Wonderful Vacation

One of the Best Vacations. Spacious, comfortable home with quick access to beach, pool, tennis and even furnished a golf cart. Views were beautiful and we enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Sunshine house

Nice place to stay and enjoy watching the tide come in and out across from Hunting Island state park. This place has everything you need in the kitchen to cook with even spices. It was like being at my own house. There's only a couch and love seat in living room. So seating for 5. We loved having the dining table to play games at. So thankful for the golf cart to go to the pool or beach. You can see the sunrise from the back porch.

Beach Trip

The location and privacy of this property was great. The cleaniness of the house was definitely not what we expected. All of the bedding in the house were covered in both human and dog hair, some blankets even had some stains on them. The bedding didn't not smell clean either. We had to wash all of the bedding and sweep the entire house. Also the golf cart could definitely use some upgrades or maintenance done to it.

Great for low-key family vacay!

Overall, this is a great place. The neighborhood and marsh are both gorgeous. The golf cart is very fun and convenient! We swam at the clubhouse pool daily. The house itself could use some repairs/updates, but it suited our needs just fine. If you are wanting to spend time at the beach, it is 100% worth it to pay for a membership and drive your car 5 min to the Hunting Island State Park beach (Park in Lot A @ the North Beach for closest parking to the beach!). The Harbor Island beach is North Facing which means hardly any waves or wind, and LOTS of biting gnats/flies. Hunting Island faces East and provided all the gorgeous beaches and boogie-boarding waves we were looking for. We drove there every day!

Beautiful home and location

Home is roomy, comfortable, decorated with bright colors, cute decor. The kitchen is stocked well with everything. The views off the decks are wonderful. The golf cart is a nice added feature to ride to the pool and ocean or just to ride thru the neighborhood.

Beautiful quiet retreat

This home is lovely and so peaceful. Surrounded by the marsh on two sides, there is only one neighbor and it was absolutely quiet. The views are breathtaking. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked, the best outfitted of any rental we have ever seen; all the way down to Bundt and cake pans and Corningware. The neighborhood doesn't do a great job of communicating activities to the renters; the flyers by the pool are not up-to-date nor provide enough specifics. You can go to the home section of the HOA website for a calendar, but when we stayed, even that did not show the water aerobics classes. Apparently there is a bulletin board outside the HOA office in building L of the condos. My teens did not enjoy the Harbor Island beach, the waves are almost non-existent, you can't even boogie board. This beach would be perfect for younger kids, seven and under, or anyone without expectations of any real waves. Hunting Island Beach (state park next door with entry fee) was a better fit for my family, I wish we had visited it sooner. We enjoyed the neighborhood and the golf cart very much. Host was responsive to questions. Home was clean.

Great Getaway

The location of the house was private and had incredible views off the back decks of the marshland and the ocean. The neighborhood was good and our kids loved the pool and the beach access we had using the golf cart. The community is about 20-30 minutes away from grocery stores and most restaurants but be sure to try the Shrimp Shack which is right down the street.

Pretty Beach House

This cute yellow beach house was inviting inside and outside. So neat, clean, roomy and comfortable inside that you were made to feel right at home The beds are comfortable and the bedrooms are roomy and painted in lovely colors. The view was awesome when the water came in and the wildlife was everywhere.....The golf care was a hit with everyone and everyone you met was friendly in Harbor Island. I would highly recommend this place called THE SUNSHINE!! The owners were extremely helpful and kind with any questions we had.

Great house!

My sister and I took our four boys for a week and had an amazing time! House the perfect set up for two families and although not on the beach, it definitely has one of the best views we’ve seen. Beach was a short golf cart ride away.

Perfect location

The location of this house is perfect. We initially wished we would have booked a beachfront property, but ended up loving this location. It was perfect overlooking the marsh, and had much more privacy and seclusion than a beachfront property could offer from the island. The golf cart rental included was perfect to maneuver thru the island. The community center staff was extremely nice. We were blessed to see 11 baby loggerhead turtles swim into the ocean, 3 alligators, countless migratory birds, dolphins in the morning, crabs and a ton of other wildlife. There were a few issues we had regarding the cleanliness of the house with finding dog droppings on the rug by the table, dog hair on the couch cushions, a cockroach found in the kitchen, and dusty bathroom blinds. The couches are fairly worn in and a little uncomfortable.

Nice vacation spot

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 8 people comfortable in home. Nice pool and courts. Beautiful views. Beach is on harbor so a bit non-traditional, but only 1 mile from Hunting Island Beach which is incredible. Very nice time.

Great multi family house

We had a wonderful time with great weather! Two families with 4 children ages 20-6, two with special needs. House was well equipped with everything you would need, pool was awesome, beach access was good. It was never busy during our stay. We had a relaxing week for all. We messaged or called owners several times and they were quick to respond. Very friendly and helpful. Loved our stay!

Secluded paradise!!

The house was perfect for our family. The views are amazing and you couldn’t ask for a better location to get away! Harbor Island was quiet and so relaxing. Our children could ride bikes and my morning walks were a chance to see the island. The beach is secluded and so peaceful. The homeowners are very good to work with and responded quickly to any questions I had about the house. It was nice to work with a friendly homeowner and I would definitely book with them again! If you haven’t been to Harbor Island you are missing out!! Just make sure you plan accordingly as we did so frequent trips to the grocery store are not required. It’s about a 20 min drive to the closest one.

The house was wonderful for our week vacation. We had a total of 7 staying and had plenty of space.

The house is located in a quiet and secluded area of the marsh with beautiful views of the ocean and Hunting Island. The neighborhood is quite and safe for kids too. Plenty of beach access areas, a large pool, tennis and basketball courts all provide plenty of things for the family and kids to do.

Wonderful Get Away!

We wanted to get away from the crowds during the 4th of July week. Couldn't have picked a better place! The house is isolated, with beautiful views from the back decks. Beaches were practically empty, even during this busy time. We had a kayak delivered to us right on the beach, which was terrific! The house is well-equipped and very clean. Our teenage boys loved having the entire upstairs to themselves, while my husband and I enjoyed the ease of living on the main floor. Our only complaint is that there's not a grocery store closer than Beaufort (about a 30 minute drive). Next time, I'd just come better prepared food-wise, to avoid frequent trips.

Perfect house for a Harbor Island getaway!

Wonderful house with a wonderful view. Everything you could possibly want for a nice getaway. Pool and the beach were just a golf cart ride away.
