunion to this lovely property located on Smith Mountain Lake. The condo was really nice, had a beautiful view and accommodated our group very well. We had a wonderful five days there.

Beautiful view and quiet

We arrived and were able to enter the property with no problem. We had 3 bedrooms and 3 baths which is exactly perfect for us! The dining table was perfect for 6 people. We enjoyed the deck immensely and were out on it a lot. Our property overlooks one of the outside pools and part of the lake. We were able to walk every day as we had beautiful weather. The grill was very small and i was unable to cook my meat and potaoes on it. Overall we enjoyed our visit and we will be back!

The most wonderful time

Felt like our home away from home. Celebrated my 50th birthday with my kids and a couple of their friends. The weather was wonderful, the lake was warm and so fun. We bought some rafts and had so much fun. None of us wanted to leave.

Nice at first glance

The accommodations were OK, but the longer we stayed the more we discovered issues with the cleanliness. One of the bathroom vents was hanging, and there was black mold around it, as well as mold around the rubber ring to the washing machine. The washer or dryer also damaged some of our clothes. The bath mats were not washed and we all ended up getting bitten by some sort of bugs throughout the night. Also, you would think that you would get more than one towel per person at a vacation rental.

Great Time at SML!

Loved our stay at Smith Mountain Lake. Condo was great! Comfortable and clean! Amenities were fantastic! Beach was refreshing! La Napoli was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Ladies Getaway

Loved the location, view and close proximity to pool and restaurant. Spacious floor plan and deck. Enjoyed morning coffee and evening drinks looking at the water and mountains. Very peaceful, quiet, nice families, couples who we met at the pool.

Lovely getaway at the lake

Great condo for our family of 5 (incl. 3 teens) for a weekend getaway at the lake. Clean, well maintained, great location. Bernard's Landing has been our go to at Smith Mountain for years because of all the amenities, the marina with rentals right there, and overall resort feel to the place.

Peaceful & Relaxing

This property was amazing. It was so quiet and restful. We spent hours just sitting on the deck listening to the birds and water. The place was clean and well stocked. Plenty of parking. The one thing I would recommend is bringing additional towels for your stay. Will definitely be back.

Great time at SML

We had a great stay at Maria's place. It was clean and conveniently located in Bernard's Landing. The pool was wonderful to have. Would highly recommend this place!

Great getaway.

Super responsive host. Recently rented for a girls weekend and it was perfect. Bedroom / bathroom layouts were great.

Disappointed

On the first night of our stay she discriminated against our service animal stating her dissatisfaction of our having one at the property and that the result could be fines. She claimed we were supposed to disclose service animals but meant pets, however working service animals are not pets and we are not required to provide "papers" as she stated. She also said we needed to confine her to one room. This is discrimination against the Virginia service animal laws as well it goes against VRBO policy for service animals. My daughter who suffers from anxiety as well as other medical disorders was traumatized by hearing this phone call and avoided family participation throughout our stay. She reclused herself to the bedroom. Please review the state as well as VRBO's service animal policy so no other families encounter this awful treatment. I also have pictures of other items of concern at the rental that should be addressed, such as the roach on the bedroom wall at night, the broken metal furniture on the balcony that tore my daughters pants and the black mold on the bathroom ceiling.

A Beautiful Condo

We used this property for our adult children for our extended family December Birthdays and Christmas celebration. They all commented on the comfort of the beds, the view and the spaciousness of the rental. The host was always available to answer any questions and was so personable. We would definitely consider renting this unit again in the future.

SML wedding weekend

We had a great stay to babysit our grandson while his mom and dad attended a wedding weekend on the property. We saw lots of deer, took walks and played on the Sandy beach.

Great place!

Great place right on the lake, perfectly placed for people who enjoy a low key pool, easy access to the marina and having a bar/restaurant a short walk away. The place is as advertised and my family enjoyed our stay. Took a point off of cleanliness just because there was oil left in the bottom of the stove and when I went to to preheat the oven the first time, it caught on fire (if I wasn't right there it could have been pretty bad there was alot of grease left) and other then a few stray dog hair tumble weeds it was pretty immaculate. I replaced a pack of cards my son decided to ruin, sorry about that. Thanks for letting us use your place for the week!

First visit to Smith Mountain Lake

Wonderful week at SML! Everything you could ask for is nearby and convenient - pools, beach, marina, pickleball, fitness center, restaurant all on the property. Condo had great views and was very comfortable and perfect for 6 adults.

Great condo with fantastic view in family-oriented resort

The condo was clean, well-stocked, has great aesthetics, and is well suited for adults with children. The resort offers many family-oriented activities, such as boating, swimming, tennis, Raquetball, pickle ball, pools, and beaches. Loved the deer in the evenings throughout the resort. It's great to have the Bridgewater Marina right on the property.

My family enjoyed our stay at the Condo. Smith Mountain Lake and Bernard’s Landing is a great place to vacation. The condo was nice. The one down side is the condo did not have a gas grill on the back pot. Otherwise, we had a terrific time.

Girls weekend

Very nice place to stay. They were working on the outside pool so it was a little noisy. Good location, close to our favorite spots.
