The villa was so hot up stairs we could barely sleep! It was close to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants. I would not stay here again because of hot it was up stairs in the bedrooms.

Family vaca with cousins

The location was great. It was about a half a mile to the beach and all of the restaurants. The pool was shaded, which was great. When we got too much sun, we could just come back to the pool. It was a very quiet area. We had no issues with the condo, but we never heard back from the owner when inquiring about a parking pass.

Nice community, close to the beach

We had a great experience at Gina’s condo on HHI. It’s a spacious 2 bedroom right across from the beach access. The pool area was nice and not crowded. We will stay here again! Gina was fantastic to work with!

Great location and shaded pool

We stayed for a week and, while the villa could use some updates, we enjoyed our stay. The walk to the beach is about 8-10 minutes and the shaded pool with a shower is perfect for your return from the beach. Walking distance to Coligny was also about 10 minutes which was wonderful. Just park your car and walk or bike wherever you need to go!

Short vacation getaway

Gina is great to work with. She's dependable and will bend over backwards to help you out with whatever you need. The property is in a great location, close to the beach as well as shopping and several restaurants are close enough to either walk or bike to. We would stay here again.

Nice place to stay for a beach vacation

We've spent our long weekend at this place, and enjoyed the balance between relatively close (~10-15 mins walking distance) beach and shopping/dining areas nearby. There was a bit of mishap with parking tag in the beginning, so we were afraid to keep our car in the parking spot without risk of being towed, but I'm glad it was resolved the next morning. I also liked that Gina provided some fun beach inventory (children surf board and chairs, and whatnot) so if you forgot to bring something don't worry, you're most likely covered! Having a washer/dryer in the unit is also a great perk to deal with bath suits. Just bring your own detergent.

Decent stay but desperately needs attention

This property left us with very mixed feelings. While the location was good, most of the actual condo itself wasn't in very good shape. I question if the owner has even stopped by the condo this year. There are multiple outlets without even covers on them leaving exposed 110V connections in the wall (safety violations, anyone?), much of the house smelled musty, half of the chairs found on the deck were literally broken into pieces, the umbrella on the deck was so over-sized that it wasn't anywhere close to being able to be opened, the ice maker sort-of worked whenever it felt up to the task for an hour. Upon entering the condo, we found dirty dishes in the dishwasher, a dirty sock under one bed and a pair of shorts sticking out the crack of the couch. The WiFi modem wasn't even plugged in when we arrived and after plugging it in, it had reset the password so it took much longer than necessary to get it up and running. We only used the laundry once but it was enough to find that the dryer was so full of sand that it would take nearly 3 hours for it to sufficiently dry a medium sized load. Cleaned it out as best we could but it still needs serious attention. After our initial 12-hour drive to get to the condo, we were beat and arrived only to find that the door lock had been changed recently and the new code wasn't even given to us. We had to try for 15 minutes to get a hold of the manager, who left us with the impression that this isn't a personal property but rather a money-maker that's ran as cheaply as possible. The A/C did work but changed temps at a snails pace of about 1 degree per 12 hours. The upstairs never got under 71 degrees. This may be the norm for a lot of the homes around Hilton Head, but it still felt very weak. We do realize that this was one of the cheaper properties closer to the ocean and that the age-old adage "you get what you pay for" tends to hold true, but much of this stuff, even for a cheaper rental, is inexcusable IMO. Simply hiring a handyman for half a day would be able to fix more than half the issues we experienced. The condo has potential and maybe we caught it at a bad time of the year, but our stay was easily a 2.5/5 star visit so we'll be fair and round up.

Great time!

The condo is situated in the perfect location - close to the pool, a short walk to the beach and quick access to Coligny Plaza! We thoroughly enjoyed our time in HHI.

Awesome condo!!

The condo was very clean upon arrival and we thought it looked even nicer than the pictures made it seem. Great location to Coligny plaza and beach. The kitchen supplies were lacking a bit but definitely enough to cook a meal or two. Only update needed is on the bedding (sheets/pillows) they were pretty uncomfortable but fine for a week's stay. Overall great experience and great price!!

Great value

The property is in a great location right across the beach, and spacious for its price. It was kid friendly and stocked with kitchen pans and utensils, and there was an ice maker, washer and dryer. It worked well for our family. The only negative was that when we arrived the property had not been cleaned (the cleaning person had not shown). We cleaned up the kitchen and threw the garbage from downstairs out; we had brought our own paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags (normal for a few days stay). Luckily, the property owner responded within 30 minutes and arrived to replace the clean sheets and towels. Unfortunately, there was no partial refund for the cleaning fee. Notwithstanding, it was an excellent family vacation and a good property.
