Beautiful cottage

We spent two days there with our three kids and everybody enjoyed this lovely house with a beautiful garden. Perfectly located to visit Cambridge!

The Thatched Cottage is lovely, full of character and charm, and within easy reach of Cambridge. Family loved staying in this house.

Lovely cottage

We enjoyed our time in Over! The town is so quaint and the cottage was very enjoyable. We loved the garden and kitchen. The host was also very responsive and we had everything we needed for a lovely week ❤️

Wonderful Visit

This was a great place to stay and made our trip very memorable. The house was perfect and very clean. The village was very nice with a wonderful tea shop right down the way and all the people at the pub were extremely friendly and included a nice outdoor area to enjoy dinner. Elizabeth was a wonderful hostess and communicated all details; very responsive.

Lovely cosy cottage

Really fantastic cottage. Stayed with my family for a New Year break and the cottage had everything we needed. Quirky layout but worked really well for us. Great communication with Elizabeth too

Nice and cozy house

We stayed there for 3 nights, primarily visiting Cambridge. The house is very cozy and clean, it also has a generous garden to sit outside. It is very easy to get into Cambridge via the Park and Ride stations. The host Elizabeth is very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Thatched Cottage happiness!

Really special 'Chocolate box' cottage, lots of space, nooks and crannys. Cosy rooms in the roof and the kitchen and dinning room very special for entertaining. The garden is a very special outside space.

Weekend Getaway

My sisters and I stayed in the cottage for a weekend away to catch-up and rest. The cottage had more than enough space for the three of us, and has a cosy feel inside. With the house being older, some parts were more of a challenge to navigate as we moved around, like the stairs, but we managed fine with some caution once we got used to it.We were blessed with gorgeous weather, so especially loved sitting outside in the garden, listening to the birds singing and looking at all the beautiful flowers as we chatted. We used the cottage as a base to explore the local area and visited St Ives, which was well worth the trip. We didn't get to see as much of Over itself, but what we did get to walk around was very picturesque and quiet.Elizabeth was a very helpful host, with excellent communication. Thank you!

Quirky cottage

A very old cottage with traditional furniture. Although well equipped for children it’s a constant worry that small children will trip over the many steps within the cottage. The stairs are very steep not suitable for those with limited mobility. The garden was a good size and as we had excellent weather we spent a lot of time in it. With both sun and shade available from the trees.

Weekend away!

Really enjoyed our weekend in this lovely cottage. Amenities were excellent. One night we phoned a couple of takeaway places, as advertised in the cottage information, and asked them to deliver to the property but told that due to Covid 19 they were not delivering that far out. However we found an Indian takeaway that delivered within the hour. So if you are thinking of having a takeaway please plan in advance. WiFi works best in one part of the cottage than another but this is not a major problem at all. We all had a lovely time and very easily located. The handover of the keys was very smooth and we were handed some tasty home grown produce. Lovely fresh flowers were ready and waiting to welcome us. The cottage has a lovely warm, family atmosphere. Many thanks and will definitely book again.

Fantastic family four night getaway

We had a fantastic 4 night stay. Our 7 and 4 year old loved the house. The quirky layout was idea and the additional kids toys which were different from their own was a nice treat. The fresh flowers in the cottage on arrival was a lovely surprise. The location was great for what we wanted, fresh air walks and access to Cambridge for some punting. We did have some fun removing very sticky mud off the shoes after a walk around the local fields. Even being 6ft 3 the ceilings didn't feel close and no bumped heads. The fact it is two cottages joined was great to share with another family giving privacy at bedtime. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive to any questions we had. We would highly recommend this cottage for those looking for a great family escape.
