Really good location

Another great holiday with the grandchildren at The Bay. The cottage was just as we expected, clean and everything we needed. The only niggle was the creaking floorboards in the main bedroom and bathroom, so noisy when you're trying hard not to be through the night.

Fantastic cottage

We had a lovely few days at seaside cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Had everything you could possibly need, good location on the park, near to cafe/pub, shopand not far from beach. Nice touch leaving bottle of wine and crisps for our arrival and a card. We would definitely book it again if available on our next visit.

This was our 2nd stay at seaside cottage. It is lovely, comfortable and well equipped . Paula kept us informed about things and was only a phone call away if we needed anything. Hopefully we shall be back soon

Holiday summary

Had a fantastic week at seaside cottage, having stayed at the cottage next door last year, the location is superb with all amenities close to hand and is ideal for walking the dog with plenty of paths nearby The cottage was just what we wanted and was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed I’m sure we will return next year !!

Great mini break

Had a fantastic few days at The Bay Filey. The house was very clean and well maintained. Everything we needed was in the kitchen and was good quality. The only thing we would change is the 10 tog duvet (it’s July) and we would like blackout / thicker curtains. Would definitely stay again

Seaside cottage catered for our every need on our stay …. The estate itself is built to a very high standard and the cleanliness is A star …. The cottage is set within a 30 second walk to the local shop , chemist , arcade , pub and leisure facilities… you get a pass to enter the facilities for free ….. the cottage was fully equipped to cook with all utensils available would definitely stay again

The Bay and Seaside Cottage is dog friendly. The dog friendly beach is just a few minutes walk away. The pub, shop, arcade, pharmacy is just a few strides away from the front door and the table tennis table just outside the patio doors. Seaside cottage had a very comfortable king size bed in the main bedroom and 2 comfortable sofas. Perfect for a couple or family.

A home from home in an excellent location

The property is on a fabulous purpose built holiday village out on the outskirts of Filey. The property is showing some signs of wear in places but as it's a rental property by the seaside I'm not surprised at all, and overall the property is in great condition and has all the facilities you could need for a great holiday - a real home from home. The living space was quite comfortable though perhaps a slightly different layout would make it more so, as one settee is at a right angle to the tv. We would happily stay here again though and look forward to returning later in the year.

Great property

Stayed at The Bay many times, booking through various companies but first time in this property and with Filey Bay Direct. Made the booking very last minute (booked in the morning to arrive same day). Emails gave clear directions and instructions to access the property. Once we arrived, we were impressed with the cleanliness of the property. We booked pet friendly accommodation as we had our 2 small dogs with us, walking in you couldn't tell it was pet friendly as there was such a lovely clean smell. A little welcome gift of a bottle of wine and bag of crisps was a very nice extra touch. Generally we found the condition much better than some properties we've stayed in on site. We certainly wouldn't hesitate to book again!

Long weekend away

2nd time Ive stopped at sunrise cottage The location is brilliant and it has all of the facilities you could ask for however the property wasn’t as clean as my previous visit especially the bathroom and kitchen which the floor hadn’t been swept up and the upstairs toilet wasn’t cleaned properly either. Some of the walls in the hallway are showing a fair bit of ware and tear and could do with a lick of paint. Other than that the communication from Paula was great

Great place and location.

I stayed with my boy (6) for a short break (3 days). The booking and communication with Paula was excellent with everything was explained prior to arrival. The property, which is well equipped with everything you could expect, has a great location almost opposite the swimming pool and other facilities. The swimming pool is great, if a little busy at times. I didn’t use the other facilities as we found plenty to do at Filey and Scarborough. My only point would be if you were a family of 4 with older children the property is a little small, but for those with smaller children it is absolutely fine. I would definitely recommend this property.
