Brillant stay for a dog friendly holiday everything what we required was there.

Great experience in a lovely location . lot's of great walks for us and our pooch will definitely be returning next year.

Lovely short break

Lovely clean cottage next to the amenities. Beds were really comfy. Thank you to the owners for the wine and crisps . We would love to stay here again in future.

Fantastic stay

We had such a great week at this lovely cottage. The cottage was very clean with all the essentials you need on self catering. We also used the windbreak and chairs on the beach that were provided. The beds were very comfortable. Only a 5 minute walk to the beach which was a beautiful walk which ever direction you went. Its a lovely walk to Filey on the beach or on the coastal / ciiff walk. CJs was the best Fish and Chip shop to try in Filey. The pub in site was very poor. The only negative we had on the accommodation was the lack of an enclosed garden area for our dog, we had to keep the back door shut in the lovely weather and the table and chairs were always in shade and next to a busy path, so not very private.

So many visits to The Bay and Filey. Truely love it. Sea side cottage at the Bay brilliant base home from home. Highly recommend. Our host always provides satisfaction alround.

Really good location

Another great holiday with the grandchildren at The Bay. The cottage was just as we expected, clean and everything we needed. The only niggle was the creaking floorboards in the main bedroom and bathroom, so noisy when you're trying hard not to be through the night.

Fantastic cottage

We had a lovely few days at seaside cottage. Very clean and comfortable. Had everything you could possibly need, good location on the park, near to cafe/pub, shopand not far from beach. Nice touch leaving bottle of wine and crisps for our arrival and a card. We would definitely book it again if available on our next visit.

Holiday summary

Had a fantastic week at seaside cottage, having stayed at the cottage next door last year, the location is superb with all amenities close to hand and is ideal for walking the dog with plenty of paths nearby The cottage was just what we wanted and was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed I’m sure we will return next year !!

This was our 2nd stay at seaside cottage. It is lovely, comfortable and well equipped . Paula kept us informed about things and was only a phone call away if we needed anything. Hopefully we shall be back soon

Lovely stay!

We stayed at seaside cottage and would highly recommend! Great location, lots to do locally, and a quick walk to the beach and very dog and baby friendly. The kitchen was really well equipped with everything you need, beach stuff provided (chairs / tent / bucket spade etc.), hairdryer and plenty of towels provided. The beds were really comfortable and we were allowed to take our own duvet covers as our dog would have gone on the bed which made us less worried. We had a slight problem with the TV not working when we were there (only wanted in evenings once we put our baby to bed), which the owner kindly sent someone round to look at straight away, whilst it wasn’t sorted, we did manage to get iPlayer and that was fine as we only wanted it for a bit of chill time in the evening. Everything was really clean, the only thing I would report back is that the high chair was quite dirty and needed a clean prior to use but that was minor overall. The house, location, owner contact, were all great and we look forward to coming back. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Great mini break

Had a fantastic few days at The Bay Filey. The house was very clean and well maintained. Everything we needed was in the kitchen and was good quality. The only thing we would change is the 10 tog duvet (it’s July) and we would like blackout / thicker curtains. Would definitely stay again

Thanks for your review Sarah. There is a summer duvet on the main bed but the second superking bed only had the 1 duvet, so we've bought a summer one for it - and some blackout linings for the bedroom curtains. Your feedback is appreciated.

Some positives but unfortunately a couple of negatives.

The mattresses in both bedrooms were not very comfortable, also on stripping one of the beds i noticed the mattress protector had a stain which should have been replaced prior to our arrival. Kind Regards Lynn Wrack Mrs

Enjoyable experience

Seaside cottage catered for our every need on our stay …. The estate itself is built to a very high standard and the cleanliness is A star …. The cottage is set within a 30 second walk to the local shop , chemist , arcade , pub and leisure facilities… you get a pass to enter the facilities for free ….. the cottage was fully equipped to cook with all utensils available would definitely stay again

Comfortable

The Bay and Seaside Cottage is dog friendly. The dog friendly beach is just a few minutes walk away. The pub, shop, arcade, pharmacy is just a few strides away from the front door and the table tennis table just outside the patio doors. Seaside cottage had a very comfortable king size bed in the main bedroom and 2 comfortable sofas. Perfect for a couple or family.

A home from home in an excellent location

The property is on a fabulous purpose built holiday village out on the outskirts of Filey. The property is showing some signs of wear in places but as it's a rental property by the seaside I'm not surprised at all, and overall the property is in great condition and has all the facilities you could need for a great holiday - a real home from home. The living space was quite comfortable though perhaps a slightly different layout would make it more so, as one settee is at a right angle to the tv. We would happily stay here again though and look forward to returning later in the year.

Great place and location.

I stayed with my boy (6) for a short break (3 days). The booking and communication with Paula was excellent with everything was explained prior to arrival. The property, which is well equipped with everything you could expect, has a great location almost opposite the swimming pool and other facilities. The swimming pool is great, if a little busy at times. I didn’t use the other facilities as we found plenty to do at Filey and Scarborough. My only point would be if you were a family of 4 with older children the property is a little small, but for those with smaller children it is absolutely fine. I would definitely recommend this property.

Long weekend away

2nd time Ive stopped at sunrise cottage The location is brilliant and it has all of the facilities you could ask for however the property wasn’t as clean as my previous visit especially the bathroom and kitchen which the floor hadn’t been swept up and the upstairs toilet wasn’t cleaned properly either. Some of the walls in the hallway are showing a fair bit of ware and tear and could do with a lick of paint. Other than that the communication from Paula was great
